1  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Mailbox problems with AM installed on: 2012 November 25, 20:58:57
once the omni seeds (that no one ordered) are in the sim's inventory, how do you destroy them? I can't click on them at all. I have to use the 'take all' button from the mail box to get them out.

If you Ctrl-Click (I think) there should be a 'Nuke' option on them.
I have the debuginteractions enabled, and I don't get any options when I click on the omni plants in my inventory. There's five of them there, now.

Yeah, I just noticed that thread. Running my stuff through it now. Still doesn't explain the auto pause.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 Pets- Whats borked thread on: 2011 November 05, 13:20:05
So far I've only noticed 3 weird issues.

Fridge animations aren't working. Sure, they get food out, but from a closed fridge. Only a slight annoyance.

Auto pause enables itself when I use speed 4 and the action completes.

And... sims don't ride their bikes. Oh, they ride their bikes, they just don't RIDE their bikes.

The only mod I have is awesome. And the only CC stuff I have is store crap. So who knows? Tongue

I don't think you really need to worry about this until they bring out the dental expansion pack.  Cheesy
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 October 16, 17:19:06
I am having a problem installing barnacle bay. I've read quite a bit on the forums and also used the search feature quite extensively before I even dared to ask about my problem on these forums.  Wink
I downloaded the barnacle bay file from the site, I decrapified the file, installed it and placed it in the downloads folder which I read above should work. It shows it being installed in the download manager but it is not in the game. My game also has the latest updates so there is no problem there. I followed the directions on how I am supposed to decrapify, and that seemed to go fine. I am not sure if I am still doing something wrong or it's just being how the sims typically gets and there is no discernible reason for it to not be working.

Try this:

1) Go to: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\InstalledWorlds
2) Cut the file: Barnacle Bay.world
3) Paste in: Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds

Run the game to see if Barnacle Bay shows up.

See I think that is my biggest problem. I can't get the barnacle bay.world file. Even though it is showing as installed on the launcher it isn't in the installed worlds folder.
Although I think your solution would fix the problem if i had the world file.

I'm having the same problem. I've also never been able to use riverview or any other downloaded world. ;P

6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Toddler Problems on: 2010 July 21, 18:29:04
I think a new OMGWTFBBQ for TS3 would solve all the toddler problems in one fell swoop.

The babbyQ kind of relied on code from the changing table, which is curiously absent from ts3. mmmm babby back ribs. :9
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Toddler Problems on: 2010 July 20, 13:34:22
Toddlers will often keep reading until they pass out from too much red. I've noticed this happening since WA.
8  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Ambitions and AwesomeMod. on: 2010 July 02, 13:45:44
I had the same problem. You need to put that dll in the right place. d3dx9_31.dll

Look for it in your WA or base game folders and copy it to the ambitions folder.

I really do love the smell of error in the morning.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Prima Guide for Ambitions on: 2010 June 09, 12:38:37
Why do people even bother with the Prima guides anymore? They're full of crap information. The darn things are printed long before the games are even finished, so of course there's going to be tons of stuff that's wrong with them. They're not even worth arring, let alone paying for! Especially since you can get most of the important information on the internets for FREE!

Besides, it's Sims. Why do you need a guide? o.O
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 1.2.7/2.7.7/3.3.11 TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 07, 14:36:40
The only thing I care about is the kids not being able to go to school. I wish there was a way to get homework other than going to school. I keep thinking of all of Inge's school hacks wistfully. Wink

Playing without Awesome is painful at this point, so I'll deal with the failure and pray the kid doesn't get repossessed.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Still planing with TS2 anyone ? on: 2010 June 07, 14:33:43
I play both of the games. I mostly play TS2 when I want to clown car, as TS2 handles it better. I really find myself missing certain aspects from TS3 while playing, though, like the open hood and the toddler books and the traits.

It seems that most of what people complain about with TS3 is how it's turned from a sandbox type game to a goal-oriented or quest game. Of course, you're not really forced to do any of those things, especially if you've already done it all once. I tend to have characters only complete the things that are fitting with their personalities. Like, I'm not gonna have a couch potato sim go be all athletic running all over the desert going through tombs. And the tee-totaling granny in my hood certainly won't be making or buying nectar during her trip to France!

I think that TS3 is better for story making, if you're into that sort of thing. I'd really love to combine the two games. I'd also like TS2 to not take 30 minutes to load when I want to play it. Tongue
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions Ghost Hunter - Missing spirit? on: 2010 June 05, 15:58:16
Also, if you're not able to see the spirits AT ALL, you probably have the outdated No Mosaic Hack installed.  There's an updated version at MTS now.
Oh good. I was wondering what was causing that!
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: No food spoiling for WA/AMB on: 2010 June 03, 17:41:56
Yoink!

Glad someone made this. It really was annoying, yadda yadda, what everyone else said. Wink

Baaa, and all that.

15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! (Manually creating .dbc archives) on: 2010 March 19, 18:08:45
Is there a file limit of how many files you SHOULD compress into a single one? I have a couple of folders that are HUNDREDS of packages and s3pe seems to choke on them somewhat.

16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! (Manually creating .dbc archives) on: 2010 March 16, 13:25:47
Anyone know if I can use this method to repackage Riverview to make it work again? Because I tried extracting the files from riverview and using them in the mods folder like all the other package files and it didn't show up. I don't really use the hood, since WA when it died the first time, but my BF has a lot of saves in this world, so I wanted to see if I could get it working for him.

17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2009 November 30, 01:54:39
I keep getting a CTD randomly while just playing. I can save just fine, but it seems like after a few minutes, the game crashes for no apparent reason, and I'm on XP. Tongue

My sims were just standing around talking to each other and wump! CTD. It's getting annoying. I thought maybe the new patch would help, but it hasn't.
18  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Macro Control: Macrotastics on: 2009 November 20, 19:56:11
Yeah, I noticed that too. I was hoping it was just an oversight. Oh well. At least I have BUY. ;p
19  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Macro Control: Macrotastics on: 2009 November 20, 14:54:40
This might be a dumb question, but does macros work with base game?

Heh. i've had a pantsless pedophile babysitter before. That was fun. The poor kid was in the red by the time Mom came home.
