Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Anti Watch Out!

Ok, with the latest, most shiny version of antiwatchout.package installed with Pets, My Sim refuses to get in the car, and the balloon above his head implies that he thinks the driveway is in the way(?).
Took out antiwatchout, and the problem went away.

TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: The Future Of MATY Auto Updating...... Rsync.
|
on: 2006 October 18, 09:25:37

Have you updated the rsync server with the "pets" directory yet? If so, how does "update-start.bat" need to be formatted?
I tried ".\update-hacks.bat "rsync://synczone.no-ip.org/ffs/" "pets" "/hacks/" "'/cygdrive/c/Documents and Settings/<Username>/My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads/'"", but it didn't work.
If you haven't updated it with the pets directory yet, do you plan to do so soon?

I believe what Data means is that the mods that it downloads are only those that had been released prior to the given date. Pescado has released some new stuff since then (completely new mods) that are not covered by this program. The program will download all the mods without any version checking.

I am so excited about these. I recently decided to start my game over (again) and have been putting off actually playing because I want to wait for these to get ready first. Just so you know, it's all your fault that I went out and spent my hard-earned money on GTA: Liberty City Stories for the PS2.

I wish there was. It could be used to add a bit of "exploration" to the 'hood. Take the taxi from home to downtown, then walk from one lot to another just checking 'em out.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Possible conflict with the non-awesome - How to resolve?
|
on: 2006 June 06, 15:46:12

Ok, I just ran the hack conflict tool, and got the following result:
*** POSSIBLE CONFLICT DETECTED *** Procedure Name: Function - Portal - SG Group ID: 0x7FD0DEBA Instance ID: 0x0000200A Packages Containing This Procedure: \downloads\Hacks\authorized_personnel_only.package \downloads\Hacks\fatd-clothescontroller-doormod.package
Does this mean I can't use these together, or can I rename one or the other to make them both work?

Haven't used it yet, but I think it's safe... From the readme: Notes: The game sees this object as a trash can. There is nothing special about it other than it's appearance and the fact that it never gets full. Also, I wanted to mention that Numenor has something kind of like this... A coal stove that can be used as a stove, an oven, and a trash incinerator. No jet of flame coming out the top, though. Get it here: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=131507

You can always use boolprop testingcheatsenabled true (entered into the cheat window, of course) and then shift-click on the family members you don't want to actively control anymore and select 'make unselectable'. I believe that will accomplish what you want to do, but I'm not 100% sure.

Also, the spontaneous reboot could be a power supply issue. If you added the card yourself, the power supply that came with your machine might not have enough juice for it.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Necklace mesh for male sims?

Dammit, none of those are free meshes. Grrr... I wanted to make MedicAlert necklaces for simmies, but I don't want to use a pay mesh to do it. (mainly because I don't have the money to download it in the first place, but also because I don't want other people to have to pay to download it either.) Well, at least I can use Dr. Pixel's free mesh to make some for the ladies.

Dr. Pixel's mesh is female only, and I want to make some necklaces for males. Actually, I want to make them for both, so I am planning to use Dr. Pixel's mesh for the females and something else (if I can find it) for the males.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Looking for lists
|
on: 2006 June 02, 01:22:22
|
Ok, I am hoping one of the smart masses here can help me find what I am looking for. I want to make my own collections (with the collections builder tool posted here) to make community items available on residential lots and vice-versa. The reason I want to make my own is so that I can make several, sorting them into categories so that they will be more useable for me. What I need is a list of what items are available only on residential lots and what items are available only on community lots (if it showed which EP/SP/BP/whatever-the-hell-P they come out with next that each one came from, that would be a plus, but not 100% required). Anyone here know where I can find this information?
