Your way sounds like a right royal pain in the butt pes. I'll be sticking with Christianlov's last name changer thingy for that, I think. Nice & easy.

I would absolutely love to download yoru recolours, unfortunatley the file hoster is really good at hiding your file under a metric fuckton of spam. Can you give me a hint, please?

Actually, the helmet is there to protect you from the idiot on the mobile phone who mows you down instead of paying attention.

The helmets are a good idea. The rest of the cricketing gear? Feh!

So far i am loving this hack. It has added the level of realism I was looking for - increased chance of death, but recoverable - and both can happen with a sim taking care of their own needs, insofar as my gameplay has shown.

I have yet to have anyone come home sick from work though. So far all my raving about this hack has been from the perspective of vermin-induced plague.

This is almost necromancy, but I found a recolour for the cosmetic surgeon station on mts2.

It is lovely, absolutely lovely, to have my wallpapers load so damn easily. However, you & my Victorian sims have disagreed on the use of several wallpapers.

That said, this does work like a dream.

The version in the all hacks directory is the updated verison. I never linked to it in the thread though. Fixing that now. The DC version is also outdated. I'll fix that too.

I don't know if you updated this recently, but the director's cut version of welcome wagon was last updated in June last year.

Annann, you read my mind.

Let's start with floppyboo.  Would this be used to describe your boyfriend?  After all, a BOO is a boyfriend.  Does he see you naked and go all floppy?  Are you THAT unappealing?  You must advertise this?  Shame.

Wow, you're so pissed off by me that you can't even read straight. I am the champion!

You might find this site interesting. (mostly the makeup & hair, the clothes are shiny-stylke avoidable, I think)
386  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Please Help! on: 2007 April 17, 10:27:39
Carlynn, you're an arsemonkey. You obviously have all the answers, so why not go bother some other forum with your insipid whining?

Much love & kisses,

me.
387  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Empty dialog boxes on: 2007 April 17, 04:21:23
Well it's not perfect plants fucking up the dialogue boxes, since I just had the problem in a new hood without perfect plants installed. My money is on the patch breaking the garden club dialoge boxes.
388  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Don't wave at me? on: 2007 April 17, 04:13:14
I have plant sims constantly bitching that they're low on sun or water, but when I do somethign about it, they get distracted by omg shiny thing! & begin the cycle of bitching again.

Either plant sims are immune to that style of hack or they are more whiny than anything I have ever encountered in my life.
389  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Empty dialog boxes on: 2007 April 17, 04:07:54
well, the easy way to test if it's perfect plants doing the missing dialogue thing is to take it out.

Since I am also having the same problem & also have perfect plants, that is what I am doing.

I honestly thought it was the patch fucking things up, but this might be it.

And I have a total phobia of being a vapid moron. Cheesy

And then there's freaks like me, who throw out gorgeous skins because they've got a freaky annorexia boniness thing going on, who like the diversity & find the voluptuous maxis "fat" sim aesthetically pleasing. Well the chick anyway. The bloated froggy thing the guys have going on.... it's cute on some sims, but for the most part, you can keep it.
392  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Testers Wanted - Realistic Sickness on: 2007 April 15, 11:03:44
I've not found this conflicting with anything, but it does increase the chance of dying from illness to possible, which is exactly what I wanted. I'll test it out with a more controlled environment later, though. For now I've been setting the sims up & watching them fall apart, and doing that they have a realistic need to take care of themselves with this hack in - to prevent possible death from illness.
393  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Testers Wanted - Realistic Sickni on: 2007 April 14, 08:24:37
Sounds like a fun read. I'll have to track it down. The title alone is worthy of a look-see.
394  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Testers Wanted - Realistic Sickness' on: 2007 April 14, 08:12:39
I'm just wondering why the correct spelling of "Sicknesses" was changed to the singular with an apostrophe at the end instead?  This would imply the possessive of a sickness.  This is one of my pet peeves.  Argh!

When I went to school I was taught that the apostrophe after an s-ending word was an abbreviation to indicate a plural and more couth than writing "es" or,  *shudder*, "s". My aunt, the phonetician/linguistic specialist teacher actually drummed it into my head.

Now that you bring it up I think I understand where the "'s" as a pluralisation came from - stupid kids of my generation not bothering to learn their linguistics properly & then going on to teach their mistakes (or mistake's as they'd put it - idiots!) to the subsequent generations.

So yeah, I keep up with the Jones' but I don't keep up with the Joneses. And I never will.

*edited for typos of the stupid broken keyboard kind
395  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Servo and alien mods? on: 2007 April 13, 16:30:45
you know that weres age, right?

Anyway, it depends on how much wolfyboy likes your sim, not the other way around. but yeah, sounds like you've got it sorted. boa sorte!
396  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Testing - Realistic Sicknesses on: 2007 April 12, 17:42:08
At this stage I can confirm that, left to their own devices, a sim is able to die from disease using this mod. My male adult sim passed on after two days of being pretty much left to his own devices. The pregnant adult female plant sim and the adult male vampire he lived with both got sick at the same time & are both still ill.

I am a bit concerned about what appears to be an orphaned pregnancy as a result of this though.  I will continue playing this household out until birth should happen, then if it proves to be an orphaned pregnancy, i shall test the same lot over from fresh.

Don't mind me, there's just something freaky going on with plantsim pregnancies in my game.
397  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Servo and alien mods? on: 2007 April 12, 15:38:21
When the wolf comes. ignore it. it'll nibble when it wants attention. (it's a wolf interaction, not a pc-controlled one)
398  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pulled: Dizzy's Smart Serve 2g for OFB on: 2007 April 12, 15:31:44
poor you.
399  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So, what's the best way to sort through and cull one's downloads? on: 2007 April 12, 12:55:25
I just go through with notepad open & write down the product descriptions given in game (if you hover your mouse over they usually give you a name) and if the maker wasn't an arsemonkey, the file should be the same or at least similar. Then I go in & delete those.

After that, there's a couple of residual bits of evil so I delete them in-game & go looking for any empty folders after & delete those. Takes me a day or two, which is why I put it off until I load a new expansion pack.
