There is most likely a pre-made hack/mod for the forum for funding support, I know there is for other forum software. Surely someone else has done it already. The benefit is that everyone will always know the current state of funds and no one has to remind them.

I'm having trouble sending my sims to work at the business building and the warehouse building in your sunset valley expanded. They keep complaining that they can't get in...but when I walk them step by step to it they can.

Another one of those issues that everyone but me is having Tongue

I plan to go over that area in the next update, but with my recent look over that area I was unable to find anything amiss. All my Sims enter and exit that building perfectly fine. Did you uninstall the previous version of the world before attempting to update to the newer version, and clear your world caches? (you can't install over the top).

I've not encountered anything like that. All I can think of is it could possibly break if you applied the tweak when the Sim was already pregnant. You will know at the end of the term either way.

Just finished making my combined package.  Guess what!  All those horrible, hideous outfits?  They're marked Valid for Random across multiple categories.

Great! Need to update my tuning file for Dresser. It doesn't surprise me though, the CAS categories are probably worse than the buy mode categories in terms of correct placement.
55  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Weird DCCache issues when installing Store/CC on: 2012 July 20, 21:25:52
Hey Anach, any chance you can do that list without the dates and times?

Done.

I had a few things that simply wouldn't install from the main set, so for those I have individual items. However, most are simply that I've no idea what set they come from, so I've not removed them.
56  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Weird DCCache issues when installing Store/CC on: 2012 July 20, 10:18:41
I had hoped that someone would have replaced the launcher by now, with something easy to use, reliable for installing and uninstalling, has proper categories, and search.
57  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Weird DCCache issues when installing Store/CC on: 2012 July 20, 09:22:13
Hmm, good point, I may well be missing stuff. I'll have to wipe the smug smile off my face and install in a bitly fashion. There have been a couple of things I've looked for lately and not been able to find.

Even doing it with less files, who is to say there isn't some stuff still missing. Unless you use every item, it's not easy to tell. I only noticed it after a reinstall and happened to get the "objects have been replaced" type message on a couple random items. Took me a while to work out what it was, as the messages aren't particularly helpful.
58  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Weird DCCache issues when installing Store/CC on: 2012 July 20, 08:29:27
My directory of official sims3packs is 5.42Gb 636...

OK, I Keep a backup of all my vanilla sims3packs and I think(thought) I have(had) everything and I only have 515 items at 4.85 gigs. I know I may have missed backing up an item or two but still, as far as CC goes that is a big difference. Now my DCCache folder has 12 dbc files, ebc files are non store stuff, at 2.96 gigs. Hows yours? I only ask because I am crazy and MUST HAVE THEM ALL!!!! As far as installing goes though I've only had to re-install everything once or twice and I tried it the first time all at once, it missed a lot of stuff. After that I did one page at a time and all went well.

DCCache is 2.94Gb, 12 items. I probably have a couple duplicated items in there, such as individual items from sets for bug fix reasons and while I usually attempt to avoid duplicate sets and only cleaned them out recently, there might be a couple duplicates from compilations, simpoint bundles or naming differences.. I'm pretty sure I have all the Dr Pepper stuff and all worlds are installed. So based on the size of our installed content, It seems we have pretty much the same, and the difference might be simply compression from running s3rc, or possibly you have more actual items than me, and if so, I MUST HAVE THEM!

I did just notice that my more recent backup on my server has 5.62Gb and 612 files. I'll do a compare later and see if I can work out why that is, and I'll post a directory listing so you can compare that against your own directory.

*edit*
Ok my server had some fixes in the folders and I had 2 custom lots in my local folder, so that explains the differences, however, allowing for the duplicates and extras I found, I have only managed to get it down to 582 files, so possibly some duplicates there still.

I have attached the current directory listing.

Did it ever occur to you that trying to install over 2,800 sim3packs at once might not be a good idea?
I wasn't aware that many Sims3Packs even existed. Has the Store really gotten that huge?

My directory of official sims3packs is 5.42Gb 636 files and that is almost everything I could get my hands on. So I guess the OP has a lot of CC installed via sims3pack. I learned a while back that trying to install even 636 files all at once will cause the launcher to miss a lot of content, requiring reinstall. So I did it in groups of 20, which the crap-launcher was able to manage.
60  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread on: 2012 July 15, 13:24:41
Would it be possible to change the outfit copy/move command to specify a sim:  "outfit[cp|mv] [sim] <source category>[.#] <destination category>[.#]" and maybe even a different sim as destination: "outfit[cp|mv] [sim]<source category>[.#] [sim] <destination category>[.#]"?
61  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Collections on: 2012 July 15, 02:23:14

Due to EA's "naming" conventions, I have no idea which files are which, and there may be collections included for non-store cc collections.  Simply delete any collections you don't want/have while in-game.  Collections should work regardless of installation method.

If you open up in s3pe and click the hex button, you can see the name of the collection in the top few lines.
62  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Combining Packages - best results? on: 2012 July 14, 11:24:57
Something to do with the way the early hairs were made before tools were updated. I don't recall exactly what the problem was though, or if it caused problems in-game.
63  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.36: Now more invasive than you! on: 2012 July 14, 11:23:31
I've made collection files for all the store sets so far.  I should probably update my upload of those.

Definitely!
64  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Combining Packages - best results? on: 2012 July 12, 23:46:25
most NRaas mods need to be higher priority than core mods like Awesome, or you may get problems.
That's why Awesomod is left alone, with its config it's the only non-merged files I have. I've put the merged mods package in the override folder and everything works. Keeping a folder with the unmerged files is the key, use that folder to manage the files by removing the obsolete mods and putting the updates. Merge that folder with S3PE and replace your merged package.

Your filing system sounds similar to mine. My non-merged files are sorted into folders based on what file I merge them into, so I always know which file I have to re-merge if I want to change something.
65  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Combining Packages - best results? on: 2012 July 12, 14:19:48
I can't get a lot of cc hair to merge.  It works fine in the game and doesn't show any conflict in Dashboard, but throws up a ton of errors when I try to merge it.  I just leave my cc hair alone.

If you can find an example of which hairs wont merge, post the links to the files on my merging support thread in the s3pe forum at simlogical. Is it an error you get, or simply that they don't work in game? Personally if a file is even slightly suspect, I tend to throw it away, but if there is a problem with the merge process, it would be good to track it down.
66  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Diesel: Now more invasive than you! on: 2012 July 12, 05:28:45
What Anach said. Since all of my stuff is decrapped, I don't even see the little box in my game.

There's probably a file somewhere that needs decrapping.

It does have to have some sort of online feature though, you only get collections of store sets you own. They also included CAS sets for some reason.

There is probably a file in the downloads folder with manifest of owned sets. If that is the case, it would make editing it for decrapified sets very difficult, as there is no where to get that information. Best to stick to standard collections, much easier.
67  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Combining Packages - best results? on: 2012 July 12, 05:23:20
I also combine my mods together in their own pack, so it's easy and fast to re-do it. (When you have over a hundred mods installed, you do see the difference).

I didn't know it was ok to merge mods together. I merge all my other cc, but I for some reason always thought it would be a bad thing to merge any mods. Are there any I shouldn't combine? I mostly have smaller mods that do things like disable sounds or certain animations as well as no mosaic and a few of Twallan's mods.

I have a ridiculous number of mods combined into two packages, one in Overrides and the other in Packages. Around half of those are basic things like texture replacements, and the other half is made up of small-scale XML tuning mods, scripting mods, and a few large-scale mods like AM and much of the NRaas suite. So far I haven't had any trouble with combining them but I keep unmerged copies of everything on a flash drive, just in case, and I always scan them with the Dashboard before merging them.

The sort of mods you're describing would most likely be fine merged, but you can always keep an unmerged backup.

It's not necessary to merge everything, it depends how compulsive you are. So far everything I've tried to merge has worked, but remember, most NRaas mods need to be higher priority than core mods like Awesome, or you may get problems.

Just an FYI.All my stuff is decrapified, and installed via the launcher. I did not decrapify my ccmerged, nor am I using the one provided here, and yet all my premium store content works perfectly fine.
69  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Diesel: Now more invasive than you! on: 2012 July 11, 02:05:21
Wow. Before posting, maybe you guys should look into things for yourselves, instead of spreading someone else's idiotic conspiracies.

The advertising of store items that you do not own has been in game for a while now, and that is turned off via an option. The new feature comes with the 1.36 patch, not the Diesel Stuff Pack. It isn't advertising, it appears to be automatic collections of the stuff you do own, albeit unreliable as usual. However, for most of you, this will probably be an empty and useless feature.
70  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 07.09.2012) on: 2012 July 10, 10:40:16
It would require some testing, but I'd imagine they would have disabled ccmerged entirely to make sure it doesn't conflict with the new xml. Which makes sense, as people often delete DCBackup, as well as the issues with different methods of installs, it would be far less painful the new way.
71  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Combining Packages - best results? on: 2012 July 10, 05:08:14
As long as they are under 4Gb you shouldn't encounter any problems. However, for sanity and speed, I would suggest keeping them under the 200Mb mark, as anything over that will make it painful whenever you wish to re-merge to remove something. As Painkiller pointed out, the best package size will be limited by your system specifications, so everyone shouldn't expect the same success at merging larger packages. Just remember to use autosave, and if you encounter any packages that wont merge, then throw them away, as they are most likely bad.

Updated for 1.36. Untested yet, as I'm also waiting for other mods authors to update.

When it comes to incest, I'm more inclined to allow you to do it, then give you the retarded, deformed flipper babies you clearly asked for. If I ever get around to it.

On a similar note to incest, but not quite as illegal. Could I request that the unlocking apply to the vampire interactions that are blocked for related Sims, so we can drink from and offer to turn relatives?
74  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 06.29.2012) on: 2012 July 01, 02:30:10
Not before there's a tutorial for s3rc to fix the categories and such.

There are examples provided in my s3sr thread. Otherwise you can always ask in that thread. If you are already doing it via s3pe, then you have done most the work.

The only steps it cuts down on is having to use someone else's ancient revision OBJD/OBJK/CASP file, and you can make alterations to existing edits quickly via script, and reapply all changes easily after a patch.
75  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 06.29.2012) on: 2012 June 30, 16:26:02
Any custom content that cannot be extracted into package and added to your overrides is probably shitty quality/shittily created anyway.

This is how I decide what to keep and what not to keep. Anything that is crap quality, missing features, or doesn't work properly, I avoid. Hard enough keeping the game running smoothly as it is, without adding crap. There is an amazing amount of crap out there, yet people install it because it looks ok, and wonder why their game crashes. I also refuse to install CC as sims3pack, but that's just my preference for sanity.
