Unfortunately the test files are in test for a reason =(. I couldn't be on 1.31 and use the test files as well. I was forced to reinstall Sims 3 and upgrade to 1.29.

But I guess redownload everything and make sure framework is installed correctly. If not then just reinstall and upgrade to 1.29 and wait until J. M. Pescado releases a base/stable version of 1.31.

;_;. I've just been playing on EA Story Progression but I want mah AwesomeMod Story Progression! Can't play with all the lag I get along with the instant crash seconds into the game no matter what I do when AwesomeMod Story is turned on =\.

I've noticed that every time I load my laggy/crashing game with AwesomeMod Story turned on the lag spikes happen at the same exact time then it's followed by a crash seconds later. I'm not sure if that gives you more insight on the issue or not =(.

I'll download a cleanup mod and reload my crashing game and have it try to unstuck and reset NPCs and Vehicles to see if that fixes my problem. I'll let you know what happens.

Thanks, J. M. Pescado

EDIT: I used the /fixall command inside AwesomeMod and it fixed my issue!! =D. The Laggy/choppyness went away and my game no longer crashes seconds in. Back to using AwesomeMod Story. Woohoo!

Thanks again, J. M. Pescado =)

I'll make sure to hold your hand through everything like a child if I ever have any other problems. Sad to see someone lack so much cognitive ability.

Have a nice day! ^_^

I'm sorry but what are you trying to get at? I'm really confused.

Are you saying that I'm too stupid to know that I have to manually extract the downloaded files from AwesomeMod Auto Updater?

Did my previous posts not already confirm that I got them installed?

Must I say every step I went through in installing AwesomeMod for you to understand my situation? If I must then you should get off these forums. Are you trying to be hip and flame anyone on these forums for no apparent reason just because everyone else does?

Thanks, you just made yourself look stupid.

You may log off the internet =)

*Pulls up Manual again* *cough* Okay lets see here

*reads*
"INSTRUCTIONS:
Place in TS3/Mods/Packages. Requires Hack Framework.
Install optional configuration package.
Delete the file MYDOCU~1/ELECTR~1/THESIM~1/scriptcache.package."

Check

*reads*
"COMPATIBILITY:
Base: 1.29 & Corresponding Expansions
Compatible with all Awesomeware.
Do not attempt to install with other core script mods. It will not work.
There can by only one."

Check.

*reads*
"---- WHAT DOES IT DO? ----

This batch file downloads and installs AwesomeMod, RuleOf6, NoGreenHair, StrayGnomeFix, 3booter and FPS Limiter automatically when you run it. After downloading, it will start 3booter.
New files will only be downloaded if there's a new version available. If everything is up to date, nothing will be downloaded and 3booter will be started immediately.
Please note that the updater ONLY updates AwesomeMod, RuleOf6, NoGreenHair and StrayGnomeFix if it finds them on your system."

Check

*reads*
"---- HOW DO I INSTALL IT? ----

1. Unzip wget.exe and unzip.exe to your system's Windows folder (usually "C:\Windows").
These files are needed to actually download the files, and to unzip the downloaded zip files.

2. Unzip locale.aweupd to your system's Windows folder (usually "C:\Windows").
This file is needed to use the correct localized name of The Sims 3.

3. Unzip updater.bat wherever you want. Make a shortcut or place it directly on your desktop, whatever.
"

Check

What else must I read again in the manuals?

And the Auto-Updater downloads those files for me, how else do you think I got them? Were they given to me from the Matrix by Neo and Morpheus?

Okay so the problem returned. In Sunset Valley, my game started to get really REALLY choppy when increasing speeds with 2-3 keys and it became unbearable and it would also crash a lot more often than usual. So I remade my sim on the town appaloosa plains to see if the problem was with Sunset Valley. Game started off normal, no issues. After an hour of play my game crashed and would keep crashing at the same spot just like the problem I was having with 1.31.

So I ended up turning off the AwesomeMod Story Progression with the AwesomeMod Config file generator on this website, replacing my old config and when I remade my Sim again on Appaloosa plains my game was running smoother and better than ever before. I played for about 5-7 hours straight without a single stutter, lag spike or crash.

Is there something I'm doing wrong when activating the AwesomeMod Story Progression? I left everything else default, I just turned off the story progression via the config file. Should I be turning off the Story Progression in-game in the options for the AwesomeMod Story Progression to work fine? I've seen nothing like that on these forums.

I don't have any other mods, just AwesomeMod and whatever else was given to me via the AwesomeMod Auto Updater, NoBuildSparkles, NoGreenHair, NoIntro, RuleOf6, StrayGnomeFix, 3booter, and FPS Limiter.

Should I remove everything except for AweConf and Awesome.package and try again?
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: CTD after 10 seconds of playing (Not on Loading screen) on: 2012 March 05, 18:34:46
Yes, this is why the 1.31 version is in the TEST folder and not released. I will examine what it is that crashes. Do you know what you were doing at the time that may have crashed?

I started a new sim, and I'd just let time go by hitting 2 or 3 and my sim would automate to reading a book, or sometimes I had him petting the dog and the game would crash, but it'll always be in the same amount of time, a max of maybe 10 seconds would pass by, didn't really matter what my sim was doing, it would always crash.

EDIT: Yes, as a previous poster said. Being in Build mode or creating a sim or just waiting around at a menu the game wouldn't crash. It'll start crashing as soon as you let a few seconds go by in Live Mode. I'm still getting some crashes on 1.29 but that's after a while of playing but i've always had to deal with those kind of crashes so it's no biggy, I just save on a regular basis and restart my game when it starts to seem like it's slowing down or stuttering when the time is fast forwarding.

*shrug* Anyway, It does seem to be an issue with 1.31 because my friend is also experiencing the same problem.

If you need a link to the 1.29 patch here it is for anyone that was looking for it. Just don't  update via the launcher after you reinstall or update in general via the launcher =P

Jeromycraig, with how dead these forums seem to be nowadays I didn't think it mattered =P.

Might as well keep making new posts so people that viewed my thread before can see that it's updated instead of me editing the same post and they not know =).

Anyways, how I fixed this issue is I reinstalled my game and updated to 1.29.

Hope you guys can fix your problem!
10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: CTD after 10 seconds of playing (Not on Loading screen) on: 2012 March 05, 00:19:37
I uninstalled everything, reinstalled everything, updated to 1.29, installed AwesomeMod. Been playing for a little bit without any crashes! Woohoo!

Thanks brain! You're welcome, Arieth! =P
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: CTD after 10 seconds of playing (Not on Loading screen) on: 2012 March 04, 22:47:52
Ignore my previous "Quick Question" apparently there are "Cumulative" patches. They didn't have these when I last played Sims 3, or if they did they were very well hidden because I tried searching for these before =(.

Anyways thanks for the no help! =P

I'll keep you guys updated on my situation after I reinstall everything.
12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: CTD after 10 seconds of playing (Not on Loading screen) on: 2012 March 04, 22:45:14
When I tried searching for "1.31" nothing came up but then I just searched for "patch 1.31" and something actually came up, it was exciting!

Apparently there are issues with 1.31 in general so I'm just gonna uninstall and reinstall everything.

Quick question, Is there a faster way of updating Sims 3 without manually downloading every minor patch increment until you reach what you want?

Or will I have to suffer ;_;
13  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: CTD after 10 seconds of playing (Not on Loading screen) on: 2012 March 04, 20:15:35
Actually. The game just freezes and not CTDs but I'm forced to CTRL ALT DEL but once my task manger comes up then the game gets a message "Game is not responding" then it closes.

Should I just reinstall Sims 3 and update to patch 1.29 instead of 1.31? Is this the issue?

And for anyone wondering  my computer is pretty beefy. (I know my Processor is crap, I want to get a 2600k >.>)

Phenom 1090T 6 cores 4.0 ghz Water cooled
8 gigs of 1600 ram
EVGA Geforce 560 TI Overclocked to 950/1900/2149
Mushkin SSD 120 gig along with 4 other harddrives coming out to a total of 3 TB of space
Windows 7 64 Ultimate

I've gone through quite a few pages and can't seem to find anyone with this problem.

This morning I got Sims 3 along with all expansions installed, I ran the launcher once to update the game, downloaded a 1 gig patch, once that was finished I came here and downloaded the AwesomeMod Auto Updater, it gave me FPSLimit, 3booter, the test version of 1.31 and framework, it installed, I ran the game, everything is looking smooth, I created my Sim, created my pet, picked the House I always pick in Sunset Valley, and everything is still looking smooth, pet my dog, go inside, and in exactly the same amount of time (roughly, give or take a few seconds) the game crashes to desktop, I can't get past this certain spot. I tried remaking my sim completely, making a new game completely but with my Pet, without a Pet, same issue happens.

I tried reinstalling AwesomeMod, I tried installing it the old way by putting the Mods folder in each directory of Sims 3 expansions. I even tried downloading a No cd crack to see if it works but that just crashes my game instantly so I deleted that garbage off my computer.

I couldn't find anything on a certain expansion not working with AwesomeMod except for something with Pets but that was last year but figured that issue will be fixed by now.

Any insight on this issue? Is it in fact an expansion I have installed that is causing this issue?

Really? I even looked back to see if anyone responded about my Freezing problem, I didn't see anything. I'm really sorry! I must of passed over it by accident. =(.

EDIT: I feel really stupid now. =(, I've must of been half-asleep when I was looking through it. Thanks again!
16  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 4.0.87 (AMB) TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 17, 16:37:48
Has anyone been experiencing freezing issues ever since installing AMB with the new Awesomemod? My game freezes, but the trees in the background keep fluttering and I'm forced to force-close my game and lose any progress I made. =(
17  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 4.0.87 (AMB) TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 16, 22:11:18
I keep getting random freezes when using the Test Version of Awesome Mod with Ambitions.

Every now and then my game will freeze, but the crystal over my sims head and the trees in the background keep moving, I'm forced to close out my game and lose any progress I've made =\.
18  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 1.2.7/2.7.7/3.3.11 TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 12, 09:40:07
I got another Flagrant Error, this one happened while my Sim was at work, and I ordered him to recycle the Newspaper.

EDIT: Again, I held down my Enter Key, this time it took longer than normal, I was reading through the Error and I see something that has to do with Cleanup, since the error happened when I tried to recycle that sinful Newspaper. After my Sim got home from work, as I was holding down Enter, I ordered my Sim to clean up anything on the Lot, I had him take out the trash and the Error went away and I'm able to play again.

19  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 1.2.7/2.7.7/3.3.11 TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 12, 07:37:10
Hello, I just got this error while playing. My sim had just received a promotion, when he came home I had him create Lunch, Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich, and this error came up.

The only mods I have running are Awesome Mod and SLAM, Sims Life Age Mod, and a few Slider changing mods in CAS.

This was also a new game.

EDIT: I held down my Enter Key to keep time going since the Error wouldn't go away when Okay was clicked, so like I said, I held down my Enter Key until night time and the Error went away and I was able to play again. Sorry I'm not too savvy with AM Errors and not sure if that was suppose to happen or not. =X.
