Pregnant Sim goes to work

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Earlier today I was playing a lot I hadn't entered since before the latest OFB patch came out.  There is a pregnant Sim in that family, and on entering the lot I checked her stats with Shaklin's medicine cabinet and it said she had been pregnant for 45 hours.  Later that day, I was startled to see the "go to work" icon appear in her queue.  So I sent her to work just to see what would happen.  She changed into the standard career outfit (of course it didn't show the pregnant "bump") and went off to work.  When she came home from work that evening she "bumped" immediately on getting out of the car pool, and changed back into maternity clothes.  Shaklin's medicine cabinet showed she had been pregnant for 55 hours, which made sense to me.

What's going on here?  Did the patch reset the "pregnant" flag?  It seems to have caused no ill effects, but I've never seen this happen before and I was just wondering if this had happened to anybody else.

For what it's worth, the career is the Psychology career downloaded from MTS2.  I've used this career for a long time and never had any problems with it.

I have experienced occasional glitches with pregnancy showing in the regular game, so I don't know that it is necessarily related. I had one or two sims who didn't show the first bump, which sounds like what happened to your sim.

I have also had pregnant sims in maternity gear go to work (happens if they get the bump at the same time they are going to work).

A long time ago after installing OFB my Diva had her pregnancy, which had been at the 2 bump stage, get reset and had a flat stomach.  She got the bumps back over the course of a day, so never had time to run off to her party guest job.  She was already on maternity leave, but again got the message about staying home.  My memory is kind of fuzzy on this since it was so long ago, but I suppose it's normal.  Though I don't remember if any more pregnant sims have reverted to flat tummies after a reset.

My pregnant sims always reset when installing patches and eps.  I had the same thing happen.  Go to work come home transition happens and they are put back on maternity leave.

I figured the patch was most likely the cause.  Thanks.

Oddly enough, I had about 10 pregnant Sims when I added the patch and not one of them experienced this.  I got all the usual reset rubbish, though.  I hate that.  Maybe they wouldn't reset if I took the EA Games folder out of My Documents before installing the patch?  I keep meaning to try that and never remember.

that one happened to me this week.  I assumed it was the timing being so close rather than the patch.

Sick of Bluewater?  Try Sedona or Meadow Lawns instead.  Meadow Lawns is a whole neighbourhood built to explore OFB.  Sedona is a sub'hood you can install as a permanent alternative to Bluewater - it's an "out of this world" experience!  www.moreawesomethanyou.com/cwykes
