176  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Lot Debugger Issues on: 2008 July 08, 02:10:04
Just a note to say I am using the DEST version of Insim fine with the lot debugger & am fully capable of upgrading all sims to uni if needed.
177  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: July on: 2008 July 07, 17:06:38
All I'm going to say about this is that I have unusual tastes in decor (as my poor husband found out to his horror last Thursday) and if I can't use the CC I need to use to do a good Roman house, well, it's going to be more than a little kitschy. I may well be the Gali of interior design.

I'll see how I go with it tomorrow, CC-free.
178  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: July on: 2008 July 07, 15:11:30
Damn. Without my Roman CC I won't try, because I can't outdo witch's efforts without it. Cheesy
179  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: July on: 2008 July 07, 14:09:08
Hang on a tick, is CC okay or not okay, because I'm having some mad roman thoughts & this place would look great with $900 marble paneling.
180  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The new version of Securom demonstrates just how borked it is (Mass Effect) on: 2008 June 15, 05:12:37
I just spoke to my hubby (who stupidly bought Mass Effect recently) about this. He got all snotty & said 'No, they said on the website(what you said above that they said) as of three days ago." I said "well as of three seconds ago, I have heard that this is not true" etc.

Anyway, long story short, he's done his three installs already & hasn't yet tried again, but he said that if he does get that error message he'll be calling the better business bureau & making a complaint against EA, because it is illegal under Australian law & American law to install a program on someone's computer without informing them first.

Fuck what I said about not pirating Apartment Life. I want it, I'd be willing to pay for it except that if EA is going to break the law when I'm doing the right thing by them... well all I can say about piracy is 'tough shit, stumpy, you brought it upon yourself.'

Yeah yeah Yeah I am not the best of spellers.....

Please try, Brittany.
182  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Taxi charges money on: 2008 June 13, 13:59:21
Well there are instructions in the readme on how to increase the amount of money it charges.
I just didn't want the default amount to be too high because it might too hard for new CAS Sims who are just starting out without any job. They might not even enough money to buy a toilet or shower yet, so they may ride the taxi to use the shower at a Gym lot.

I agree that there should be a greater motives drop for walking to a lot. Imaging walking or running 5 miles to get to a museum downtown.  You'll probably be out of energy and even a little stinky.

Yes, but if they're too broke for the cab home, either they're too broke to be going out in the first place, or they can hoof it there & back.

Call this another vote for the 50 buck cab fare.
183  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Leftovers jump. on: 2008 June 13, 06:30:20
Tried buying new fridges, no change. : \ And it's with both EAxis fridges and custom. New lots, old lots, whatever.
Also, there is no log generated that I can find. In EA > Logs there is no corresponding log for this error. And maybe it's not a jump. The animation drops, and the Sim ends up standing their, their arms by their side, and they've lost any queue they might have had.

As I said, it's most likely a custom fridge. Try removing custom fridges from the game & see if that fixes it.

Also, reading comprehension ftw.
184  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful than You! June: Stuff that you Do. Not. Want. on: 2008 June 12, 15:10:03
I never got any pop up ads from MTS. But then again I have an adblocker...

What do you have? I have cool furryfox plugins, and they still get past.

You want to get the noscript plugin for firefox. That kills it entirely. Oh the irony. If they didn't spam the shit out of me so much that i needed three separate firefox plugins to completely nuke them, I'd have donated a few aussie plastic moneys at them ages ago.
185  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Leftovers jump. on: 2008 June 10, 07:39:01
Okay, here's a stupid question. Have you got any custom content fridges that you've had since before seasons, that aren't updated for seasons or beyond?

If so, would that fridge be the one that's having the problem?
186  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Beancounters - not just shilling, actual question needing tech advices on: 2008 June 07, 07:16:10
When I was looking at doing mark2 of my webcomic, I was looking at these guys with all kinds of seriousness. This was a while ago, so I can't say for certain if they've gone downhill. I will strongly recommend you stay the hell away from webcomicsnation (formerly keenspace) as it's clunky as hell & quite crappy with the support & stuff. Make sure you read up on retaining your intellectual copyright - a lot of comic hosts like to say what's yours is now actually theirs.

I realise this is probably not precisely what you are looking for, but it is a nice, FREE, option coming with a recommendation from a former webcomicer.
187  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Freetime Patch is out on: 2008 June 06, 04:39:00
I reckon it's more likely that they'd get rid of someone who proved it to them.

190  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hair Mesh Fixes? on: 2008 May 30, 04:51:40
my days of hairdyeing are over (fuck you so much stupid allergies!) so now I have to resort to weaving odd things into my hair.

post a pic when it's dry, please? you never get the full impact of hair colouring while it's still wet.

You can't even buy maxis red & blonde in bottles. I should know - I've tried.

I know I'm going to regret this, but, why would you be trying to buy red or yellow hair dye that looks like a Maxis sim hair colour?

For the same reason I bought a blue dye - Uni Art Student with a bent for strange coloured hair.

Millie - carla niven is automatically disqualified because of insta-win in too many catagories.

Not quite what you're after, but this is what I use when I'm stumped.
196  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful than You! May: Clothing Meshes of the Damned on: 2008 May 26, 17:07:43
Well, yeah. I developed at eight. But putting boobies on child meshes for a game is just asking for them to be used in pixellated child porn. There was a blog that I saw once but can't seem to find the link to that used these and similar clothing items on children and also featured mods that allowed adult male & child sex, along with the pics in all their glory.

That's something I wish I could un-know. *squick* *shudder*
197  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful than You! May: Clothing Meshes of the Damned on: 2008 May 26, 07:47:54
I think you're attributing a comment by an avid fan of the items to the creator. Plus it fits a niche. This would really work for a Captain Shakespeare sim.
198  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful than You! May: Clothing Meshes of the Damned on: 2008 May 15, 11:31:02
Oooh ooh ooh, can I vote for the Rose outfit? I love how her legs and arms are eating the obviously deliciously tasty fabric. Nom!
199  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Moses' Burning Bush Bug on: 2008 May 11, 11:00:29
the only time I had the same problem, i put a stuck object remover on the spot where the tree was & that cleared it up. Of course, I was down one tree, but what the hell. Cheesy

It appears to be functional, yes.
