THANKS THIS IS GREAT

afhairmediumcenterpart.zip

Does this hair look familiar? Have you seen this hair in your Adult/YA mirror and CAS bins? I bet you haven't. That's because it's broken and only appears in the child/teen/elder bins, and can be retained, but not chosen, in Adult/YA. Now fixed.

I'm not making a habit of looking for it, but the issue was too glaring to ignore when I noticed I couldn't change the hair on my sim back. Which naturally started a witch hunt.

Well, I shall try it out, but which hair exactly is it?

Oh, and there's another one that really annoys me - one of the NL ones with the earphones........

Thanks, I know which one to look out for now - not that I use it a lot, but it's nice to know it's fixed!

Well, unless there's another style VERY like this one, I have this hair and always have had.  I know because I can't stand it, it's revolting.  In fact, most of the Maxis hairstyles are revolting.  Oh how I wish we could delete all the horrid Maxis hair and clothes and stuff.  Why should we have them inflicted on us when we don't want them?  Ghastly things.

Please excuse me, got a little carried away there.  Maxis hair and clothes and things do that to me.

I saw that the other day, I'd forgotten about it.  Only trouble is, it hides all of them and I only want to hide the revolting ones (which is most of them in the case of the clothes).  I have a feeling it wouldn't work in my game though, because I use Motoki's mod that enables adult clothes for elders and there's NO WAY I am going without that.  This other mod says it will conflict with things like that, so I doubt it would be any use because of that.  I just wish we could click on the ones we don't want and delete them, like we can custom content.  I suppose there's probably a way of doing it in SimPE, but I'm not au fait with that side of the program.  I can't even find the Maxis stuff in there!  Looks like I will just have to carry-on suffering it ...  Thanks for the suggestion, though.

There should be a way you could delete the recolours at least, even if you need the meshes for custom content based on them.  What is so annoying, though, is that there is some custom content which is purely and simply a recolour of a Maxis mesh, but because the creator of the recolour has put in a little thought and imagination, the result is often so good you have to look at it twice to be certain that it is a Maxis mesh!

There is another hairstyle like this but on one side it goes behind the ears...Thats probably the one your thinking of...I remember this hair was available to choose until OFB then it disappeared.

That one is still there, but it's hidden further back in the panel.

Hmm, I have this hairstyle available for adults both in Bodyshop and in CAS without the fix. Maybe it depends on the version of the game? I have a "European" version of the game (installed in UK English as the language). I also have all the EPs, but none of the "stuff packs".

I tend to think you're right, and since the hairstyle is from the base game, that might make sense, since there were other things US players said weren't right before the patch, which weren't happening in British players' games.  I can't remember now what they were, but I do remember various people reporting things which certainly my game did not suffer from.  It may be because our game was not on sale for a few weeks after the US version, so maybe that was rushed more than ours?
