1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Decrap store fix makes certain items who up twice in CAS and buy catalogue on: 2021 August 11, 04:41:46
I've been sorting content practically since the Sims 3 came out. I get random doubles and some misses altogether whenever I decide to start the .dbc files afresh. I don't know why it happens, but it nearly always does. You might want to find a tutorial, maybe Mod the Sims has one, to turn your .sims3pack files into .package files. I get less errors that way.
2  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Mod Storymode population question. on: 2021 August 10, 04:38:39
Zero just means it's not actively controlling your population.
3  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Mod Storymode population question. on: 2021 August 09, 05:57:50
I doubt there'd be just one spot, I find I get real lag by about 300. I get better results by leaving the population set at zero and just concern myself with my sims.

ETA: Of course it is related to what your computer can handle.
4  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Does AwesomeMod have a tagger in it? on: 2021 July 28, 05:03:53
I'm pretty sure it's linked to the singer/acrobat/magician careers. If you host, or are hosted by another player to do performances in game, it unlocks the rewards for doing so. More stuff for those careers. The rewards may be in buy/debug.

Weird, ae?

Nice to see you. Smiley

G'day mate!!!

GoblinCum, I'm struck by your 'over the top' response to the Sims 4. Have you no sympathy for the devs who had a mere month to turn the game from a mobile game to a computer game?

Talking about unplayable games have you ever tried "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream"? This is weird, I found the wiki and apparently the game was released on 1995 for PC, I suppose DOSBox qualifies for that category. Most confusing game I ever tried to play.

ETA: Damn, the game is no longer on GoG.

This looks useful. How does it work with CC?

I've been thinking about uploading some of my houses and commercial buildings to Mega as a backup. When I say 'mine', I mean stuff I have made, collected, and/or modified. I'll put a link up when I've done a few. A day or two from now probably.
10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod, Steam, and NRaas on: 2019 April 29, 02:51:46
I have not heard one way or the other about the Steam versions. I used the 3rd option and have found no problems.
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod, Steam, and NRaas on: 2019 April 28, 01:10:22
Have story progression turned ON in the game. Have story progression turned OFF in Awesomemod's config file. Insert NRAAS story progression mod wherever you keep other NRAAS mods.

Awesomemod only supports game version up to 1.67 AFAIK.

Awesomemod and NRAAS can be used together. I put AM on a higher level in the directory structure, don't know if that makes a difference.

Stuck with only Steam or Origin? Arrr, that's a pity.

Try tracking down Shimrod, or talk on the Mod The Sims forum and ask who might do this stuff.
https://reshade.me/ might have something.
Have a read of this: https://mega.nz/#!NhB1GawZ!h0uN26NoVFSrXAswWsjxNW9dm42oR0luWZwhqhWltnA  (Word doc)
13  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Making families static on: 2019 February 09, 03:51:51
Go back to where you downloaded AM and use the settings doc link. You can set all families, except the one in play, to act like sims 2 families.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No CC clothes? on: 2018 October 25, 00:09:56
Mod the Sims 2 - do they still have Sims 2 tutorials? If your CC has a corrupt file it may prevent all the clothes showing. Delphy made a file checker for sims 3, did he do one for sims 2? Checking for file clashes et al. Then there's the binary test. Try with half your stuff, if it works put it to one side and halve the remains and so on. Are you fully patched?

I RULE IT ALL!

And it IS flat.
16  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Sooo, Does Anyone Play This Game? on: 2018 October 19, 22:40:45
I'm not having any problems with TS3, my machine is about 6 years old now and the game itself can't use more than 4Gb of RAM. I can't leave CAST or the open hood, nope, nope, nope.

Kaspersky thinks it's all fine.
18  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Windows 10 and TS3 crashing on: 2018 May 30, 06:50:02
Sometimes I get a bout of crashing. I run the last patch before Origin in case some files have been corrupted and that seems to help. A reboot before starting the game will usually help too. I play TS3 on Win 7.

Hey Aussieone, did you see the new TS2 clothes? Some are really nice.

Did you decrap the *.sims3pack?
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2018 March 04, 12:03:17
Mine works fine, little ghosts and moons over the book, flash bang when the spell goes right.

Press the 'Thanks' button 13 times and don't thank again.

I'll check if I still have the Gothique library and test whether the effects work for me.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Interest in a Mars neighborhood? on: 2018 January 18, 02:18:35
I'm still playing TS3, I was doing LotRO for the first several years of TS3, so I still have a huge amount of game to explore. I'm loving playing with climates, daylight hours, and the ability to tune and change almost anything. I had a go at TS4 but it didn't do it for me, all the sims seemed the same. I like the open world in TS3. I do miss the genetics from TS2, and the ability of one sim to feel differently toward another, where one might be in love and the other might be in hate.

I'm currently playing with canals on a festival lot so the OP caught my eye.

"I'm going on and on and on".

Queen Baby, that comment was not addressed to you, you are not the centre of the universe.
25  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Should I turn Story Progression On in EA menu for AM progression to work? on: 2018 January 11, 00:12:08
Yes.
