*rubs eyes* How do the want slots look wrong? Seems to me as if he wants to do a lullaby, gain 9 skill in something, be played/read with and grow up well. Normal toddler wants, especially if none of the toddler's parents were on the lot when their new wants rolled.
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Ugh Uni - creating your own. on: 2007 July 02, 14:24:48
Is there any way, short of uninstalling Uni, to get rid of the stupid want all teens have to go and fear of not?

I've got a teen that aged up in platinum to adult, still 3/4s full plat and crying that he missed Uni <gag> (Is that normal?)

Sims still get a negative red memory of not going to uni even if they don't have a fear of it at the time. Don't know what you can do about it, unfortunately. Sad
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Missing Adventurer career? on: 2007 May 31, 07:54:11
I was doing the asylum challenge, and my sane sim wanted the adventurer career. Took eight days, but luckily she finally got it. Unfortunately, she also got fired on a chance card on her first day. Cheesy Fortunately, her first day of work was the day she got the job, so the job was still in the paper for her to take up again. Tongue
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Awesomeland: Should Awesomeland Be Reloaded? on: 2007 May 20, 10:18:13
Explode! Cheesy

Makes me wonder if there'll be a Fingers in Ears! Lythdan in the new one...

Eep.
5  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Clock stopped when sim died. on: 2007 May 03, 07:48:15
I had a sim die from old age tonight, and right until the end, it seemed as everything was going like it was meant to. The sim was turned into a tombstone, the insurance popup popped up, and then when the Grim Reaper turned to leave, he didn't. At first, I thought my game had froze up, as none of the anims, even the fountains, were running. But then I realised I could pause, change the time speed (it just highlighted the different arrows in the UI, the time didn't move) and I could even go into buy and build mode, but the clock never started up again, and remained stuck at 7:12 PM. All the other sims on the lot were immobile too.

I had a sim die on the same lot a sim day before, and that progressed without a hitch. I ended up restarting my computer, because I couldn't quit through the ingame options because they were greyed out as they usually are during a grim reaper appearance.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it likely to occur again, or was it just a one time glitch?
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Anyone else want the juicer enabled for children? on: 2007 April 30, 09:06:55
I find it strange that simkids can trim trees, but can't trim shrubs, or use the juicer.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Deadly expensive hot tubs on: 2007 April 27, 13:37:15
Oddly, she didn't leave any insurance proceeds to her kids or hubby.

I thought that you only recieved insurance proceeds if your sim died of old age.
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Lot Fixer/"Batman Box" help... on: 2007 April 15, 12:38:28
Good on you, Ness. Let those echoes know who is boss. Wink
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Lot Fixer/"Batman Box" help... on: 2007 April 15, 12:10:39
Nah. Tongue It's obviously broken, we should just chuck it out.  Wink
10  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Testers Wanted - Realistic Sickness' on: 2007 April 13, 14:03:34
In the base sims 2 game, sims could recover on other lots, iirc. This caused a bug which made sims die when their lot was loaded.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Ford Mustang GT on: 2007 April 13, 11:04:10

Yay for Liss!!!  A Zombie?!  With pustulent oozing sores??  Now that would be kewl  Wink

Stop giving me ideas. Cheesy I don't really like having zombies in my game because they're immortal. So I guess sim flower will just have to stay dead. Sad At least she had a good life. She was permaplat when she died. And her husband was permaplat when he died, too, he got his 20 woohoos. Tongue

12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Ford Mustang GT on: 2007 April 13, 08:35:18
There was such a thing... she died.

Ah well, at least her daughter is still alive. Cheesy There's still every chance I could turn sim flower into a zombie. Wink
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Ford Mustang GT on: 2007 April 12, 14:11:22
There is such a thing as a sim Flowerchile...isn't there? I had one, but she died. Tongue
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Counting woohoo, not partners on: 2007 April 12, 14:09:18
Yes. One of my sims got three memories from a gypsy that he ended up marrying. One while she was still a NPC, the service sim memory, the second one after she moved in, the normal woohoo memory, and the third, the public woohoo memory. So yes, you do get a second private woohoo memory.

Or get someone else to put it on for you... Lips sealed
16  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Apr "More Awful Than You" CC Treasure Hunt: Whore Clothes on: 2007 April 11, 12:18:05
That clothes is classified as everyday wear, according to the link.
17  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Warning for Aussies buying Celebrations on: 2007 April 09, 00:54:43
But I guess I'm insufficiently Australian to make it not work.

I guess you never bothered to read properly. This is a problem with Australian games. We usually get the US versions, with the 12 hour clock, but they messed up with Celebrations and gave us the UK. Having two different EPs with different language versions has screwed something up, and the clock change fix is now not working as intended. If your game *usually* changes to UK 24 hours, that must mean that you always get UK version games so this problem would not affect you!
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Changing the day of a season on a lot? on: 2007 April 09, 00:23:44
I changed my seasons so autumn was first, and sims I moved in started on the first day of autumn.
19  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Warning for Aussies buying Celebrations on: 2007 April 09, 00:20:14
How do we know Hitch even had a problem in the first place? He sounds like all he did was use the fix on a normal install, and under normal circumstances, it would work.

I'm an Aussie, and I was considering getting Celebrations, but I probably won't now.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Making Sim Twins on: 2007 April 05, 22:16:52
I'm pretty sure the tokens are just handed out randomly.
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Making Sim Twins on: 2007 April 05, 14:30:59
I think Pescado is referring to the fact that there is no token that marks two sims as twins.

Madame Mim, however, is trying to clarify that there is a 'twins token', but it makes sims more likely to conceive twins, rather than stating that they *are* a twin.
22  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: No aspiration? on: 2007 April 05, 13:39:54
In my game, it's always been like this, as far as I can remember. It's not something to be concerned about, I don't think.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I want bigger breasts.... For my sims. Perv. on: 2007 April 04, 12:51:25
Flower's becoming an amazon? But I thought they only lopped off one breast...

There is no memory for being struck by lightning by Maxis design.
25  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Questions in prep for Death By Freewill Challenge on: 2007 March 29, 11:02:17

3) Electrocution while Repairing (Sims never autonomously repair)

I actually have had sims try to autonomously repair things once or twice before. One of the few times I ever came close to an accidental death was when I was busy with one sim upstairs, then heard this ZAP noise coming from the lower level, switched levels and came just in time to see the guy die. Luckily, his wife was able to succesfully plead with the Reaper. I haven't had a sim autonomously try to repair something since NL, however.
