There is a way of doing a repair, but this is a borked piece of coding here, and the genuine repair option is further on in the choices, but I can't remember exactly how you get to it.

If the sim is hungry enough, they will eat it autonomously. Failing that, you can try skillinating, and if they need a little food, they will probably eat it before they start to skillinate - macrogarden is good for this too.

Well, that's all it does, detect conflicts, it doesn't detect out of date or redundant hacks. So, remove all your hacks, and see if it works then. If it does, you know it's a hack, so you put half back, if it works you take those out and put the other half back. If it works, you have something odd going on between each of the halves, so check them all for being up-to-date and not superseded by the patch.
On the other hand, if taking all your hacks out doesn't solve the problem, you know it's not a hack, so it must be a download, probably a fridge, so take out all custom fridges that haven't been updated for your latest ep. If that solves the problem, check back for updates from the creator, and if there aren't any, put them back one at a time until you find the one, two or whatever that cause the problem with leftovers. Then you just have to manage without them, I'm afraid. However, if you haven't got Around the Sims fridges, there are updates for Seasons for all her fridges, and the NL ones go with a lot of kitchens.

All you BV players could do with a list of downloaded houses that have been tested and work, or not, and where they work, or not. Every time one of you finds a house or comm lot that works without any of these problems, you could then just add it to the list!

I would think any hack related to food just might be causing this. Have you tried a)checking that you have all the latest updates, and b) none of the hacks you have have been made superfluous by the patch, and c) removing all your hacks to see if the problem persists?

Well, I found it, and if possible I'll check it out tonight after I've sorted my recycling for collection tomorrow. It's actually finished, various pics etc. all there in a folder, then I open it with Clean Installer and find it's picked up a load of custom content and recolours which unfortunately make the sims2pack pretty big, and I'd like to clean out the cc and make it smaller so it may be possible to e-mail it. If not, I have an Online Backup facility which I could upload it to, I think.
Had to upload the pic as a .zip file, as I don't have an online photo account.
If you have problems finding MicksMum's church, let me know and I'll PM her and ask her to let me know where to get it.

Thinking about it, it must be a Seasons building, as I seem to remember snow. But it's a nice country church such as you might find in England/New England, probably Scandinavia and Germany too.
I have an abandoned church I built for a family to live in. It's base game, so pretty basic, and I didn't finish it, but I could look it out it you like and just finish it off. I also have a completed non-conformist chapel in my Urban Jungle game, but unless I have it on a CD somewhere, I can't access it at present as I daren't start up my main PC.

You could in that case try replacing your objects.package files with clean copies and then making them read only, if you haven't already done so. Also try deleting the NeighborhoodManager.package in case that has become corrupt. The game will generate a new one.

Have you actually opened the hack folders and visually checked them? Also, checked with Clean Installer for duplicates? Something may have sneaked into the wrong folder, and thus be in your game twice.

I am so close to making little people out of pipe clearers and naming them after my sims. Now that the issue seems to be resolved, may I just say that this has been the rofl moment of my day so far? I used to make them when I was a kid. Once we made a theatre from an old orange box and had puppet shows with pipe-cleaner characters stuck onto lolly sticks. We were creative in those days.

That's also very limiting in design terms though. The later (and more complete) door and window sets mostly only have single doors, and it spoils the effect totally to install one of the doubles. And what about patio doors - you would normally use double doors for those, and patios are normally at the side or rear of a house,

I tend to think it's just as you say, JM, a matter of displaying the pet heads clearly (probably why it never dawned on me to think of it as platinum rather than just white). Maybe it shows the pet collars or markings (can't even think whether it does show the collars) or something like that to help identify similar pets more easily.
