I'm just fooling around with this now, and I wish the sunlight was coming from the front. Other that re-building the whole thing, does anyone know of a mod that will make the sun shine from a different direction?
Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is maybe using the lot adjuster to change what side of the lot the road is on, thus the direction of sunlight. |

I actually like this little shack. I usually only make two changes, I add a 1x2 space to the front of the home off the bath, and switch the direction of the back stairs. It's great for my po "I din't go t'kollege" sims.

kattenijin: The stone cottage look is great and not used very often. The landscaping is very nice and that grilling area in the back is super cute. There's a definite need for a hack to take care of the hedges and bushes. Well, this being MATY, I tend to assume we all live with the Director's Cut installed. Isn't "perfectplants" part of that? I loose track. Anyhow, I discovered that I used some SimsStore items, but didn't include them in the lot file, so you'll most likely be missing some plants and the wall fountain in the grilling area if you don't have them in your game. |

@katteninjin: Oooh, the english countryside is a nice theme. I like what you did with the front door, sort of hiding it to the side. The back porch with the grill is a nice touch. I have always wondered how you can make those slanted roofs. Gotta search for a tutorial on that!
If it's the wall slant on the front and left side, the tutorial is here: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=156028If you mean the angled roof over the area that had the original door, it's a game feature that comes with the Pets EP. It may be carried over in a later EP, but I don't know. |

Well, I went to purchase the rest of the missing furniture items, but when I went to buy points, I got an "error occured" message three times. Meanwhile, going to my card webpage, I have three charges. Guess I get to fight with EA in the morning about getting my $ back, as I don't want to spend the total amount I was charged. F-ers!
Typical EA.  Let us know what they say. WEll, went I went back to the card webpage, the charges were gone, yay! Still get the stupid error message. Waiting to see what kind of "help" the ahemcustomerahemserviceahem gives me. DO hope Disney buys them, but the "The Sims 3: High School Musical MMCMXVII" EP DO NOT WANT!!! lol! |

So, don't know if this is all sims or just this one, 'cause I've only played the one house hold so far:
The grandfather of the Aspir family is supposedly perma plat, tried using aspiration reward objects on him: thinking cap, energizer, re-nu orb, all shorted out and droped his needs into the red as if he was only green aspiration or below. So, game may not be reading sims as being perma plat.
This is in a vanilla game, no cc or hacks/mods.

The electrical items in castaway require a wind-generator object to be placed on the lot before they can be used. I think the premise in-game is that you were able to build this from items left behind at an old airbase. There is a rustic shower, rustic cradle, rustic change table, and a standard highchair, although all the finishes on the "modern" items are "worn". Actually, most of ALL the finishes are "worn" :lol:

I wouldn't worry about that. The trend should reverse itself in the next 10 years when girlymen fall out of favor in as people struggle to survive in the wasteland that will follow the collapse of modern society and people have to kill each other over what is left to survive.
Actually, it's about 13 more years before the colapse; which will occur at 12:00am on January 1st 2020. A masive power outage in the north east, caused by the minions of a doomsday cult who are eager to hasten in the "end times", sends a false signal to a series of missile launching silos. Presto, WW3; which lasts all of 30 minutes. |

Though this is so far before the release date that it must be a bootleg or something, frankly. It's not in stores yet, anywhere, back room or otherwise, at least in the U.S.
The Best Buy store across the hall from where I work in the mall has it on the shelves as of this morning. |
