I'm not going to replace the mesh, but I might make it morphable in-game into something. What objects do you suggest as morphs?

Here's a thought: Make it morphable into an open/closed sign, and add the open/closed functions to its menu when in that morphed state.

Not bad, although I do agree with those who said the one on the right was too green.
53  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Aging for townies/downtownies? on: 2006 June 01, 13:17:53
Ok, this may or may not be possible, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

I know someone over at MTS2 has a mod to enable aging on community lots. While I wouldn't want this due to the whole double-aging thing, it got me to thinking that if someone could create a mod that would allow townies & downtownies to age, both on community lots and while visiting your playable sims, it might actually be a good thing. Is such a thing possible?
54  TS2: Burnination / Taster's Choice / Re: Simlogical teleporters (updated 31-05-2006) on: 2006 June 01, 13:10:34
Ok, I know this is probably a stupid question, so feel free to point and laugh, throw old fruit & vegetables, stale popcorn, etc... But what exactly is the difference between townies and downtownies? Do only downtownies show up on downtown lots and townies show up on all other community lots? Which ones are used when our sims want to bring someone home from work/school?
55  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Self-Employed & Happily Unemployed career mods on: 2006 June 01, 12:53:37
Meh, I suppose I could go and update noretiredjobspam to include business-owners now. The description of that one looks like it's twisting the game's arm in ways it wasn't meant to be twisted, plus it'll probably hog the computer job ads or something.

Yes, please!

Awesome!

You better run away... Get back to work! Before you go, though, could you hand me a towel?
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Replanting? on: 2006 May 30, 11:38:36
Yesterday, I was playing one of my home business lots when Dustin Broke proceeded to stomp to death 5 or 6 flowerbeds, and it made me remember how in the Sims 1, whenever you had flowers (and shrubs too, I think) on your lots that died (because you forgot to hire a gardener or water them yourself, for example), you could click on them and select 'replant', which would cost the same as the flowers originally did when you placed them, but was something your sim would do, rather than you needing to go into buy mode and delete the offending plantlife and replace it with a new one. In addition, if you hired a gardener at that point, the gardener would take care of the replanting for you.

So anyway, long story short (too late!), remembering this made me wonder if such a thing could be hacked for TS2, maybe as a part of the Macrotastics gardening macro and/or part of the gardener's duties?
59  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty Templates. on: 2006 May 30, 09:17:41
Did you ever finish the templates that only had the Maxis playables and townies that they already knew? I know you said that it was nearly (if not completely) possible to do so for Bluewater village, and the Downtown in the merged hood is already done that way (right?), but I would really like to have the "trimmed" universities if at all possible.

If nothing else, could you tell me the procedure I'd have to follow to do it for myself?
60  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: When do they whine? on: 2006 May 30, 09:10:04
LOL! You don't know me very well, then... I'm such a couch/mouse potato that I usually wait 'til my bladder bar's about to burst before I take care of the problem... But then again, that's probably more information than you wanted to know!
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / When do they whine? on: 2006 May 30, 09:02:44
Ok, this is probably a strange question, but I'm gonna ask it anyway, because I need to know.

At what point (from -100 to 100) does a sim first complain about low bladder motive without any mods in place to prevent such complaints?

Also, what personality points cause the fastest drain on the bladder motive? I'm guessing lazy slobs would be worst. Is that right?
62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Invite Neighbors? on: 2006 May 30, 04:59:35
Well, I noticed it as soon as I read it, but I didn't read it until several hours after you corrected it. Tongue

* BlueSoup is bouncing off the walls waiting for this.

*Joins Blue and bounces in the opposite direction so we criss-cross in the middle of the room.....

I am so excited for these!

c

*joins Blue and dink and bounces at a 90 degree angle to their direction of travel...

*hopes his timing is right or we're gonna have a big mess in the middle of the room in a bit...

I have been on the edge of my seat waiting for these since I first saw them... Poor chair is about to break!
64  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Visitor-Enabled objects? on: 2006 May 28, 04:15:35
No global mod that I am aware of, but I for one would like to see more items that are not already visitor-enabled made so. For example, when you posted your visitor-enabled computer on MTS2, I asked if you could visitor-enable the alienware PC. Even better, though, would be to visitor-enable the version of the Alienware PC posted somewhere on this site (I forget who by) that has all the Uni & OFB features added. That way, we'd be able to have some variety in our cybercafes.
65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Resizing a lot on: 2006 May 28, 04:07:49
That would generally work, but there are times when recreating a building by hand would be a big pain in the ass, such as when the creator made use of cheats a lot when building to obtain just the right look.
66  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Resizing a lot on: 2006 May 27, 19:51:50
At best, I can see the possibility for extending the depth of the lot

How would you go about doing that? I can think of times when it would be nice to add more depth to a lot.
67  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bookmarking a search? on: 2006 May 27, 19:48:57
But a saved page won't be updated with new uploads, will it?
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bookmarking a search? on: 2006 May 27, 08:54:15
Why would you want to?

Because then I can search for terror/red (for example) and be able to bookmark those results and call up all of the hacks that were rated as such without having to re-do the search each time I needed it.
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Bookmarking a search? on: 2006 May 27, 06:55:31
Is it possible to bookmark a search on this site? Everytime I have tried, when I load the bookmark later, I get the error: "Did you forget to put something to search for?"
70  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Resizing a lot on: 2006 May 27, 06:48:02
Ok, I have a couple of questions for all you out there who are so much more awesome than me:

1. Is it possible, via SimPE or some in-game cheat to change the size of a given lot? If so, how?
2. If it is possible, is it possible to change the size to something other than the standard sizes?
71  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Programmable Sleep Clock v3.31 (02/01/06) on: 2006 May 26, 22:04:27
Click on a fridge, select make many... single plates or group meals, then the type of meal. they will maike them and stick them in their (or the lot owner's, if it's a business or home business lot) inventory.
72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I have mean sims! What did I do? on: 2006 May 26, 22:00:15
Once you start using BUY, you will never want to be without it. It makes life SO much easier. That and all the macrotastics recommended mods.
73  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Programmable Sleep Clock v3.31 (02/01/06) on: 2006 May 26, 12:47:29
Cook the meal using the OFB packratting option without the smart serve hack installed.
74  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Face Template Replacements (Work in Progress - Pictures) on: 2006 May 26, 09:17:41
Landlords can be a b**ch, can't they? Look on the bright side... once you get settled into your new place, create a sim of your landlord and then kill him off. Then resurrect him. Then kill him off again... lather, rinse, repeat.
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What controls how much a photo can be sold for in OFB? on: 2006 May 26, 03:20:29
Thanks for the tip, nocomment... That might actually be useful, if I ever get a photo that I want more than one of. Any chance you know if it works for sim-painted paintings as well?
