Hmm...now I am curious.  Roll Eyes

I don't know about plummeting when they have babies, though. It has been a long time since I had any kids, but I don't recall that causing me to be repulsed by my spouse, or vice-versa. Maybe I was lucky or something.

That is all I can use, too, Ness.

I had no problem at all opening up the neighborhood with the browser. I also did sim surgery on 5 servos successfully. I have all EPs and stuff packs.
I really appreciate you making this available. It was much needed. BAAAAAAAAH!
129  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: [TUTORIAL] Customizing Christianlov's Custom Skintones Selector on: 2007 December 16, 06:13:40
For the record, servos will keep normal sim skin via Sim Surgery if you clone them with a different body mesh (i.e. body builder, elder), but on the VERY rare occasion that they do change into servo skin, just make them change to formal then back to everyday. Now, about a week ago I used the debugger to fix...age body on two of them and it gave them regular adult sim bodies. They have stayed that way through 3 cycles of my hood (56 lots x 2 sim days each) without issue. My cloned servos have lasted a full generation with a negligible occurrence of going back to servo skin.

I tried finding the skintone selector at MTS2 not too long ago and it seemed to be missing...

What I would really like to see is the attraction score dropping (especially for those 3 bolt couples) over time of being together. While many couples do still find each other hot after so many years, the honeymoon phase does end - sims are in perma-moon, and it drives me nuts.
131  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Error from Pet Grave on: 2007 April 14, 13:24:48
Most of my pet graves error because when they die, often the front of the grave is not the same as what the game thinks the front of the grave is. This is made worse when a pet grave is haunted, as it always turns it the opposite direction (180 deg.) after being haunted. Resetting the grave of a ghost that errors while it is haunting will turn it back the right direction. Funky pet graves seem to be the norm, unfortunately. I have had them disappear off of residential lots, so I move all of mine to an owned graveyard, as pet graves do not seem to be accessible in buy/build otherwise.

I second that. I would love these hairs in my game if you still have them handy Smiley
133  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Business Controller: Business Runs YOU! on: 2007 April 09, 00:48:42
For me, the problem was with the garden plots. I did not have that problem with the orchard tree, but.I haven't been on an orchard lot that is ready to harvest since the update, so I can't say for sure, however. Probably sometime later this evening I will, and will post results in this post as an edit, unless you get to if faster. Tongue
134  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Business Controller: Business Runs YOU! on: 2007 April 08, 21:46:09
I am not patched, for the record. The latest version of macrotastics that was updated earlier today seems to have stopped the harvest shuffle. The giant garden runs like a well-oiled machine now. Yay!
135  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: GeForce 5500 Problems on: 2007 April 08, 14:58:17
I played with a 5500 until a month ago (with Pets), and did not have these problems. The only thing I can think of is either the fan on your card (perhaps even processor) is so dirrty it is overheating, or the card has gone bad. If the card is bad, it has a lifetime warranty, so you should be able to replace it for free.

Also, you may want to check your RAM. I have 1GB, and that is just barely enough to have the game run smoothly with good graphics.

Let Windows pick your pagefile size.

Where did you get the dreds?

Oh yes, somehow I managed to miss that. Sorry! Yes, they are Nouk's, and I actually got them at MTS2, but they are at her site as well. Thanks, Morrigrane.
137  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Another Environment Question: Greenhouses on: 2007 April 04, 20:41:17
I haven't had it rain or snow in any of my greenhouses. I easily have around 30 greenhouses, half of which are attached to houses, and all of which have a good 10 sim days of play each. It may be that they aren't putting the roof all of the way across? Or, perhaps you are thinking of the overwatering bug that happens when it rains? Indoorplantfixes by Pescado fixes that.
138  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Another Environment Question: Greenhouses on: 2007 April 04, 13:22:32
Well, after a bit more testing, I have found that if all walls of the greenhouse are greenhouse walls with the garden plots (unless in a different part like above), it drops their environment. If one is a normal wall (say attached to a house) it is fine with the garden plots - even without any decorations or fountains.

Ok, I'll just keep an eye out as I go from lot to lot. The season lot bug is presumably on the EA list of glitches they plan to fix with the second patch, but who knows if it can be trusted. I didn't dare install p1.

It does work 95% of the time, by the way. Even on very long (many days), multi-lot/hood trips. I certainly would not want to play without it now. The time thing was one of my top 5 annoyances.
141  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Environment preference of the sims on: 2007 April 03, 22:38:52
Well, after extensive testing I have come to the conclusion that color schemes have no affect whatsoever, period. Test sim results as follows:

TK-432 sat patiently on the sofa, power idling while redecoration took place. A very good servo, indeed.

Here we have the original setup - primarily blacks and reds:

Now we change to a blue theme, no environment change.

Maybe white will make a difference? Nah. I even changed the walls and floors - both the same cost as the originals.

I thought that perhaps, being a servo, TK-432 was less sensitive. Also, sheets have been mentioned a lot. So, I decided to test the sheet theory with the most sensitive of sims - the vampire. Johann is our faithful test subject for the sheet theory. We start with the standard black, and Star Wars bedding:

So I change the colors to light wood with lighter bedding. No change.

Alas, I give in and buy a new bed - exact same model/bedding and...voila! Environment finally goes up. Imagine that. Tongue

So you see, Gali, not *all* of us redecorate by purchasing new furniture - and that is the REAL difference in your environment score. Sorry to disappoint you Smiley

I am at  a complete loss. I have had between 80 and 90 hours of gameplay since my last post (being stuck in bed has benefits Tongue), and every time I think I have it nailed, something happens to disprove it. The only thing that remains consistent without fail (I am sure I just jinxed myself here), is that sims who visit the lots they own never have a time lapse between leaving and arriving at the owned lot, never arrive on triple speed, and always come back when they are supposed to. Other than that, it has been completely erratic. I have gone so far as to type out *everything* in notepad for every outing - successful or not. I have even forced errors one one object per visited lot, and tried to compare what might be there that I am not seeing. None of the failed ones show anything in common so far. Is it possible that it is partially related to the MEAxian bug regarding the season transition from residential to community lot? I know that it is supposed to be the same day of the same season (1,2,3, or 4) when you arrive. I have had sims visit say...the lake (third day of fall), then go to grab some lunch at another lot (first day of fall), then back to the lake the same day, and it is the first day of fall at the lot where it was the third. I have no idea if that could have anything to do with it, but I thought I would mention it, since that is obviously wonky.
143  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Another Environment Question: Greenhouses on: 2007 April 03, 20:34:11
Actually, I noticed this last night as I was playing. I have a large greenhouse, with lots of nice things in it (fountain, potted plants, etc.), and the garden was thriving. Yet their environment score was at 50%. I started moving all kinds of things around, it would not go up. I do not have sprinklers in it. Out of curiosity, I closed off the part with the garden plots, and their environment score was suddenly up. Then I completely removed the greenhouse, and the environment stayed up. Something about the greenhouse seems to make the gardens bad.
I took shots of each, only unpausing to let the score rise and fall. You can see the difference easily.

Bills are purely based on lot value, making them closer to property taxes than utility bills. Otherwise you'd be able to avoid them much like I do. I'm not billed for lights on or off, either. Radioactives don't decay more slowly merely because you turned the lights off. Tongue

Mah, so much for logic. I would much rather have it based on actual usage. Oh well. I would also like owned lots to have bills.  Pfft.

Back on topic:  I will entertain this color scheme-thing, and perform my own experiment. (Actually I have some redecorating to do at one lot, and I feel like humoring The Mutilator) Tongue
145  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Environment preference of the sims on: 2007 April 03, 10:10:13
I thought the utility bills were based on the value of high priced articles on the lot? Not actually the power being used.

I thought they were based on type of light, appliance, electronic, etc., as well as how many of each. While what you suggest would fall into MEAxian logic...it makes me wonder how much it costs to run a sofa  Huh

Perhaps someone knows this, because I am very curious now.
146  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Environment preference of the sims on: 2007 April 03, 08:08:48
ONLY $2,500?!?! I'm lucky if any of mine go over $600 - even at Greek houses it is never over $700. Average is around $250.
147  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Environment preference of the sims on: 2007 April 03, 07:02:10
They must have unbelieveably high utility bills with all of those lights you like to use  Shocked
148  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Warmth Fix Mod on: 2007 April 03, 06:46:27
Actually, you can add the roof, there just can't be any windows there when you do, and you have to add the house roof afterwords if it is on the same floor.
149  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Garden Club Error on: 2007 April 03, 06:39:12
I actually have a ton of cc garden stuff, and it was inspected successfully. Even got points for them. I imagine that perhaps hacked plants, such as the things stay shrub, may be the real culprit? I do have the teleporter plus, but I can't recall at the moment if it has been on a lot that has been inspected. It may be, but if it is on the lot I am thinking of, it is behind a short flowerbed-type fence and has daisies under it as well, so they get the "can't go there" thought bubble and move on.

Here is a gem I found about a year and a half ago at MTS2. Jeanette from Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines. Now, not only is this a great whore outfit, but it is a REALLY poorly made whore outfit
Outfits made of video-game characters are disqualified.

I had to share this. I know, I am bad...but not as bad as that outfit. Tongue
