1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Making Playable Ghosts on: 2009 June 30, 18:29:45
What is it that makes the playable ghosts especially boring? Can't they do the same things as every other sim?

That's what makes them boring.  They're pretty much just see-through Sims, with no neat, ghostly quirks.  Fine as Sims, boring as ghosts.

Nah, they have the autonomous Scare action. I brought one back and he keeps scaring his daughter. Also his son-in-law keeps getting the want to see his ghost so free points. Not really that cool but it is something.

For some reason, instead of being married to his deceased wife they show up as engaged and there is no option to marry. I'm sad to hear that they don't die. They don't come back at the age they die they come back at the start of the age span. So my sim died at age 92 or what ever and came back at 70ish.

Thanks Marhis. Just a note though, you have to put the sims first and last name after resetsim it doesn't just reset the selected sim. I kept trying that until I realized that I was stupid.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Making Playable Ghosts on: 2009 June 23, 18:14:16
Ok, so when a Sim in the household dies, your relationship with it resets? So you need to build your relationship with your dead husband back up? Lame.

That wasn't the case for me. The son was just as good of friends with his dad as when he was alive.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Jump Bug on: 2009 June 22, 20:04:40
Well it's not quite the Sims 2 jump bug, but my sim is constantly jumping out straight up. No matter what he is doing he stops every few seconds and looks like he is holding a toddler. I would "reset" the sim like in Sims 2 but there doesn't seem to be an option for it even with Awesomemod. It started when his toddler daughter was having a birthday. I directed him to bring her to the cake but someone got there before him.

Here is a photo and video to show what is happening.

Are there any suggestions on what I should do?

How does one gain the ability to write a Childrens novel?
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Singing in the shower on: 2009 June 14, 05:03:17
You could just turn the Sims 3 sound off in the sound mixer on the control panel. This is an interesting bug though. I didn't even know the sims sang in the shower.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Technical problems with THE HORROR: downloading, installing, and running it on: 2009 June 03, 20:46:35
I have now installed the legal copy and it does seem to play smoother than the Reloaded version.  My video card is running a cooler temperatures consistently now.  However, I'm still having problems with the game randomly closing (no error message, it just disappears) and it's not due to overheating.  My CPU is consistently between 30-35 degrees while playing and the video card was at 66 and 71 degrees the two times it closed this morning.
I'm having the same problem. It doesn't seem to be getting too hot but I don't really know. I'm running 64 bit Win 7 is that could be anything. It happened with and without the launcher, I didn't really know what to try. Any help would be appreciated.

Are there any other hacks that do roughly what inteen does?? i'm looking specifically for the ability to have my teens work / get pregant and get married ... kinda vital for my neighbourhood.

Don't worry about it; they always do that. You can keep inTeen as long as you make sure it's updated and you don't complain about it here. Also, when you get AL you might have to remove it, 'cuz it hasn't been updated for it yet.

The best thing to do would be to remove your hacks (and all custom content) and to see if it still happens. If it doesn't, do a 50/50 shuffle with your hacks to find which one is the culprit. If you don't know what that is, search here for it. I think it's even a sticky. If it does still happen, then maybe someone here can help you.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Apartment Life: Obligatory Hate/Love Topic on: 2008 September 08, 20:51:41
Apartment roommates being absolutely uncontrollable, even with the InSimenator.  I cannot change their skintones with Christianlov's painting that way.  It is also unfair that they get to stay up all night watching TV until they are almost in three different needs failures, then Run Errands to get their needs filled.
You can if you use the control pets cheat, "boolProp ControlPets true"and "boolProp petActionCancel true"
One Don't Like is something missing from AL that was available before; the option to choose an hairstyle for each type of clothing (i.e., everyday, swimming, pj's, etc).  That option doesn't seem to be available with AL - at least I'm not seeing it.
I have it. I seems to be in the same place it has always been for me.
10  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Apartment Life Borkiness, or how i ended the world in 1 hour. on: 2008 September 06, 04:07:41
With that said I wanted to build an apartment and was out of room in the neighborhood so I went to move a lot to the lots bin. Upon clicking the move to bin button, it did remove the lot. Only one problem though, it removed it entirely from the game! It was not in the lots bin anywhere. I searched for a good 10 minutes going back and fourth mumbling "oh my god" and "how the hell do they miss that huge glaring bug?!" and then it all boiled down to "oh well".

Was the lot you moved an apartment lot? If it was, then it's in the "special" lot category like. It's the same one that (I assume) beach lots go into.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is there a way to change sims outfits? on: 2008 August 25, 00:48:34
You don't have a bad hack. You are just kind of ignorant of all of this. You need to either buy new clothes at a community lot or use the clothing tool by JMP.
12  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Get Some Native CS Clothings here. Updatet for Elder Clotings. on: 2008 July 16, 22:03:19
So, don't let your sims get fat or they will explode?
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Freetime Patch is out on: 2008 July 09, 06:13:50
It must have been some kind of quirk because it hasn't happened on any other lot. I'm going to have to go back to that lot to see if the walls cost there but false alarm people, sorry.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Freetime Patch is out on: 2008 July 06, 21:31:40
I'm getting a glitch with the new noCD? For some reason my walls all cost zero. It's probably some sort of hack conflict with the new patch, but it could be the noCD, so I thought I'd ask before doing the long 50/50 process.
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Freetime Patch is out on: 2008 July 05, 06:30:18

With inteen in though? Most of what I have found about it at inteen says that you must remove half of it. It shows up as a conflict, unless someone was just speculating that it wouldn't allow sneak out. Hell, inteen conflicts with itself to work.
I'm thinking it was Go Out not sneak out that the teens couldn't do. What happens, at least from what I remember, is when teens ask to go out the option to sneak out appears. I'll try removing one of the phone hack packages but I think I only have one.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Freetime Patch is out on: 2008 July 04, 05:22:01

Well, usually it is caused by certain Pes fixes when used with inteen. Petjobfixes for instance.
There's an inteen version that Jordi made on the inteen site. I run inteen and most of JM's hacks and with Jordi's hybrids the only problem I have is that my teens can't sneak out.
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request for alternative No-20K handout on: 2008 July 04, 05:10:57
I have to say; I like this idea.

If the lies and propaganda apartments comes out will the standard amount become zero for that version? Can it?
18  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: College Campus Child Woes on: 2008 April 20, 02:05:08
Move mom onto a lot. Use a summoner (Inge's teleporter bush/statue from Simlogical works great) to summon the child. Use summoner to move child in.
Or you could just download InTeen just before the last sim graduates. (You realize that InTeen dosn't actualy kill kittens right?) The kid will move out with them and then you can take out InTeen and sort it out from there. I don't know if the kid will leave with them if only one sim that isn't a parent moves out but you can try. What you should have done is used the abortion option with InTeen not insim.
19  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: maxis pixie cut on: 2007 January 07, 18:25:09
i've got a pic, but i don't know how to upload them. it mainly does it, now, from looking down on the sims head and in the pie menu...
You should get an account at PhotoBucket and upload through that.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: About camera on: 2007 January 04, 00:12:11
Exactly.  There is no way to prevent the photo from being sold, including hanging it on the wall.
The only thing I can think of is if your fiend has some kind of hack that would cause this. Has he/she tried playing in a vanilla game?
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: About camera on: 2007 January 02, 19:48:02
Post Pets, my friend can not prevent the photo from being sold.

You are going to have to give more information. Maybe it's just me but I have no idea what you are talking about. Do you mean it automatically sells after the sim takes it?
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: About camera on: 2007 January 01, 19:05:51
You pick up the picture with the hand tool in buy mode. Its small but you can still grab it. Move it to a wall and then you have it.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Screening maternitywear? on: 2006 December 30, 07:52:57
I think the only way to do that would be to have a pregnant sim try on the outfits before they're bought.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Blue water Skeleton flash effect after adopting a Dog on: 2006 December 30, 07:47:07
Ha! Wow, so you saw skeletal Jesuses? I honestly have no idea what this is from but, I say, don't let this discourage you from adopting dogs because it doesn't seem like that is the cause and I have adopted dogs with out any zombie Jesuses so not a glitch from not having the patch.

What else happened around that time? Did you use the hack conflict tool?
I'm thinking it seems like it might be some how be related to an outfit. I don't know why I'm thinking.

You should add pictures. I want to see the dead Jesuses.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: can i request a hack?? if so... on: 2006 December 24, 09:32:58
Of course he's not putting it on the kitten's nethers. There are much better nethers to put it on.
