Is there a mod that shows wall hangings while walls are down? I think there was one for Sims 2 but I can't seem to find one for Sims 3.

I have the Nov 18th version. I didn't see a later one yet. Would just rather turn off the entire feature rather than deal with it.

I request the ability to turn off sims bursting into flames during the summer, at least have service sims be immune. Those outdoor vendors keep dieing off and getting reassigned, then die off and rinse and repeat...

Also some of the bouncers and other service sims never get to their jobs because they are too busy burning for hours without putting themselves out...

Kinda funny visiting the dinner and seeing three service sims burning all jumping up and down while I go in eat my meal, then go home...

I would like an option to turn off the chance to be turned into a tragic clown by the LLAMA box.

Has anyone come across a mod that turns the bookcase hidden door into a real bookcase as well?

Isn't there a bookcase that matches the door in game?

Yes there is, but I was hoping for a bookcase that works both as door and bookcase. If it doesn't exist yet, I'm sure one will be made eventually.

If my sim has martial arts, I should be able to karate chop zombies! Or atleast kick them off of my lot by beating them up. Any chance of adding this functionality to defend again zombies?

So I've been playing this town for a few hours tonight. So far I love it. No routing problems so far or anything like that. There are just a few minor annoyances. Many of the homes do not have descriptions of how many bedrooms/baths they have. Also, I did not notice any 60x60 empty lots for the casino. You might want to move the junkyard as well. It just feels wrong being next to the grocery. Probably belongs closer to the trailer homes. Just minor stuff, but thought you'd like the feedback.

If AwesomeStoryPopCap is enabled and you get a neighbor preggers, will that sim have a baby or will the AwesomeStoryPopCap prevent the birth?

Are people still interested in this neighborhood?

I tried it, and so far every time I've tried to to use it, over time the neighborhood becomes corrupt. My latest attempt had the following error log after about 5 hours of play.

11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Neverending Pause on: 2010 November 13, 08:06:16
I've been using it since Ambitions and yeah I've got the updated one so my base game, EPS and SPs are all up-to-date. Anyway the NEP seems to only happens in Bridgeport. The route paths seems pretty broken, I even lost a maid after 2 sim weeks and I cannot hire another one nor cancel the service.
Thank you for the link. I did not even know that program existed. I was not fully patched, and I thought I was. Thanks for the help guys.

Anyone know of a mod that gives more lot size options under the world editor? I wanted to put some lots from LN into the other neighborhoods like the already made dive bar and some of the penthouses, but they are all odd sizes that don't fit properly on what is available. For example Eugi's Local Watering Hole is 40x44... Just look for more options for lot sizes to place.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Neverending Pause on: 2010 November 08, 08:43:40
Well the neverending pause is back. So far the only thing I've been able to do is take AM out, play past the point of the pause, save, put AM back in, and it will let me play for a few hours before I have to do it again. I'm almost to the point of giving up on AM and it is the only mod I'm using now.
14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Testversion on: 2010 October 29, 18:10:59
As we are all Awesome addicts and we cannot obviously go a day without it, it would certainly save a lot of unwanted threads if there was a link to the testing version in the main AM release sticky. http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/ts3/test/

For those that really need their fix...
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Neverending Pause on: 2010 July 18, 21:46:16
I don't know if others found a solution, but for me I was having the never ending pause constantly. It was driving me up the wall. I did a clean install over again, and the game still did it. I followed the instructions from http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,17746.0.html regarding merging package files. I went from around 1500 package files to a little over 200 package files. I extracted all the store stuff into combined package files, which greatly reduced my numbers. It has been over a week now, and I haven't had any never ending pauses in the game. I don't know if this will help the rest of you, but it made the difference for me. I hope this helps you guys too.

I've been looking for more Ambitions style tattoos to download but I've only come across those ones on ModTheSims. WCIF more Ambitions style tattoos?
17  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: How To Get AwesomeMOD work with High-End Loft on: 2010 February 04, 09:42:04
I can understand why some sheeple might be confused with the instructions... I understand sympathy and empathy is hard to come by here but this is what I see.

1.  Copy the framework files into both the base game and the expansion directories.  The paths should be something like C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/World Adventures.   Leave the empty files in both locations.

I just wanted to note, I only have it the resource.cfg in the base game folder and the game sees all my mods including awesome mod. I only have the mod/packages folders in the base game, no issues. Empty files... I'm assuming he is referring to empty folders, not some junk empty files.

2.  Copy the d3dx9_31.dll file into the Game>Bin folder of both the above directories.  Leave those files in both.

This step is handled in step one by copying framework files as instructed and becomes redundant. Restating a step that is already accomplished confuses sheep. By the way, I have the d3dx9_31.dll in the WA Game>Bin folder only, game launches. Without it in that location the game hangs up.

3.  Download a new copy of AwesomeMod, unzip it and copy the AwesomeMod file first into The Sims 3 directory.

Sheep will put this in the Sims 3 directory, not the mods>packages directory because they are following instructions as stated...

4.  Copy the Resource.cfg file and paste the copy into The Sims 3 directory, but not into Mods>Packages.

Again this step is redundant. If step 1 was followed to the letter, this is already done and confuses sheep.

5.  Try the game to see if it works.  You can tell if AwesomeMod is being recognized by typing Ctrl-Shift-C to bring up the command console and then typing "showconfig".  If it is recognized you will see 4 pages of detail about how your personal copy of AwesomeMod is configured.

6.  If that does not work, then take AwesomeMod out of the The Sims 3/Mods/Packages file and paste it into the World Adventures/Mods/Packages folder.  Cut the Resource.cfg file from The Sims 3 directory and paste it into the World Adventures directory (but again, not in Mods>Packages).

If step 1 was followed as instructed, the resource.cfg file would be in both locations already so pasting it to the WA directory is redundant... again confuses sheep.

7.  Run the game again and repeat the other instructions in Step 5.

I hope this shows some insight why some people might have some problems with the instructions. It might be the original author of this post meant folders instead of files in the first step, that would make the other steps not redundant. However with a slight semantic problem like that, you confuse sheeple. Hard to write instructions for everyone, you know lowest common denominator and all that...

I should note, that I did not even know these instructions were here when I set up my game, and it works great.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BV and no CD? on: 2007 September 09, 17:20:28
I always use CD images instead of hacked exe files because then I don't have to worry about what version of the game I have because of patches. Every time you patch, you need to go grab a new exe file for the new version. The no-cd image I found HERE and yasu link provided there is what I used and run BV on with DT v4.1. I hate running games with the CD in the drive. All my games I buy I use no-cd images.
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BV and no CD? on: 2007 September 08, 22:32:41
Use Y.A.S.U v1.4.7080, that's what I'm using with BV
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Dual Core Processor for Sims? on: 2007 June 26, 18:45:04
Good idea. I got a new laptop with Vista on it, a dual core processor and a gig of ram. Should be enough right? Certainly enough for any other OS. But not Vista.

Vista = Suck.

My understanding is you want a minimum of 2 gigs for Vista, optimum ram is 4 gigs
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Family Funds on: 2007 May 26, 20:03:08
Okay I use the no 20k handout hack, and I was wondering how the game figures out who to take and give money from when you do the family funds cheat in the console line when the you have several families with the same last names?

I had a cheating hubby get caught and get kicked out of his home, he left with only 8k, I wanted to give him some more money and take away from the home he left so he could get one of those cheap downtown homes. But I couldn't figure out how to make the game pick one family over another when they had the same last names. Any ideas?
22  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Help With Homework on: 2007 May 03, 03:57:31
My sim kids have the wants to ask help for homework. I have them ask the parents to help and they get the help, they finish their homework. However, the want is not filled and there is no memory of being taught how to do homework.

Has anyone else had this problem recently? I have all the expansions and stuff packs, plus 300+ hacks. This is a recent development, not sure what is causing it. I just started playing the new neighborhood that came with Seasons. I don't think I have a hack that modifies asking for help with homework, I do have Inteen and alot of MATY hacks. Only homework mods i'm using is Monique's auto homework mod and dizzy's homework in bedroom. Any help would be appreciated.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Augmented Sims... on: 2007 March 12, 04:56:03
I don't like Warlokk's stuff, its too overboard. Duddly's mod was fairly tasteful, well done and easy to use, hence I was hoping someone could possibly update it with the new expansions.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Augmented Sims... on: 2007 March 09, 09:18:19
I know asking here was a shot in the dark.

Warlokk's stuff is too encumbersome (heh!).

You have to pick outfits to match the body type... pick the custom skintone to the size you want then match all the clothes blah blah blah... bloating my downloads folder to an annoying size. I don't want all that custom content.

Duddly's mod was easy, just changed all the base maxis meshes so even townies had the new shape. Any recolors of the maxis meshes automatically work with the new shape. That cut my downloading drastically since I limit myself not to download new meshes.

Since Duddly hasn't updated this for Glamour Life and now Seasons, I was hoping someone could pick up the slack... I know.. wishful thinking.

Thank you for all this! It is much appreciated. Will you be doing a Maxis Only Seasons Template?
