somebody once explained that it's possible to have your pointer close to the Woohoo option so that it looks like you are clicking on woohoo but you are actually clicking on Try for Baby.
I guess you chould say that birth control does fail in the Sims for the same reason it fails in real life - human error.

I have noticed that the Grand Vampires in my game have odd LTW wants that don't fit with their aspiration (one wants to marr yoff 6 kids).
I wonder if that could be connected and if generating the NL NPCs somehow spreads that weirdness to all sims.

I used to be terrified of hacks. and "boolprop". But eventually my curiousity got me to MTS2 where I found Pescado's novelprogresbar hack and well that had been one of my biggest annoyances that you couldn't see how far they were along on their novel. So downloaded it and it worked great and didn't make my game explode./ So that more or less cured my terror of hacks.
As for the debug cheat I eventually found a tutorial and learned what NOT to do and then I used it a few times (got Lazlo Curious abdcuted, and a few other things) and now I am still cautious about it but I'm not paranoid about it.

It seems that when the problem crops up, it's because the infant has a low motive, either hunger, bladder or energy. If you feed the baby a bottle, then wait just a little bit 9 times out of 10 it'll have a messy diaper. Once the diaper's changed the age transition generally occurs smoothly. I figured that one out some time ago. It's bloooody annoying. Now that I have Merola's mirror I can use that to select the baby and check it's motives and figure out what's wrong so I can fix it.

I noticed this happening last night, I also noticed that my controlable sim had endless "go here" interactions being qued up. It stopped as soon as the other sim left the bathroom.
oh yes, and I dion't have either the noroutefail or manualnavigation hack in my game.

Ok so me being STUPID I fell asleep and left my sims game running. Long story short both sims died and then I was an IDIOT and sav ed over it. So what do I need to do in SimPE to put them back as if it never happened or as best as I can. One of them was pregnant.
Edit: ialready deleted their "I am dead" tokens, unchecked the "is ghost" box and deleted all memories that occured after I was last paying attention as best as I could tell lol. Just because I want to pretend this never happened.

ooooh great. My brother made some legacy families in my game and then deleted them but their useless character files are still clogging my game. And he also made a family to test a hacked object he downloaded (without my permission no less).
I'd love to be able to delete them but unfortunately, some of my sims still have memoriies of them, especailly the one legacy family that was around for a while.

I've been having a terrible time with my mean sims since NL, well they always had a knack for antagonizing people but how it just seems that much worse.
Especially a mean/neat sim that I have, she's very neat so she gets furious anytime she mops up a mess somebody else made, and she's mean so she stays furious for a while and is extremely prone to poking, shoving and slapping the person she is furious with. And of course she's always trying to clean up automonously, I have to stop her from mopping up somebody else's mess so she won't end up furious with them.
I like the furious state but it's a bit over the top at times. Sims fly off the handle at the smallest things.
