Has anyone tried the barber chair since installing pets? Mine isn't working properly, no sims standing in slack-faced trance while their buy bar fills up. They'll take a free makeover alright but nobody's buying.

Hmm, it used to be like that for me before the OFB patches (forget which one seemed to fix it for me). I bet they went and used old prepatch OFB code to roll over into OMGPETS!!111oneoneoneone

I'm having a problem with all community lot items except the cash registers. Today's the first time I sent a sim to a community lot. When she got there (restaurant), the host, servers, and cooks never showed up. I also tried sending the same sim to a hair salon and club...again, the salon worker wasn't there and neither was the dj or the bartender. Is anyone having these kind of problems?

Seems a bit obvious, but have you checked whether you still have a price set and a stylist assigned? Or, for the restaurant, a menu, price, host, and chef? I know the ticket machine got turned off at one of my home businesses when I installed Pets.

No, they aren't owned businesses. I don't have anything owned at the moment. I thought the game was just supposed to spawn the characters like in nightlife.

Okay. Tried the test fix, salon chair worked properly. Yay!
My guy owns multiple lots, so when he got home he tried check in with all businesses but one manager on another business could not be found. Since the call worked the previous "night", I'm wondering if the salon fix somehow affected it? I have the missing manager fix, 10-26-06, and the remotebusiness fix which I think is 10-09. It just infuriates me that Maxis would release this totally unplayable code. Especially after the whole fiasco that was the OFB release.
