Or perhaps because people just tend to shiftclick and pick Give Cell Phone, ironically because braving the horrid lot load times to go to a community lot tended to make it not worth the hassle, something TS3 is supposed to eliminate (by making the entire GAME lag instead).
I have never played a game in my entire life that has taken so long to load. To the point where I never, ever change lots. Once I am in a particular lot, I stay there, until I am done playing the game. The load times killed me. I would wander off to do laundry, clean the toilet, run a marathon, and forget...sometimes coming back to a lot full of almost dead sims because no one wants to cook. So do I understand correctly that FOJ believes TS3 will be laggy through and through? I do not think I can handle any more sloooow. I am anxious to hear reports from all the sheeple who rush right out to buy. If the game play is slow, I'll skip it.

Sorry to raise the dead here...ok...I'm not sorry, but feel obligated to apologize. I have EP's up to FT, and have long desired a bottle-only mini-fridge for nurseries on 2nd floors. That is all it needs to do...serve bottles, preferably autonomous-inspired (as in, nanny will procure bottles from the mini-fridge as opposed to walking the 5 miles down to the one in the "proper" kitchen). But even that feature is no big deal. Question is, which fridge do I need here? I R confuzzled with many options.

It's okay...I don't especially need a flattened lot. I am fine with a few lumps and bumps. I was just saying that anyone using the pre-flattened lot needs to know that their house will not work in everyone's game. No biggie...and no need to apologize.

Yes, Gadwin is the shiznizzle. 2 Cover-Up Road, by far the oddest house I've ever remodeled. 2 bed, nursery, 2 bath, largely unfurnished/decorated to allow for the addition of skilling/hobby items and personal decor. Price 110,210. All EP's up to FT, FFS and GLS packs. I've got a question. When adding to the existing house, is it then okay to delete the external walls? Sometimes I only extend a block. I would hate to have some silly one-block wide hallway of sorts because I can not delete what used to be the external walls. Short answer? Nope. Even if you're making the house bigger by extending it, the original external walls need to remain in place. Otherwise, we'd have all just extended past that screwy, narrow entrance a couple months ago and then deleted the entrance's walls. The fact that the narrow little 'T' was all originally exterior forced us to keep those walls and incorporate them into the house's new design. Well dammit, I am a cheater, then. Not by much though. Mini-cheater. I will incorporate new non-cheating ways into this month's house.

Late to the party I am, but this was done before the deadline. I am just late posting it. You can tell where I started to get bored, but at least I remembered the stairs this time. 105 Sim Lane: 1 bedroom, 1 nursery, 2 bath...103,638 price tag. I have EP's up to FT, FFS and GLS packs. Also, I completed last month's house in time only to have this computer blossom with viruses. I have since fixed these and feel comfortable sharing September's house. Should I post the house, even though it is technically past the deadline?

Crucial.com will scan your computer and tell you exactly what kind of memory is compatible with your motherboard. Other than that, follow the advice of installing your RAM in pairs that match and do not install more than your system will recognize and utilize. Never mismatch your memory. If you replace one stick, replace the other. Remember the rule of two. Way oversimplifying, I know, but it works.

I googled because I am bored. Stop: 0x0000008E errors are most likely RAM-related. If you were receiving umptimillion errors while doing a memory check...then...yeah. But go ahead and google for yourself, there are many hits, and many different causes/solutions; research to find which best suits your situation. Oh, and I would definitely heed witch's advice.

I figured the poster knew the command as she previously stated 'boolprop' didn't work.
I should start misunderestimating people.
Yes, but then the confusion, so I thought I would spell it all out for the Mrs. simply because I was having a difficult time believing that she had tried "boolprop" but not found any options that could help. My only other thoughts were that maybe she looked at the multitude of options and panicked, without so much as looking for the "force error" option. If that is the case, a walkthrough is necessary just to reassure the OP of the fact that she is definitely on the right track.

CTRL Shift C
then type: "boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true" without the quotes, but including the spaces where indicated. Shift-click (pressing the "shift" key while clicking your left mouse button) on either the car or your sim (or both, if necessary, just not at the same time, duh) and choose the option "force error" then choose "reset"...if that does not work, "delete" will (do not worry, your sim will not go "poof" and vanish).

So you enabled the testing cheats, yes? But did you then force an error on the car or your sim (if you can shift-click on her)?
You could always exit without saving.

Jim, that is awesome. Great job on the exterior decor...walls and landscaping. Nice use of purple without being IN YOUR FACE PURPLE.
I love the flow of the house. Small exception would be the red, blue and orange spawn room. I would have tied in the purple again...but I love purple, so that's just me.
Very nicely done! I can't wait to tackle this one when I have the time. I have some good ideas, but wonder if someone will beat me to them.
Excellent choice of house for this month's EAxis Crap Makeover.

Sounds more like a graphics issue... SecuROM treats my drive as though it does not exist when starting my game. Or I get the insert original disc message. Simply put, I have to jump through hoops to start my game. This has only applied to TS2. I have never had any other problems with other games.

I have been watching this thread with interest, as Zone Alarm had decided that the interwebz=teh evil after the latest windoze (XP)update. The update crept in while I was at work, next thing I know...had to turn the firewall down to cruise the internet. I am happy to say that the latest ZA update does work...and my firewall is back in action where it should be. I have used spyware doctor in the past for adware/spyware. I turn it on every few weeks to check the old bitch (pc). I use the free version, though I have paid for it before. The free one works just as well, since I am not running it all the time (it is a resource HOG). I figure why pay?

You build like I play, if that makes sense. I love logical, orderly homes without a lot of hooplah to get in the way of my views. I am sooo grabbing this. I am assuming no custom content (like walls or floors).
