Just forgo the romantic interactions for a bit and concentrate on the friendly ones.  Move In will eventually pop up after several exchanges.  At least, this has always worked for me.  Doesn't make much sense, but there you have it.

Wait... Sex?  What  Huh

I thought babbies came from under cabbage leaves...

Wow...  Spooky...

Change your nick, n00b, one Booblebrox is enough around here.

Pull your skirt down, Solace, your n00b is showing.

The BAD.

Marshmallows are an abomination.  Have you made s'mores?  It's like burning tires.
206  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Broken Radio, anyone? on: 2009 June 26, 17:22:29
Bump!

OK, so I recently started having the silence problems.  No build/buy tunes, no stereo tunes.  Am I correctly understanding that this is due to stereos on lots of unplayed families?  I never realized that this would even be a big deal, but somehow it is.  The silence irks me.
So the fix is to delete stereos or place them in family inventories?  For the entire hood?

IIRC, the Launcher does not carry securom.  Securom does not seem to be a major them in the "Why you should hate the launcher" thread (although there are other reasons to hate it).  The launcher also seems to have managed to install Riverview without glitches in my game, which I gather is something of a surprise.  That said, I am not making a habit of using it and will be getting the multi-installer.  The real bother with TS3, in my view, is the Download Manager, which does sit in startup, constantly phones home, installs useless registry entries that fry your system performance, etc.

I can confirm that the EADM is a huge DNW.  I am convinced it was causing major issues (including crashes) until uninstalled, because I am <SURPRISE!> no longer having these issues.  You mentioned, jolrei, that you cleaned your registry of the remaining EADM filth.  What am I looking for?  I need targets for my deletion rampage of rage.

I used the launcher to install everything from The Store.  But will be using jfade's program from now on.

At least you found a point.  I was not so lucky.  I am still scratching my head like a cock-notched fucknut wondering what Simchicks are talking about and, perhaps more importantly, why.
209  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Important notice from the GRAMMAR POLICE. Plz read. This means you. on: 2009 May 29, 20:36:00

What does it say about me if I always write I in print, even when the rest of my writing is (mostly) in cursive?

It says that you are a cock-headed fucknut that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
210  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Important notice from the GRAMMAR POLICE. Plz read. This means you. on: 2009 May 29, 16:24:23
Oh i'm just distraught.. Really.

No, you are an idiot that serves as a wonderful example to all other newcomers.  Assimilate or suffer the indignation.  Third option, get your insipid ass out of our clubhouse and go cry to your mommy.  Perhaps she will appreciate your gallant struggle to dumb-down the internet through baseless argument.  She might even place you in the princess chair with your special "i can type any way i feel 'cause i are smart on the inside" hat and throw you a fucking party.

Go whore yourself somewhere else.  We do not buy your ilk.

ETA:
A canning!  Congrats SimplyStupid, a party indeed.

Then telling me how i don't get the way it works here even though more than once i had stated i understood. So if i took care to make it clear i understood, yet still got people repeating themselves that i didn't, just who has made the mistake there. Not me! Bottom line on the subject of this thread though, is that this site would still be good and non-n00bish even if people forgot the odd apostrophe or capital. The odd grammar drop isn't the same as people coming on going 'yo peepz, sims 3 iz da bomb (or not as the case may be) ^.^ w00t'. And it seems to be that people don't want THAT type on here?

If you understand, why are you continuing to post like an idiot without proper capitalization?  Do you think you are going to win the day with all your "i mean this, i mean that, by all means i understands?"  We repeat ourselves because you seem to need the repetition in order to learn.  Rather like a dog learning a new trick, you are.  Sadly, most dogs would have learned by now.  You are the unfortunate tard dog that insists on pissing the rug though it should know better.  You will be assessed and treated as such.  Enjoy your time here, SimplyStupid.
212  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Important notice from the GRAMMAR POLICE. Plz read. This means you. on: 2009 May 29, 13:26:29
Do you feel important enough to capitalize your "I(s)"?  I do.  See how easy that is?  Self-importance through better capitalization...screw your morals.  No one cares.

This is an intelligent forum of intelligent people who put a lot of hard work and effort on their own time, without being paid, in order to help you and possibly make your game better.  The least, the very least you can do is show a little thanks and respect by posting like you are not, in fact, an idiot.  Pretend if you must.

You seem to have the gist of it, n00b.  If you require further clarification, I suggest arr'ing it yourself.

Has anyone taken a good look at the TS3 intro they have out now for .99 US dollars?  I am just curious.  Saw it the other day and actually laughed out loud.

Yeah, what jolrei said.

219  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Something is Still Borked... on: 2009 April 20, 17:42:34
I thought of that, as well.  New motherboard means that not everything might be compatible.  Is your new mobo exactly the same as your old one?
If you added new memory...did you just plug a new stick in?  I have found with RAM, it is best to place in twos, both sticks being equal and exactly the same.
220  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Something is Still Borked... on: 2009 April 20, 17:18:02
Let's get real here.  There are several things wrong with the scenario here.  First, you are running TS2 on a laptop.  Even a laptop designed for gaming is going to have trouble with TS2 eventually, all the expansions, stuff packs and custom content.  Not to mention the suckyrom factor.  In all my years of gaming, I have never seen a game eat up resources like TS2.  Just minimize and open your task manager sometime.  Watch it blow everything up right before your very eyes.  Craptops do not take into account that you will most likely have this game running for HOURS.  Hours=heat=eventual meltdown of your computer.  But I know several members here run TS2 on laptops and will probably argue the point.
Second, you bought it from Dell.  Fine.  But then you have Dell service the thing (if I remember correctly).  Not fine.  Dell does not care about your computer or your needs (obviously, since they installed the wrong drivers).  Who knows if the BIOS settings are right with your new motherboard.  If you can not fix your computer yourself, I suggest finding a LOCAL tech that can.  I like mine pasty white with a spare-tire around their middle, who work out of their homes.  They need your business and will be competent.  I realize this voids all warranties, but it is entirely worth it if you want something that actually works the way you want it to.
Third, any time you add new memory (or reinstall a stick that was not seated properly), you need to make sure that your computer is using all the memory.  Just because it recognizes that you have it does not mean it is actually using it.  This can be done in the BIOS.

So now you have a new video card and a new motherboard.  You are expecting things to run exactly as they did?  Given the track record of the repair job, I would say you need to take it to a real nerd who can tweak your settings.  Other than that, I would recommend that you save for a desktop and leave your laptop for documents and interwebz.

These are just my opinions of course.

Fall of 2008?  Holy heffalumps.  Defrag already.  Expect it to take all day.
Are you sure your craptop is actually using your 2 gigs?  By that I mean, did you add the memory yourself, or did it ship with it?
A new motherboard is a new computer, keep that in mind.

And I could not find your thread either.
222  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Deleted a maxis mesh! How can I get it back without reinstall? on: 2009 April 20, 04:55:47
As if it were not bad enough that my team just dropped their second straight of the series, now some moron who plays with all male dolls claims to have deleted a maxis mesh.

*hits the smite button

Boom!  Male dolls go bye-bye in fiery ball of stupid.

I don't get why anyone would want to play TS2 while connected.  The thing dials the mothership!
