426  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Dumb Question about voices on: 2005 October 18, 14:10:32
Well, Leos have, as far as I know, a different voice type than most other sims, but for some reason this one hasn't got it.  He says Stuvay! a lot, and Stosso!, but I want him to say (forgive the spelling here) Abaladabijay!

Not to mention "bafangool"  Tongue
427  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Holiday Addon pack announced on: 2005 October 18, 14:05:51
If one sim day is equal to one human year, how long woould Christmas dinner last?  Tongue
428  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: overloaded neighborhood on: 2005 October 18, 13:54:29
1,208 and still running - what do you have to worry about?
429  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Don't hate me because I have to pee... on: 2005 October 17, 13:26:55
It has always happened here since I installed UNI some time ago.

It's not an irritation, I figured they didn't want those other sims stinking up the bathroom.  Tongue

"Hey! Mortimer! Turn on the fan when you're in there!"
430  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Not in front of the children! on: 2005 October 13, 12:44:26
Interesting. I've only seen this happen when there is a fire or a death. The que will get wiped out in the middle of a shower and they'll run like naked idiots to see what's happening.
431  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Both Patches are Available on: 2005 October 13, 12:34:45
I don't think the smart milk toddler bug is fixed though. Smiley I have a toddler who has only had one bottle of smart milk (since patching), the glow has long gone (ystersimday) and the IQ is still 300.

(jumping slightly off-topic)
How can you tell what the child's IQ is?
432  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: mods that do and don't work on: 2005 October 10, 01:21:08
This was originally under "buy drink for..." which was supposed to set the crush bit (like buying a drink for someone at a bar or club).  I've asked the design team and we are going to change it.

I was wondering why there was a 'buy coffee for' but not a 'buy a drink for'. Look forward to that, it makes more sense.
433  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: mods that do and don't work on: 2005 October 10, 01:17:35
Yeah, I wasn't expecting "what skills do you have?" to cause my Sim to develop a crush. I didn't bother with any of the other questions after that.

For me, it was throwing food at another person at the table.  Cheesy Oh yeah, I get a crush when that happens fo sho.
434  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Building Issue in NL on: 2005 October 08, 01:12:54
That's a normal function of the game (with and without NL).

Use the 'Stay-Things Shrub' over at Simlogical: http://www.simlogical.com/index.htm
435  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Baby unselectable, will not grow up :( on: 2005 October 06, 13:15:49
You could have used it as a decoration or something. Maybe place it on a coffee table next to a bowl of fruit?  Cheesy
436  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Subfolders on: 2005 October 03, 13:33:58
Interesting. I have everything in subfolders and have no problems.
437  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Black & White 2 on: 2005 September 29, 12:56:29
Impressive web page I thought but probably incredibly irritating to people with slow connections.

Dig the hand, it reminds me of Dungeon Keeper 2. Cheesy
438  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What do YOU do with your platinum people? on: 2005 September 27, 21:30:26
PermaPlat are excellent resources for the rest of the family....the SimVac!

Send all your other Sims off to work or school in platinum by cannibalizing granddad

HA! I never thought of that: An elderly zoo where the kids can suck aspiration from the old folks.  Tongue
439  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What do YOU do with your platinum people? on: 2005 September 27, 16:57:41
I kill them off  Cheesy

You could also make an old folks home and drop several of them in there to rot away.
440  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request: STOP SWOONING OVER ROMANCE SIMS!!! on: 2005 September 26, 13:08:00
Hey, if you can't get back into platinum aspiration after ending up with a Grilled Cheese Sim, you are in big trouble!  It helps that GC aspiration can make grilled cheese any time of day. Smiley

Or did you mean to *intentionally* turn the Romance Sims into Grilled Cheese Sims? Cheesy

Mmmmaybe.  Tongue
441  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request: STOP SWOONING OVER ROMANCE SIMS!!! on: 2005 September 26, 01:48:15
Of course, with Nightlife you can use the Senso-Orb to change their aspiration once they're playable, so that's no longer that much of an issue.  Before Nightlife, it was vital.

But only when their aspiration meter is green, OK?  Cheesy
442  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request: STOP SWOONING OVER ROMANCE SIMS!!! on: 2005 September 25, 18:33:00
Yeah, I have a few dog-ugly Romance sims and am sick of people swooning whenever they see them. I wouldn't mind if fellow Romances continued to swoon, since they are totally undiscerning by definition, but having loved-up Family sims lust after these grots is a little unrealistic for my taste.

If they're ugly, why did you make them romance sims? lol, sounds like that's your own doing to me.  Cheesy
443  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bubble blowers on: 2005 September 25, 18:30:01
When mine want time wasting items like bubble blowers and mp3 players I set them on fire.  Cheesy
444  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This new furious state on: 2005 September 25, 13:24:51
I want to see the flaming bag of poo left on the doorstep LOL
For that you need to have a horrible date. I got it once so far.

All I ever get is a stinky letter.
445  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This new furious state on: 2005 September 25, 13:24:15
I hate kids with max neat points all he does is clean all day.
Well I wish my kids where that way.

Can I get an AMEN? (OK, maybe not)

I created my kids in-game and let them see exactly how they act. The were slightly disturbed as these characatures of them made messes that drew flies and green stink. Tongue
446  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This new furious state on: 2005 September 25, 13:19:45
What I don't like is that if Alfred tries to flirt with Betty, and Betty rejects it but Betty's husband Charlie sees this, Charlie is furious at Betty.  That's just wrong.  So far I've only seen the old autonomous flirts, i.e. the Cow Mascot and the Professors, but people here have said they've seen Sims flirt on their own.
This makes no sense. It will definitely be investigated.

I can confirm this. I had to try it a few times before I realized what was really happening, but yes, he/she was furious with the wrong person.
447  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request: STOP SWOONING OVER ROMANCE SIMS!!! on: 2005 September 25, 13:17:10
Sims always swooned over romance sims, this is just a different kind of swooning.
Personally, I never get tired of watching sims go ga-ga when a romance sim walks in the room. It's like comic-relief.  Cheesy
448  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So what's been fixed in NL on: 2005 September 24, 01:03:46
Modular stairs are the ones you use on your front porch to connect to the ground.  They can also be used inside in place of the one-piece stairs, which I recommend highly.

Thanks Hook, yeah, I figured that one out. They complain about any stairs to be honest. S'pose I'll just live with it, it's minor, I'm not a whiner. Cheesy
449  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So what's been fixed in NL on: 2005 September 24, 00:58:15
Just use the modular stairs, and the no-route-fail patch Smiley

Tongue Heya Inge. Let me sound dumb for a moment if you don't mind. Which are modular?  Cheesy They do it even with the noroutefail hack.
450  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Don't Talk, EAT! grrrr on: 2005 September 23, 13:34:17
The bottom line is: eating is a social event.

It helps maintain our relationships in real life and in sim life. I appreciate the fact that they talk more, it helps maintain friendships and fulfils at least three needs when they eat: social, comfort and hunger while at the same time building new and existing relationships.
