Indeed. Sometimes it's just not worth the stress.

I don't know if this cancelled out an error or what the hell, but I had a Sim who couldn't call services. I deleted the phone and put in a new one. Deleting objects is usually the first thing I do if i have a problem, because it's so simple. I move on from there. For my game, it works sometimes.

Thanks. That was the first thing I tried too, with no success. My guess is that it's related to the new phones, but I wouldn't actually know. I'm pretty sure I saw something like this over in the stupid box, but it can be hard to read through all that crap to find the actual information (she says despite the above examples of her own unique way of communicating).

In the end, I figured it wasn't worth the drama & moved the girls into a dorm. Now having lots of fun with Lilith & Don. Wink

I have no phone funkiness. I walk alone.

Does this mean you have no hacks in your game?  If this is the case, I'd say go with the suggestion to force an error on either the sim or on the phone, in case they are glitched somehow.

Or check your downloads with the Clean Installer to be sure you haven't picked up a hack without your knowledge.  Most commonly occurring when downloading lots.

It means I have no PHONE hacks (or funkiness) in my game.

Wow, I know I speak my own language here, but one would think that the ability to pick up upon key phrases would be universal in language comprehension  in any country.

That would be why I included the word "pets" in the title.

I have no phone funkiness. I walk alone.

I'm playing the Pleasant sisters at college at the moment & trying to get them to found a greek house. (playing the la fiesta uni neighbourhood) This is really weird. When Lilith calls to apply for charter, she just hangs up, but when Angela calls, she gets the service directory.

Any help, advice, mockery or empathy? Is this my personal incarnation of the brokeness of the expansion pack?

The stomping of feet returned for me with gls (and still remains with pets) - which may mean I have an out of date hack or it may mean that it's not working. Or it could just mean that I never downloaded the right file in the first place. *screams, gets in a huff, tries to shut off fiance's compy whilst he's playing WOW, does stompy foot thing & waves snottily.*

Well, it (the ofb version) appears to be working so far. Anything else?

I thought that was more challenging than starting with someone neutral, particularly since being in the red like that usually indicates total lack of friends. It did in my case, as I played with Lilith Pleasant. I got more of a sense of achievement dragging her up from rock bottom & having her achieve her life's goal than I ever did starting with a CAS legacy founder. You also forget that the person not only has a few friends (if they actually do!) but usually has a buttload of enemies. You guys play your easy games. I'll have my challenge & enjoy it, ta.

Another update. Okay, I did that thing you asked & tested it a bit. I took the mod out, got him to click on her for propose, then got 'stay the night' and 'engagement' as options. Then I whacked it back in, and did the same again & only got 'stay the night'. They both have engagement wants.

After careful consideration I think that I have achieved what I wanted so the mod is out. As far as she's concerned with or without the mod they're going steady & now either can do the engagement thing if they want.

If you decide to update this for Glamour Life (although I'd probably just say stuff it & wait for pets, personally) I'll be there with bells on. If not, I had my fun.

Ta anyway.

both sims have the go steady memory (both from teenagerhood & from when she asked him as an adult). I'm going to play him out & see how it goes. if it stuffs up it stuffs up - no dramas, I have everything all backed up anyway & it's only the maxis characters so it's nothing a fresh install won't fix.

They both have engagement wants for each other, so they're definitely reading each other as a romantic interest. The big deal here is that you've only got the two file options (well four if you include the 'no autonomy' versions) one that kinda works with Glamour Life and one that doesn't. I'm using the one that kinda does. Glamour Life shouldn't really have conflicts with stuff because it's only a stuff pack, but it does. Don't know why, it just does.

I was commenting because I wanted you to know about what it was doing with Glamour Life. I don't have insim or inteen - nor do I want them. I refuse to touch SimPe even though I have it as I have a tendancy to make things go splodey if I stuff around with things I don't know about. I leave the clever monkey stuff to the people who know how to do it & sit back, enjoy the fruits of their labour & give feedback if mine is original & may help.

Anyway, the "problem" doesn't bother me since the situation is an odd one. I won't likely be monkeying around like this with my other sims, I just felt like making this pair's life hell. It may have something to do with her being pregnant & asking him while he was a teen & the transition from teen to YA having it's normal effect of dumping the go steady status for him. So again, it doesn't bother me - it works with my play for the moment & I mentioned it since it was an odd situation that hadn't come up before in this thread.

Oh yeah, thanks for this mod regardless, it's sweet.

I'm having no luck finding this interaction between two who were a teen couple, now an adult/teen romance without any strings (which I was hoping to get back to the 'go steady' option)

I have woohoo teens & ask relationship status. I don't have a heck of a lot else.

I'm going to double check with a couple of hot & heavy adults, but at this early stage I'm going to have to say this mod doesn't work with Glamour Life. Sad

On second thoughs, it would probably help if I downloaded the right file. Retrying.

On retry: Works beautifully with Glamour Life, but make sure you download the nightlife version, not the uni version like I did first time. Tongue

Yet another additional note thingy: Have my test couple in an interesting situation - he's at uni, she's an adult at home & very pregnant. She sees herself as going steady with him, he sees himself as single but pretty head over heels with her anyways. Not too different from how it happens in real life. Just wondering if this is a known thingy or if it's a problem or whatnot. I'm enjoying this mod & having no conflicts with anything else I'm using.

Take one troubled Maxis teen from the neighbourhood of your choice and send them to college. Play them by the Legacy rules, with the following exceptions:

If you have to get their grades up to allow the move to college option, you may move them in with extended family members to facilitate this, or attempt to improve grades at home.

You should play them as estranged from their family. They may respond to contact by (maxis created) family members, but not initiate it. There's a reason they need the fresh start, after all!

You may not have anything in their backpack when they move to college except for the ReNuYu Porta-Chug. Any items or rewards obtained at uni are fair to bring back to the neighbourhood in the backpack, after all, they earned them.

After college, move them into an unoccupied lot costing between 15,800 & 20,000.

You may count adopted children in the family legacy if the heir is in a same-sex relationship. Alternatively, you may use hacks that allow homosexual procreation.(No need to force sims against their sexuality!)
