Have you thought about posting the CAW files just for us to have a look at, mess around with. There's a post on the S3 BBS to the effect of "not while there's a breath in my body" lol! I have one teeny-tiny issue with the world, there is one secret lot in particular that seems to draw my sims like bees to honey. It's a tad annoying when 15+ sims all want to be in the same...hmmm...4x7??? space. Maybe 5x8ish, in that range. Go home! You have a TV there!!!

I wish I was on the list. All the cool kids are. Everyone should write Thomass and ask to be put on the list. It's not fair to leave us off like that. It's discrimination I tell ya.
You're quite welcome to have my spot.

Babies, toddlers, and children now have new animations available: *opens door to pit of doom, and looks to see if there are any demons on ice-skates* EA giving away new animations?! Why do I feel not all is right with the world...? That list feels even longer than the last patch. I did find a DNW: Sims can no longer perform mean socials to children. I'm sure Pes will fix the fix though!

Well, I discovered what my issue was, I had removed the goddamn EAcrap from the library file, and had to replace it all.
Basically, to get the patch to install smoothly, you need EVERY original game file to be available to the patcher. Gah.

Look in your temp folder for a directory with an alfanumeric string (for me {E1F84AB6-D46A-43C7-A056-D3C7795DBB21}), and read the rtpatch.log file. It will tell you what file it crapped out on.
Well, I tried searching for this, as I get a "file not found" error; but, I can't seem to locate anything similar on my system. I'm running Vista(BLARGH!) if that's any help. I hate being nonawesome.

There are 3 toddler books for each Fun, Painting, Logic, and Writing. Unfortunately they all have names like "ToddlerBookWriting1" in the XML, but they are all available from the book store. Each category has a book valued at 50, 125, and 210.
Going by book titles as best I can, I assume: Writing: Blue Eggs With Pastrami, Frank I'm Not, Oh the Destinations You Will Travel to. Logic: Counting Cannot, Squares Are Not Triangles, Being Smart For Fun and Proffit Painting: Fingerpainting 101, Handprints of the Masters, Don't Stay Within the Lines Fun: the Jimmy Sprocket series, as they are the only childrens' books that don't get a progress bar when you read them.

There's a series of Harry Potter parodies, but I've never used them.
The Potteresque series appears to be non-functional, as there is no learning bar above a sim as they are read. Using the blocks table as a child will give 3 skillpoints in handyness when they age up.

This one: CanSupportPopulation: A test of whether a lot has at least one fridge and a number of beds >= population.
is obviously borked, as before Awesomemod I would consistantly have households where #sims was significantly greater than #beds, my fave being the lot that no matter how many times I would delete the extra sims, it would grow to 6 youngadult/adult/elder and 2 babies/toddlers, and yet still have only ONE single bed.

you can also install your downloads "on the fly", ie: as the game is running and use them immediately, at least as far as lots and sims. I was able to add another "world" by copying the sunsetvalley file to the downloaded worlds folder, but the name remained the same even though I changed the file name. did it work though? The world worked easily enough, it's just annoying how both versions have the same name and don't keep place order.

Crazetex: That was kind of the point, lol! I was trying to have a Sunset Valley "lite" world that was free of EA sims and the lots I didn't like rather than taking up one of my town slots. I don't want to have to continually delete the crap each time I add a new hood from the base world, AND I want four playable town slots. It actually worked having the two worlds, but them having the same name was a pita, as sometimes one would be first, and sometimes the other. I know it's just a few clicks extra, but I'm lazy, lol!

Oh, you meant fertilize plants with cheese and eggs, not grow cheese and egg plants. Okay.
Nope, grow them. My sim maxed out the garden skill, so I'm not sure exactly when the option appeared. You can also fertilize plants with other food ingredients, the hugher the quality of the fertilizer, the higher the quality of the plant.

I find it interesting to note that they call it a pre-final release due to the fact it dosen't contain Riverview. I'd assume that most people would download Riverview when they register; actually to me it looks like it is automatically downloaded at registry. It would be interesting to note if the download contained ONLY Riverview , or if it somehow also downloads the first "patch". Thus, the "final release" being the one you have after registration/patching is completed.
As for the no-censor pic, one method is to pause the game, and use moveobjects to move the sim from under the pixelation.
