1  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Sims4 is not gonna happen on here, is it? on: 2015 July 30, 01:54:41
As far as I can tell, TS2 was the real game.  3 gave us a living 'hood, which was almost worth something.  Admittedly you had to drop genetics, but you also got to drop the scheduler, rotating houses, and the notion that any time you accidentally deleted a family your hood would go BFBVFS (as much fun as that was).  I still think the graphics in 2 were better than the softened puddingy stuff in 3.  Nevertheless, the point I am slowly getting at is that every new version of the game has dumbed it down further and removed key features to replace them with shiny useless rubbish (like emotions - who uses emotions anyway?).
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Resort Trouble on: 2014 March 31, 02:15:31
This is remarkably realistic, if you think about it.  I understand that the hotel business is very hard to make a living at in the real world.  Sims have it very easy by comparison.
3  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: What needs to go where to make AM work on: 2013 November 27, 04:46:01
Honestly, if the AM updater was a GPS, these people would relinquish all responsibility to think for themselves and drive into a lake and drown.  Manually updating when necessary and ensuring that files are in the right spot is the better method.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Origin help? on: 2013 April 18, 14:47:46
Now that I know what Origin is, I haet it, anyway.  I personally haet all EA downloads on principle.
5  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Where is the thread with the pictures that show where to put the Awesomemod on: 2013 February 05, 17:08:40
Awesomemod does not "show up"?  What were you hoping to see?  Did you bother to configure it?

It's a mod.  It changes some code in the game to make it work (better).  It is not an object.  There are no fireworks or fluffy bunnies.  There may be destruction depending on your skills of configuration and following simple directions (or lack thereof).  I am not particularly optimistic at this point.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Installing an arr'ed EP on a legit copy on: 2013 February 05, 17:02:28
Arr it ALL.

You can still use the store and launcher...

...although why you'd want to use the launcher is anybody's guess.

7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 70s, 80s, & 90s stuff pack on: 2013 January 29, 14:38:05
And we were so looking forward to giving our puddings a mullet hairdo.  Mind you, put them in red leather jackets and you have Platinum Blonde.
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Game freezes when my sims tries to get mail, in Seasons on: 2013 January 07, 19:55:36
I suspect your mailbox is infected with omni plant gift boxes which need to be manually nuked.
9  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Do I have to put the download in all the expansion folders? on: 2012 December 20, 19:46:28
On the other hand, doing it seems to work, and does not seem to hurt.  In any case, that point is academic, since AM works in our games and not in the OP's game.  Therefore, the problem is with either a) the OP's installation of the game; or b) the OP's ability to follow directions on how to install files.

My money's on 'b'.

No, really?  What gave it away?

The old method, which Pescado still uses and obviously Jolrei does too, requires a .dll in each game/bin. I find this method works and have never seen the need to change. The new method uses the Microsoftian garbage pit known as 'My Documents'.

I hate "My Documents".
10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Do I have to put the download in all the expansion folders? on: 2012 December 20, 16:31:42
To the OP, there are parts of the framework that have to be loaded into each EP directory you have.

This was once true, but I don't believe it is any longer.

Standards are dropping everywhere.

To the OP, there are parts of the framework that have to be loaded into each EP directory you have.  There is a thread on this in the AM section with a "how to", in addition to the directions that are provided when you download the framework itself.  Read the directions again.  I do not have the problems you are describing in my game, so the problem is not with the framework.
12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Sim got reseted upon feeding fish whose tank on the floor on: 2012 December 20, 15:26:25
That said (and very well, too, jezzer.  That was great.), there do seem to be a myriad different actions that cause pudding resets since 1.42.  I have noticed them after "serenade", after eating a picnic in the park, collecting rocks/minerals, etc.  My puddings are now spending their lives doing things and resetting.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Update won't detect Game. on: 2012 December 20, 15:22:28
OP lost me after "an update that completely broke everything".  I also would not trust a 3rd party installer of a complete edition.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Save function not retaining game progress on: 2012 December 20, 15:17:52
Well, TS2 has so many fun ways to go "foom", a little paranoia is tantamount to common sense.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: WAR ON GRAMMAR HAS KILLED GRAMMAR DAY. on: 2012 December 20, 15:15:08
WHAT?  So no prizes and stuff this year?  I was looking forward to the awards show.  Standards are falling everywhere.
16  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Mailbox problems with AM installed on: 2012 December 09, 13:20:16
The "setconfig moveinventoryobjects true" approach seems to function as a workaround - at least they can get their mail if you simply view inventory on the mailbox and then "take all".  At that point you still have to remove all the omni plant boxes (every sim day when the mailman comes) and nuke them.  It's a bit of an omni plant apocalypse.
17  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Mailbox problems with AM installed on: 2012 December 04, 17:30:46
It does seem to be related to gardening, since the last patch.  I was wondering whether it was because I only have EPs up to Generations.  There is a jump bug reported (which my game has got as well) where the telescope stops working if you don't have Seasons.

Same issue with the "semi-freeze".  I nuked and replaced the mailbox, and I also have the "omni plant" immovable spam in inventory.  I'll try the setconfig step.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Alternatives for the Kitten Killer? on: 2012 November 28, 02:14:03
TS3 does not really need an auto-woohoo mod.  TS3 storymode takes care of the attraction, copulating, and reproducing angle of other houses while you control your sacred houses.  If you are, on the other hand, simply interested in just sitting around watching pixel people do it for your own entertainment, your complaint about no TS3 ACR has very little to do with the game, and you may wish to avail yourself of the wealth of pr0n on the internet.  It is said that often those pictures are more realistic than either TS2 or TS3.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stupid Question of the Day on: 2012 September 09, 20:10:09
What does the game call children in terms of modding? Are 12's considered teens only or are 12's also children as well?

As far as I know the game considers them children.

Much the same as MATY considers RayeNation.
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Woozelbury Mews on: 2012 July 09, 18:52:19
That's a townhouse is it?  IRL I own a townhouse, and I can tell you it is nowhere near as nice as this.  I haz a jellus.  On the other hand, no reason my sims shouldn't enjoy it.  They tend to have more money than braincells I do, anyway.
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 Patch 1.34 on: 2012 June 08, 16:38:56
Eww. Isn't Salad Cream like totally chavvy?

Salad Cream always sounds like something you put on salads with a skin condition.
22  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AM Noob - What am I doing wrong? on: 2012 February 16, 00:29:36
What? I can't hear you as I am typing on my potato.

Well, you're all right as long as you have your potato.
23  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: sims can't shower/take a bath/go to sleep/.. on: 2011 November 24, 18:45:00
Hello bos-somthing:  You have been selected for a crash course on "Using Search for N00bs - How not to get killed at MATY".  No registration or indeed any further posting is necessary or desirable.  Simply start using the search feature until you get really good at it (if that be possible).

Practice, as they say, makes perfect.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How can I "ungay" my sim? on: 2011 October 15, 02:46:26
Ah, the prayer clinic worked.  Must be a first.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sleepy jump bug on: 2011 August 22, 20:43:11
I continue to play (keeping always the good backup copy) but I cannot send them to travel because they come back with the same bug.

Use a previous backup.  Your "good backup copy" is likely not as good as you think it is if the problem continues to reproduce.  Continuing to do something that clearly does not work over and over is the defiinition of "idiot".
