551  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bizarre LTWs--as in they don't match the aspirations on: 2005 November 19, 09:01:40
LTWVariety generates LTWs depending on interests, not personality or zodiac signs. Try editing your sims interests, then hit "My LTW is Lame" on the college clock, or "Reroll Lame LTW" on the FFS Debugger.

Didn't someone once say this site was filled with Homestar references? Kinda like this one?
I guess you mean me... I've linked quite a few Homestar references here, and am responsible for this paragraph and a half on the HRWiki. I think I was the first one to be insulted in the news box on this site for that paragraph and a bit.
553  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: stupid NPC work clothes question... on: 2005 November 16, 20:41:58
Try the carpoolfix.

EDIT: Fix link.
554  TS2: Burnination / The War Room / Re: Factoids and Statistics on Skill Gaining on: 2005 November 16, 19:03:53
The new EDS appears to carry an unknown risk of alien abduction at maximum level.
According to the Prima guide, there is a slim chance that previously abducted sims will unexpectedly disappear for two hours when using the EDS. It also says the chances of alien abduction in the EDS increase as the number of normal abductions increases. Not the most accurate source, and no-one here has yet reported this happening to them...
555  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: College Rampage? More like Reset Rampage! on: 2005 November 14, 20:40:17
College Rampage?   Huh

(excuse my ignorance...)

there is a setting  on macrotastics that allows your sim to run around like a chicken with its head cut of  doing assignment after ,assignment ,assignment until you cancel the action

Is this a joke  Cheesy
No Smiley

then I must see pics of that, anybody have some?
No pics, but click on the link in my post above, and try it for yourself. Make sure you have the skillinator, bathroom uses you, autoyak, autosoc, and the sleep clock installed.
556  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: College Rampage? More like Reset Rampage! on: 2005 November 14, 17:01:28
I think this has to do with books being left out.  At least that's the best I could figure it was, especially since the log refers to "Get nearest free book."  It seems that having the sim clean or at least "put away all books" will allow them to go ahead with the Rampage.
it looks like researchers didnt put away their books like rainbow said  have your sim put away all books
THANK YOU! Yep, that fixed the  problem. Sorry for taking so long to reply. And if you haven't experienced the awesome fury of Macrostastics and College Rampage yet, click here!
557  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / College Rampage? More like Reset Rampage! on: 2005 November 13, 21:56:01
On some University lots, when I try to use College Rampage, the Sim immediately gets reset. I'm running TS2, Uni, and NL patched, but this problem was also oocuring when I just had NL and Uni installed. An error log is attached.

558  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hacks may be causing weird side-effects on: 2005 November 13, 00:24:54
1) I have InSimenator (UV) 2[1].1 (that's what the file name says anyway)
2)I don't have any other patches.

Call me crazy, but would UV indicate that this is a University version of the InSiminator?
I am currently also EPless, but have the InSiminator 1.6Sim which has been fine.
UV stands for Universal. It works with any version of TS2, but certain options are disabled without EPs installed.
559  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hi! on: 2005 November 10, 19:53:53
1. romancemod. It doesn't work at all with NL yet, so you'll need to use something else until then, but it really does fix how jealousy works.

2. Depends on the furious interaction. Being cheated on lasts longer than burglar, for example.
560  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hacks may be causing weird side-effects on: 2005 November 09, 19:19:34
I can see a few problems right away:

Remove ltwvariety from your game. Lifetime Wants are a Uni/NL feature, so that mod isn't necessary. I don't think the Skillinator works properly with no EPs, and you're missing some items required for it to run anyway. The sshack and the nogizmowants are more Uni fixes, so remove those. And make sure your phone hack is the oldest version available.

EDIT: noresurrectwants is another Uni hack. And you don't need to censor the crap in noeatcrap.
561  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Game generating crap NPCs, avoidable problem or precursor to a firey etc... on: 2005 November 09, 18:07:19
Does this fix do anything about those "call in sick" npcs that seem to be generated every goddamn time I have a sim call in sick to work?

I had one call in sick just as the carpool turned up, game lags away while it churns out another useless npc to take the call. I got over-excited about something and pressed the cancel button when prompted "do you want to phone in sick". Duh. Sim spins to change into work clothes, goes to run out to the carpool. No! Cancel action, return to phone, phone in sick, dammit. Chug-chug-chug. Game generates another npc to deal with the second call. Gah!
Wasn't that fixed in the phonehack?
562  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims that keep hiding? (NPCs?) on: 2005 November 09, 07:58:31
Try novanishindorms.
563  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sim wants to fall in love with her husband's alien son on: 2005 November 08, 22:17:41
I understand what you're saying.
In the Inseminator there's a relations adjuster that lets you set/clear flags for crush, love, married/joined, engaged, friends, best friends, and enemies. I've always thought it would be great if there was also an option to set a family flag.
If you've got the latest version, simply hit "Spawn.../Family Tree". I think it got split from the relationship adjuster a while back.

EDIT: Misunderstood question. The family tree only allows parent and child flags to be set, instead of the family flag. Whoops.
564  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Want to add some spunk into my game... on: 2005 November 07, 18:47:28
By the way, the mod for miscarriges is the InTeen. I used it once, read about all the conflicts it caused, deleted it, and was never tempted to download it again.

EDIT'd: I have quite a lot of hacks in my game, and from what I had read, the InTeen conflicted with about three of them. These were essential hacks for me to use, but I suppose they might have been fixed in a update...
565  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Friendly Sims missing from phone/dating list? on: 2005 November 06, 11:00:43
I just had a similar problem last night.  Two friends and all of a sudden one can't call the other because she's not on the phone list.  She was still in the relationships panel but not on the phone list.  I checked the one who couldn't be called and she was just fine.  I thought it was my phone hack mod, so I pulled it out.  Much to my dismay the phone is now driving me nuts!  They both have cell phones and land lines.  So if the problem is that the one is invisable, and my teleporting her over fixed the problem, does that mean I can put my phone hack back in?Huh  (Oh, it's TwoJeff's phone lines hack)

Thanks for your help in advance.
I wasn't aware TwoJeffs made a phone lines hack... Anyway, try the FFS Lot Debugger, and use the "Clear Offworld Loiterers" option.

Have you tried putting CAS in debugging mode to find them?
567  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: career clothing hack on: 2005 November 03, 17:20:30
The hack is the carpoolfix
Created by: J.M. Pescado
Obtainable: here
Works in NL: I think so. I haven't taken it out of my Downloads directory, and my game hasn't a sploded yet.

That would be funny. Maybe if a few of the comedy options from HomestarRunner.com PAY PLUS! were added (scroll through to the last page to see them).

569  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: anyone noticed this in CAS? on: 2005 November 02, 22:06:53
I actually ran the game in windowed mode and left it open while I was hunting for the face files.

How does one do this?
On the "Target" line of the desktop shortcut, simply add "-w -r800x600" (sans quotation marks). So, if you have NL, the "Target" line will look like this:
""C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Nightlife\TSBin\Sims2EP2.exe" -w -r800x600"
Replace 800x600 with whatever resoloution you'd like to run the game in.
570  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Missing J.M.'s hacks........... on: 2005 October 31, 17:21:20
Don't use payatbox if you have NL. If you get something like a restaurant coupon, then the animations for Macro.../Pay Bills and Get Mail constantly repeat without the Sim ever getting anything out of the mailbox.
571  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Romance sim wants to marry off 6 children? on: 2005 October 30, 10:09:14
Use the debugger to change LTWs.  Popularity sims seem to have quite a wide choice, as do Fortune sims.  Family are the worst!
No, if you've got NL, Pleasure (Have 50 Dream Dates, Have 100 First Dates (numbers are probably wrong)) and Grilled Cheese (Eat 200 Grilled Cheese Sandwiches) are the worst. Still, if you've got NL, it's easy to change aspiration.
572  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: buying clothes at home on: 2005 October 29, 23:46:39
The clothingtool itself works fine in NL, it's the clothingtools globals that are been updated. I'm not sure what needs updating, but I've taken the globals out in case of game exploding in a BFBVFS*.

574  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hey, you just got here? on: 2005 October 25, 23:19:46
I have an older hack called liugnostaylate I am not sure if I got it at MTS2  or where for sure but I got it when Sims 2 first came out it was one of the first hacks I put in my game I still use it and have had no problems with it. I have TS2 Uni and nightlife. All of my adult sims  will stay until I tell them good bye.The children will stay untill around nine o'clock when one of their parents will come and get them. Then a popup will come on and say It is past bedtime and they and the child  are leaveing.
That's a hack from livin-it-up.net. Unfortunatelly, the site disappeared a while back due to lack of funding. I think Inge has some of the stuff over at Simlogical if anyone else wants to try it out.
EDIT: Direct link to the hack.
575  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: "Object Error" when loading lots on: 2005 October 25, 21:03:43
I found the problem file in my game: TS2UAdultPsychologyCareer.package.
I'm not sure why it caused a conflict with the default Law Enforcement career, or why TS2UTeenPschologyCareer.package doesn't cause a conflict with the teen law enforcement career.

And yes, it might be SaraMK's hack. Maybe you should ask her about it.
