If it's to a specific person, about something no one else can answer, and completely unrelated to anything in the thread, ask them though pm. Your justification is irrelevant.
I didnt think of PM. Sorry for the disruption.

I must say the CDMA/CD update works fine with the latest version of World Adventures, which I heard is almost equivalent to 1.7...
Anyways, how's the testing of Awesomemod for 1.7 going now?

You're joking, right? I hope so considering this thread is called "Aweswomemod is not yet compatible with the expansion pack.".

I've tried doing everything everyone says to do: - delete AwesomeMod - delete the 4 *cache.package files - uninstalled the game (so now I'm running the base game) but my game keeps crashing (although I didn't get the core mismatch warning) Then I realized that every time I deleted the *cache files, they showed up in my documents\electronicarts\thesims3 folder again! And the thing is that they're not even the original files... they show that the date modified was today what is going on

As far as the cache files are concerned, though, they're recreated automatically every time you run the game, so that's perfectly normal. You only need to delete them when you change something significant with your CC.

Exactly that. The date depends on when the file is created/changed. And since it had to recreate it, it will have the date and time it was recreated.

Known bug, been there for ages, fix is part of AwesomeMod. Is this true for other "simulating object is null - unable to obtain an interaction object" script errors too, or only for household switching?

Just that particular one. It's caused by the game trying to assign two maptags to the same object, which, since the maptags are stored by a dictionary using the target object as a key, is no-go. AwesomeMod fixes this by checking to see if the object already exists, and then discarding the duplicate.

but my game keeps crashing (although I didn't get the core mismatch warning) what is going on You do realise that AM is not yet compatible with WA or a 1.6/1.7 patched game? The current version of AM available for download is only compatible with a 1.4.6 patched game. The new 1.6/1.7/WA compatible version should be available soon, as Pescado has mentioned in other posts. Using the current AM on any other game version causes it to crash, as has been stated previously.

Kjs: Make sure your game hasn't set itself back to auto update as well. I think it may default to that if you have reinstalled. Did you move the mod framework to WA and possiblly forget to move it back when you uninstalled? Forgot the mod dll file perhaps? Have you tried loading the game without any CC in at all yet to make sure it works without the CC?

Well, since I haven't heard any anguished wails of doom from the first testers, we can commence the public test. You can get the Base 1.7.9/WA 2.2.8 AwesomeMod here. Base and WA at the latest patch level seem to have the same core, so one item works for both, as mentioned.

Can you confirm if AM MUST be installed in the WA game folders, or does it work OK from the base game folders?
Tried the link, but got 404'ED!

URL fixed. Worked for me from base-game folders. YMMV.

Can we still use the "AwesomeMod Configuration Tool" with this test one for WA?

I went to base folder, then up to parent and over and down to test folder. Then it would download to my PC.
However game with Adventure ep tosses a "maybe awesomemod corrupted" and game shuts down as noted in error verbiage. adventure ep installed: says i am running version: 2.2.8.002001 which is the Pacific Northwest Adventure ep current install. I guess. I was lead to believe that v1.7 is equivelent to 2.2. Guess not. SO this recommended awesome.package 11/22/2009 9:07 am (4,474 kb) does not work for me. Thanks,

I'm having a core mismatch. My first guess is that it requires me to have the patch for WA, though I hadn't seen anything about one. However my guesses have been wrong before, which is why I'm posting this.

There HAS been a patch for WA, so I suspect your hypothesis is correct...

Okay. Please help me out here. I haven't played Sims 3 in a few months but want to fire it up again a bit BEFORE getting WA on Christmas, so I need to update Awesome Mod for the base Sims 3 game. Will the newest version be good for both or will there be 2 different ones? So confused....
