my sim got stupid and my residential lot not working!

Ah, you didn't mention it was a downloaded lot/neighborhood. Is it possible the lot/hood requires an EP you don't have? Or if you have all the requirements, it's most likely the lot is borked to begin with, or it was made with an earlier EP and later EPs borked it.

hmm i have all the EP from uni to FT. is it possible that FT borked it? but it works fine in other lots...
anyone has FT installed played with SimVille neighborhood? (or the attached lot above..)

Hmm, have you tried loading the lot with debug mode on, and seeing if you get any errors popping up? There may be a glitched object on the lot.
Try this with a fresh version of lot, that you haven't played yet, then attach the resulting error log to a post here. To attach a file to a post here, click on Additional Options on the "post reply" screen. The option to attach a file to your post is in there.

One pedestrian portal is out of lot but should work otherwise but you had missed something important.
Without free will on, your sim could do nothing. So turn free will on and everything should be fine.Tested more carpool showed up fine also nothing wrong with the lot you uploaded.

thank you for pointing at that something! i missed that because i didn't even know how to turn on/off the free will (*blushes*) yes, you can point and make fun of me >_<
i searched the forum and found out how. i turned the free will on in that lot. now my sims are not static anymore. i wonder how it got turned off tho...i guess it comes with the lot?
the carpool not showing is in my other lot, not the one uploaded. i changed downloaded 1x1 community lot into residential, only putting a mailbox but the car pool doesn't show up. i guess missing carpool is because i need to download the portal? i'll try that one, thank you for all of you who helped me out, i really appreciate it *hugs*
i freaked out because i'm using non-awesome and not-updated hack..christian's cooktop. i'm afraid that it could borked my game, but my sim can't live without it *sigh*
