TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So...um...did my sim do a double major or something?
|

And is there a tutorial or something of the sort that will tell me how to edit the memories of my sims so I could get rid of the extra graduation memories?
Make a backup of your neighborhood. Open your hood in SimPE, select Neighborhood/Memory(NGBH) in Resource Tree window, and select Neighborhood/Memory in Resource List window. In Plugin View window, select the family in drop down box. Select the icon of Sim you want to modify and find and select the false memory in Memories panel, click remove and commit. Save the neighborhood. Don't forget to hunt down every member of family. (parents, grandparents, siblings, spouses, children, grandchildren, cousins...) Often false memories have already been spread to other Sims by gossip. Use FFS Lot Debugger to clear up gossips.

This is one of the long-standing Uni bug that EAxis never bothered to fix. In addition to their real Summa memory, Summa graduates get false Cum Laude memory the first time they move into the new house. The false memory spreads to every member of their family just like the real one, thus fulfilling parent's LTWs. Even if you remove false memories, the next time you move Summa graduates into the new house, they (and every member of their family) get spammed all over again. You need to get syberspunk's No Graduation Memory Spam Fix. It prevents further creation of false memory spam, but it doesn't delete existing ones. You need to open character files of every member of family in SimPE and remove them manually. Major pain in the posterior.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Please someone fix this irritating BV bug

Prior to BV, Sims couldn't get Maxed XX Skill memories by drinking eggplant juice at all, even when they were supposed to get one. Now they get bombarded by false memories every frigging time they drink eggplant juice.
Typical EAxian stupidity, trying to fix something and only breaking it MOAR.

The memories say two of these sims have just graduated college Cum Laude, when infact they both graduated like 30 sim days ago and Summa Cum Laude. (One of them is the seven want one in the pic and one of them in the normal six want blonde woman, also they still both have their original graduated from college memories in the correct places) syberspunk made No Graduation Memory Spam Fix. The double Cum Laude memory bug for Summa graduates has been around since Uni, and EAxis never got around to fix it.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Stupid H&M Cash Register
|
on: 2007 July 15, 16:58:43
|
The new cash register that came with H&M stuff pack has an annoying bug concerning OFB business. I always put two cash registers on the owned business lots. I assign a cashier to only one of them, leaving the other one unmanned for backup use. When checkout line becomes too long, I temporarily assign one of my playables to backup register. Now, when there are more than two cash registers on the lot, but only one of them manned, customers are supposed to go to the manned one automatically. Not with this new H&M cash register, however. Customers stupidly line up in front of unmanned register, dropping their stars like flies. Apparently EAxis did not take OFB business into account when they made the object, as cash registers are always manned by spawned NPCs in the base game. Any way to fix this stupidity, so that customers properly line up in front of manned register?

I have a buyable version of the date flowers. Prolly from TSR but I'm not sure if they are free or booty-licious. I have them in my game as well. They were from windkeeper and available in booty. Single RoseRose BouquetBetter for decoration purpose than the real reward flowers, as they come in various colors. (I'm sick of red roses.) I don't like cut flowers for gift in real life either. What a useless (and perishable) gift they make.

The second Seasons patch fixed this bug. Sims no longer reset after drinking orangeade, and they gain badge points correctly. However, a minor bug still remains. So far it only happened for gold cash register badge. It's not a big deal, as it doesn't affect gaining badge points. Sloppy, though.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: nobogartingswings doesn't work on Seasons preorder bonus swingset

I opened the hack with SimPE and found only one BHAV from Resource List. I right-clicked on it and extracted (without changing file name). Then I loaded the swingset onto SimPE, located BHAV with the same name as the one found in hack (Interaction - Swing TEST), right-clicked on it and selected "replace", chose the extracted .simpe file and saved.
Have I done something wrong? Is there an extra step I had missed? Or perhaps wrong BHAV to replace?

Have you tried The Pirate's Bay? (Don't bother with PROCYON CloneCD BTW, it got nuked on nforce.)
And what do you mean by .exe files? Game ISOs come usually in cd image format, like bin/cue or CloneCD.

Ah. As sites like this were mentioned here several times, I assumed that you got the bonus swingset. Anyhow, I'm reporting the results here in case anyone is interested. I did as you suggested (opened nobogartingswings hack with SimPE, extracted BHAV, opened the swingset with SimPE, and replaced BHAV), but the swingset package somehow got corrupted. Autonomy isn't stopped, and when a Sim tries to use the swingset autonomously, an object error occurs. [attachment deleted by admin]

TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Can't dispose thinking caps using asprechargetweak
|
on: 2007 May 26, 21:29:59
|
The dispose function of asprechargetweak was broken for a long time. Sims just do nothing when I direct them to dispose used thinking caps. (No error occurs on debug mode, though there is a slight "jump".) I didn't mind it much until Seasons. Now I'd like to get it back for extra source of compost. Any chance of update?

If you invite dormies to community gym, they will not use exercise machines. But if you go there alone and she just happens to be there, she'll run on the treadmill until she stinks. Be sure to put a lot of treadmills on the gym. It seems that treadmills are far attractive than any other equipment, sims are attracted to them like moths to the fire.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Reset after drinking orangeade
|
on: 2007 May 08, 14:26:47

My sims can't gain badge points from drinking orangeade due to resetting. After finishing a cup, they just "jump" without showing a badge icon on their heads. The bug was still there when I loaded without any hacks, making me suspect it's an EAxian bug.
This bug does not happen every single time drinking orangeade, sometimes they can earn badge points normally. But it happens often enough in all lots, not limited to one particular lot. I don't have any problem gaining skill points from eggplant juice.
I managed to get an error log and attached it. It says something about "Slot number out of range".

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Lag problem with locked doors and APO
|
on: 2007 May 02, 21:11:15

Thanks for the reply. The lag tends to be more noticeable in large lots. I locked my greenhouse and orchard with APO to keep gardeners off my plants while building gardening skill. When I spotted the gardener standing around outside the greenhouse causing lag, I tried that "Set Route Blocks" menu. The gardener said he finished for the day and left immediately.
My question is, do I need to use this "Set Route Blocks" function everytime someone attempts to pass locked doors?

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Lag problem with locked doors and APO
|
on: 2007 April 28, 16:56:58

Anyone noticed the lag when Sims are attempting to use objects in the locked rooms? This lag happens whenever Sims queue the action and drop it. Thanks to noroutefail Sims don't throw tantrums, but this lag is almost equally annoying. It does not matter whether the room is locked with default OFB door lock or APO. Sims just stand behind the locked door and try to use objects repeatedly, causing the lag over and over. I have tested with only Awesome hacks loaded, but the lag wouldn't go away.
Is there any way to remove this annoying lag?

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Had an affair with a Child Memory Bug
|
on: 2007 April 11, 12:09:58
|
Sometimes my Sims get a false "Had an affair with.." memory with a child Sim who lives in the same lot. (Even with their own offsprings, eww.) This bug came only after I installed Seasons. Apparently the new Seasons patch didn't fix it.
Has anyone else got this particular bug? I don't know what triggers it to happen. The first time I noticed, the child sim was stuck in Medicine career reward, so I removed him using moveobjects cheat. The next time I opened the lot, his father got a "Had an affair" memory with his own son. Usually I notice this bug happened only after I browsed Sims' memories and found it.

Hack works like a charm. I can't possibly thank you enough for your hack. This double graduation memory bug was driving me nuts ever since University came out.
In my game, this bug only happened to Summa Cum Laude graduates. They always get "Cum Laude" dupe memories when they move in to the new house. However they didn't get dupes when they move in to the blank lot. (Don't know about Magna Cum Laude/Cum Laude graduates) Graduates (without honors) never get dupes. I was so sick of SimPEing that I deliberately kept YAs' grades low.
