Misty, do you have that house available for download somewhere? It is lovely.

Question: Is it possible to recolor the lot debugger?
78  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: House Layout? on: 2006 May 24, 14:02:33
Check out the floor plans of real houses, I get a lot of ideas from those.

Seconded. Somewhere on MTS2 someone even worked out a ratio of number of feet on the real house plan to number of floor squares in the game--works wonders for scaling a house plan down to Sims size.

What I generally do is look through house plan sites, find a floor plan I particularly like, and then modify it so it's more realistic for Sims...take out laundry rooms and walk-in closets, add in more bathrooms, etc. I just rebuilt my Legacy family's house that way, and I'm really pleased with the results. Especially since I'm incapable of coming up with house layouts on my own.

I don't suppose you have a link to that thread, do you? Or, barring that, I don't suppose you have the information from that thread handy where you could re-post it here or send it in a PM...

Easier solution: Use the FFS lot debugger to re-enable the options.
Aren't you kicked into Buy Mode when the last sim on a lot dies, making that solution impossible?

Good point.

Quick question: What information does groups.cache contain, and what do you lose by deleting it?

I want both! Bring on the tattooed chihuahuas!

However, my master bath now looks stupid with a roll of toilet paper mounted above the tub.

Someone should make an invisible recolor for the controller - then you can make it disappear when it has to be in odd places like that.

Thanks for the update. I got it from MTS2, and look forward to trying it out this Christmas (or sooner if I start feeling festive).

Yes, but they will leave the basket of food on the lot when they are done.
86  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Always the same Townies... on: 2006 May 23, 03:30:54
I just use Squinges shopnosaveitem mod so that the items don't actually end up in the inventory of the uncontrollable sim, nor does the money come out of their family treasury.
87  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Bathroom Controller: In Soviet Russia, Bathroom Uses You! on: 2006 May 22, 23:33:34
This is similar to the setup I use in my homes, although I don't use gender-specific doors in the homes.

I think Pescado means that only the currently selected sim can do yoga with macrotastics, but I could be wrong.

The whole thing.

Is there any way to override the 'kicking out' behavior when visiting sims try to take a bath/shower? I use Squinge's community lot sleeping and visitors can use tubs/showers hacks to enable the creation of a home business hotel/bed & breakfast, but BUY keeps kicking my guests out, making them leave when their hygiene goes red. I want to keep BUY in the bathroom so that my family sims can/will use it too. Seems to me that if BUY isn't set to block visitors from using the other facilities, it shouldn't block them from using tubs & showers either, right?
91  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Business Controller: Business Runs YOU! on: 2006 May 22, 16:11:26
I could implement QC-0 pay scaling, sort of like how Monique's whatzit tries to make everyone "fairly paid" (which, of course, I think is simply outrageous: How do you expect to run a profitable sweatshop like that?!?). Then employees will automatically be paid the minimum possible wage that they'll accept without quitting. Tongue

That would be perfect!

You can get 'em on ModTheSims2.com - Echo made the original set, then SimAddict99 (I think) made some additions for it. You can also get the original set from echo's site http://www.eternal-echo.net/sims/.
93  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Bathroom Controller: In Soviet Russia, Bathroom Uses You! on: 2006 May 22, 15:29:54
does the bathroom controller allow visitors to use showers/tubs? (for home businesses, for example)

Do you think you could at least get #4 on the to do list done? Then I at least wouldn't have to remember what I've installed...
97  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Crammyboye Archives / Re: Nudist hack v2.05 on: 2006 May 21, 08:14:40
I had always shied away from nudist hacks for the longest time, never even downloading one. But I decided to give this a try, and I love it. The situations that can occur with it are so hillarious sometimes.

One of my lots has two families living together, with 4 adults (two sets of parents), and 2 teens (one in each family). Well, one morning while everyone was getting ready to face their day (all but two of the sims were in the shower/tub), one of the moms decided that she didn't need to get dressed after her bath and proceeded to go eat breakfast and then go out front and do yoga (she was using the skillinator->body macro) in the buff! To make matters worse, because she was using the macro, all the people trying to tell her to get dressed were getting cancelled!  Cheesy So there she is, doing yoga in the buff in the middle of the street when the school bus arrives... I swear I nearly busted a gut laughing at that one. Don't you know those teens caught hell at school that day. LOL!

Thanks so much for this mod. I am so glad I decided to give it a try.

Does this work with the skillinator? I would love it if Sims would use this for skillinating if the TV, stereo, or other exercise options were unavailable...
