Make sure you've got the newest version of yellowpee.

Thanks!
778  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Virus at Simchic - enter at your own risk on: 2006 November 01, 16:05:18
If it's coming from a trojan on the server, even putting up a "site closed due to virus" front page isn't going to do much... that page will quickly get infected and even visiting it will get you infected, so you might as well download!

Additionally, TSR has quite a few direct links into simchic for meshes... so they'd have to redirect all traffic to the "site closed" page.  That's not a minor job for a not-super-technical webmaster!

I do that too. It works out especially well from black and brown hair because then they have a chance of having a child with a different hair color.

What's cool is when your heterozygous CAS sims have grandchildren... and "great grandma" and "great grandpa" are suddenly looking at you even though they were deleted in CAS!

Did you run one of the 3 or 4 hack scanners lurking around the world?
781  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is there a way to fix a piece of under water road? on: 2006 November 01, 00:03:14
You need little barricades and "bridge out" signs...
782  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Need someone to look at this error log on: 2006 October 31, 23:16:21
Do you use phonehack?  If so, get an update for it.
783  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Teens and Elixir on: 2006 October 31, 23:13:23
Ah, so it was a koinkydink that exactly the 2 teens that used elixir also got their bars bolixed... saves me from attempting to mutilate another one!

Thanks for links... I'll be passing them on to other inquiring minds who want to know...

<cheers loudly>

Now I've gotta go looking for that 1x1 lot... been wanting one for ages!
786  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: There HAS to be a better way to find orphan meshes on: 2006 October 31, 19:36:29
It's built into SimPE, but the methods of storing/displaying the object info are so memory consuming that it errs out if you've got very much stuff.

Yes, a free standing app would be great!
787  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: In Need of PETS Compatible Teleporter on: 2006 October 31, 19:33:14
Look around the hack threads.  I think there's something that will "Make Stray," or was at least discussed.
788  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: non-corporeal pets lurking in the floor on: 2006 October 31, 19:29:32
Yes.  There's another thread here with the solution:

boolprop controlpets on
boolprop petactioncancel true

This reduces the problem by itself, and allows you to cancel whatever action got them stuck in the floor if it does happen.

Keep trying!  Thera described the same problem over on the Hullabaloo, and this was her final comment:

I guess she means put lots on the cross street...

Ok, one fugly dog face... much better than human males with one attractive face!

Alienate all their friends and ignore the chance cards?

Thanks and many BAAAAAAAAAAAs for you!  Chester Cheeze will now be trim and sexy and maybe his wife won't seduce half the NPCs in the game...
793  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Testers Wanted: Pets Custom Content Updater Program! on: 2006 October 31, 13:51:44
Yes, that's where they show up in the game.

Not to mention, no one was sufficiently stoned on caffeine to create ugly faces for them...
795  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Teens and Elixir on: 2006 October 31, 13:45:18
Don't use a no-CD crack, since I'm the only user of this computer.

Just happens to students that use elixir as teens and are created in CAS as teens or children, not sure if the second is relevant.  All other students in houses or dorms work fine.

Yes, it does seem to be purely visual.  The first Sim graduated with a 4.0 (even without College->Rampage) and the second in the high 3's (too busy chasing girls).
796  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Teens and Elixir on: 2006 October 31, 09:23:12
Has anyone had this happen?

1) Create a family in CAS with a teen or child.  Let the child grow up to a teen if necessary.
2) Extend the teen Sim's teen phase with elixir (for better grades so they can get into college or more skill points for more scholarship money or whatever).
3) Send them to college and move them into a house (not a dorm).

Once they get there, their progress bar draws 1/4 size, as if they need 3 skills that semester, whether they do or not.  If they do have the correct skills, you get no warnings about wasting accumulated points for Term Paper, Assignments, or Research.

I've had this happen with 2 different Sims, different expansion packs, different hoods, different houses, created as different ages in CAS.  The only thing they had in common was the elixir (and that they were "born" in CAS instead of the game).

Things I've tried to fix it:
1) Quitting and restarting the game.
2) Playing another lot, then playing the affected Sim's lot again.
3) Moving into a dorm and back.  The bar was normal in the dorm, still glitched when moving back into the house.
4) Just ignore it.  Make sure they've got the right skills and use College->Rampage to be sure the bar is full.

Anyone got any clue why this happens?
797  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 2006 Holiday Pack on: 2006 October 31, 08:44:19
Holiday Stuff is the old Holiday Pack, plus new stuff.  You will be able to buy a mini-pack with just the new stuff direct from the site.  Don't forget to burn it!

Or Wings 3D
799  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Yellow Pee Mod..Is it compatible on: 2006 October 30, 23:49:19
Make sure you get the latest one!  The earlier versions made the Maxis "can't pee when your bladder motive is solid red" bug ever worse.  The new one... well, let's say the nanny did her stuff on the sidewalk!

<snip> like, killing a baby?   <snip>

I think of it as teleporting them home.
