26  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Augmented Sims... on: 2007 March 07, 13:37:52
The creator has been unresponsive. MTS2 has removed the requests forums, so there is no place to ask. I know someone asked Warlokk to try but he declined saying it wasn't his thing.

I've been using

http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=54558

default replacements forever, but the author has not updated them in a long time. Anyone know of another set like this for default replacements? Any of you creative people out there can update these with the new stuff packs/expansions? Please? Pretty Please?

no sweat. I'll try this new version, I'll get back to you once I test it out for a while.

Quick fyi, I wasn't using the back to school flavor pack... but I was using the no adult teen and no age of consent modifications to inteenimater.

At the moment, I am using 2jeffs school bus mod without no frat. No occurences of the child coming home with the teen from school now.

Don't ask me to list all my hacks... I have over 200...

Out of curiosity, do you have the combined Bring Friends school bus dialog and No fraterniation that Syberspunk posted in the School Bus Bring Friends thread?

Because I noticed that I was having children "appearing" home more often than not when their teen siblings arrived home and while I'm not saying this mod caused it, removing it and replacing it with TJ's original mod solved the problem, I suspect the combined version doesn't play nice with something else I have in my hacks folder and maybe this is your problem.

I DO have that little modified mod...

I'll have to go back to the non modified version and see how it works.

THANK YOU!!!

Is this an inteen issue or a maxis issue? I don't use inteen, but I've had this happen before the patch came out. I looked at the list for what the patch fixes, but it doesn't say anything about this.

All I can tell you is to stop using the flavor packs. I read on the inteen website that it has to do with the flavor packs.

Hmmm  I'm loath to take out the flavor pack modifcations, because then I wouldn't use InTeen as I don't like Inteen without the changes of the flavor pack. I guess  I can take InTeen out, just not looking foward to having to deal with all my families reset, a small inconvenience (just like this problem).

To be honest I have no idea if this is an Inteen issue or not. I was just asking here if anyone also is currently suffering from this or if it is an isolated issue. As I said, it dosen't happen all the time, or even every other time. Only once in a while. I did notice that everytime it happened, Dustin had to go to work that same day, but as I said, not all the time.

Actually, there was a hotfix for this a couple months ago.  The current version incorporated that fix, so go grab a fresh copy.  Smiley

Hotfix for FFS? I did a fresh install friday, installed FFS saturday with the new patch downloaded from the Sims2 website, still the same issue.

I have all the hotfixs for Inteen for OFB.
You need to delete the version you have now and redownload the latest InTeen and flavor paks from the website.

I currently have version 1.4a of Inteen with hotfixes.

I did not know this was an issue prior to the latest patch. I have the FFS patched installed.

I was playing the Brokes.

I have inteen (OFB edition) as well as a few homework mods (homework in bedroom, sometimes homework... blah blah). I have all expansions and FFS and with the latest patch, as well as a plethura of awesome and non-awesome hacks.

What happens is, When Dustin gets home frome school Beau comes home at the same time. This doesn't happen every day, or every other day. It seems random. Sometimes Beau returns home at 3 pm like he is suppose to, but other days he comes home with Dustin at 1 pm (and I get a message that Beau has dropped a grade because he missed school).

Does this situation sound familiar to any of you? Any help or suggestions would be appreicated

Definitely will conflict, no way around it. Hireable YAs can definitely be done. In fact, I already have, I just have to test it to make sure no undesirable effects occur as a result of doing so.

I bow at your awesomness
41  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: No Lame Hires on: 2006 March 14, 22:15:49
any future update to allow YA to be hireable?
42  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Creating a new Downtown Area question on: 2006 March 09, 22:04:37
Thanks for all the info guys. My next plan...

So since if I want a count/countess and Mr Big/Diva to wander around I'll put everyone's gravestones into personal inventory (like the Goth's cemetary in the back yard I'll put in Morty's backpack) and then evict everyone into the sim bin. Then I'll shove all the homes/businesses back into the lot bin (I haven't had any sims start any businesses yet so I don't think that will cause any problems). Next I'll create a new downtown area using a map that has alot of roads.

Before doing anything I'll exit the game go into my documents blah blah blah and delete all the new character files that was generated with creating a new downtown. I have Doc Doofus's CAS Face replacements in, so I'll just let the downtownies and NPCs recreate themselves. Then plop all the homes and businesses on the new Downtown hood, then move everyone into new homes (not sure if i'll just rebuild everything or use the pre-existing homes again).

So my questions. Will manually deleting the new char files mess anything up? Does the notownieregen hack stop downtownies from regening? Is there anything else I should consider before I do this?
43  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Creating a new Downtown Area question on: 2006 March 08, 19:52:18
nah I deleteallcharacters before I crammed my lot bin just to be on the safe side
44  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Creating a new Downtown Area question on: 2006 March 08, 19:38:03
So basically you have to have A downtown section to utilize the Nightlife NPCs. That kinda sucks. I was hoping to have everything in 1 hood so when moving form res to comm lots the load times wouldn't be so bad. Oh well. Atleast I don't have to add Bluewater
45  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Creating a new Downtown Area question on: 2006 March 07, 23:55:55
So I took all the businesses from bluewater and downtown and put the house bin then restarted Pleasantview and placed all the homes and community lots in that neighborhood (it's packed!). I added a University, but I wasn't planning on adding Downtown or Bluewater because I didn't want the extra loading times. Now I know I don't have any downtownies so I wanted to know, if I add a blank custom downtown area, will it create downtownies for me and the nightlight npcs even though there will be no lots?

If yes, once those townies and NPCs are there, can I delete the downtown area and keep the new downtownies and NPCs?
