226  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Comfort tanked at craft stations - Normal? on: 2006 October 18, 01:32:02
Yes, crafted goods are definitely useful. The only thing I don't get much use out of is the toy station. That and I wish the gold badge didn't take such an unbelievably long time to get, though. It gets awfully annoying not knowing how far it is to go as well, even though I know you can check using an object spawned with the boolprop testingcheatsenabled true cheat.
227  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hack to get your Sims to just stand quietly in CAS? on: 2006 October 15, 15:17:19
Well, that's understandable. The sliders to alter their faces are completely inept when you compare them to the ones in Bodyshop, even if the lighting in Bodyshop is kind of sucky. Something also tells me that you actually play the game and use the Sims born in-game, rather than create Sims with faulty genetics.
228  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Halloween Pack on: 2006 October 14, 16:07:06
I downloaded the summer pack, but didn't want some of the stuff that I knew I'd rarely if ever use. It wasn't that hard to cull the unwanted stuff from the folder. The naming scheme used for the files is pretty good.

Yes, I did just that too. I won't be downloading this pack as I have a feeling it will be very similar to the summer pack. It was a good pack, but a little too large for my tastes and I'm trying to get rid of excess files to cut down on loading time as it is. Holiday decorations are nice, but a bit useless as my Sims don't have any holidays to celebrate.
229  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Customer Selector v2: Hobbsee STILL has a scrawny pencil neck! on: 2006 October 14, 01:41:36
I'm not entirely sure what the changes are, but I'm going to download anyway. I'm sure whatever you've done is most decidedly an improvement.
230  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What downloads to delete to make loading times of game and lots more efficient? on: 2006 October 06, 20:00:17
Yes, skin files are definitely huge and any that you don't use should go. I find that it helps to organize things according to size, check what they are, and remove if them if they aren't worth their gigantic file size. Custom beds are also a bit gigantic in size as well, I have a few that are larger than skintone files.

I've been trying to take a good chunk out of my downloads folder size as well, and have managed to take out about 500 MB of unused content so far. It takes awhile, but I've noticed the game speed improving a bit already.
231  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So what exactly IS it safe to change in SimPE? on: 2006 October 03, 04:26:51
I think the theory is that you're not supposed to do that, because your reward memory is simply "dates, yay".

LMAO.

That's the funniest thing I've heard all day. Certainly I think it's a silly LTW to begin with, but I guess with an aspiration that inspires laziness, what are you going to aspire to? Spend x amount of hours on the couch?
232  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Grilled cheese? on: 2006 October 02, 00:04:48
Ah. Okay. Thanks ever so much, SaraMK. Now my grilled cheese restaurant should be a bit more purposeful.
233  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Undoing Pregnancy on: 2006 October 01, 23:49:46
Yes, I did uncheck the pregnant body flags. Still no luck though. He just got a bigger belly than he did the time before when he aged.
234  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Undoing Pregnancy on: 2006 October 01, 17:56:50
I don't specificly know what it does or anything. I was just doing what Weaver had told me to do a few posts up. If it was randomly assigned too, then it seemingly got assigned at the moment my Sim got pregnant as well. Like I said, I don't really know what I'm doing here.
235  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Undoing Pregnancy on: 2006 October 01, 17:29:11
Hmm. Deleting the pregnancy controller in memories didn't efficiently end it, unfortunately. Ah well.

I have TJ's Casual Romance mod in my game now, though. That and the whole reason I have the risky pregnancy mod in is because it would be realistic and spice up gameplay a bit. I don't want to let it happen with these Sims though, because I'm a control freak about my game.
236  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Undoing Pregnancy on: 2006 October 01, 01:12:03
Weaver, you are a lifesaver, thank you. You wouldn't think that the fact that they were pregnant would be located in memories, but that's me. I was looking all over my Sim's character file and other assorted crap. I never thought to check there.

I've been contemplating getting the Casual Romance Mod for some time now. I'm afraid I don't even know the full extent of what it does yet. I'll just have to read the read me. Thanks again!
237  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Undoing Pregnancy on: 2006 September 30, 22:16:07
Yes, I am aware that InSim has a way to make your Sims no longer pregnant. I tried using it previously and it had failed, and I don't particularly want to have the InSimenator in my game as it is. Thanks for trying to help, though.
238  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Undoing Pregnancy on: 2006 September 30, 21:33:35
Okay, so, I was playing with a risky woohoo mod with the odds lowered a bit on it, so I figured that there wouldn't be any harm in having my Sims woohoo once. I really didn't want either of them to get pregnant before I fulfilled their lifetime wants, but of course the game had other ideas.

So now, being too inept at SimPE to figure out how to do it on my own, I turn to MATY for some help. How would I go about making it so that my Sim was no longer pregnant?
239  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Grilled cheese? on: 2006 September 30, 21:02:54
Avalikia, any chance that you could show me where you got that mod? It sounds pretty cool, even if some townies are constantly pissy because of bad aspiration.
240  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Grilled cheese? on: 2006 September 29, 21:54:44
I've never really played Grilled Cheese Sims unfortunately. I had played one once, but it wasn't too long before I switched them back because I didn't find it very satisfying to play a Sim like that.

If I were to actually play a Grilled Cheese Sim now that I have OFB, I would want to have them open a restaurant. It sounds like a pretty decent idea to me, and I could even have other Grilled Cheese Sims go there to eat. Perhaps have it be entirely Grilled Cheese employed. I don't particularly know if I would want that many Grilled Cheese Sims wandering about, though. That and the townies would probably be awfully annoying when they decide to be upset that they walk into a Grilled Cheese restaurant that doesn't serve anything else.
241  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pillow Fight Obsession on: 2006 September 20, 10:06:06
Alright, I may be reviving a dead thread here, but I just found out that the cause of the problem was something to do with Crammyboy's fish pillow hack thing. At any rate, simply removing it fixed the problem.
242  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pillow Fight Obsession on: 2006 September 18, 00:53:09
I didn't know a program like that existed. That's quite a scary thought, though, that all those files that have been deleted are seemingly not entirely gone.

At any rate, I'll attach all the errors found if you wish. I don't really see anything that would lead to that, but perhaps you will.
243  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pillow Fight Obsession on: 2006 September 18, 00:05:31
The thing that happened was I thought I had merely made a copy of the EA Games folder when I inadvertantly just took a good chunk of it out, then emptied the recycle bin. I have the HDCU and the last time I scanned, nothing came up that seemed relevant to the pillow fight problem. If I can't find anything again, then I'll just boot up Clean Installer and make a list.
244  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pillow Fight Obsession on: 2006 September 17, 23:15:35
Well, yes, after restarting the explorer application I got it to work. Also, I noticed that everything did regenerate after a very quick loading time. All I really lost was my neighborhood, I guess.

It turns out that I do get the pillow fight interaction back after removing the folder, though. I still have no idea what could be causing it and I definitely don't want to do the awful "Remove half of your downloads" thing, so I guess I'll just live without until I can find what's causing it using some other method.

Edited for my atrocious grammar.
245  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pillow Fight Obsession on: 2006 September 17, 22:51:30
Alright, at the moment it appears that Targa's hack was missing from my downloads folder. So in an attempt to remove my downloads folder and prep the game for loading, which I have been meaning to do for awhile, I am notified by my computer that something is using my downloads folder at the moment. In an attempt to muck around with the folder to make the folder removeable, I completely screw up my TS2 folder and now require a reinstall anyway, so this problem should be fixed. Thank god I have my downloads folder still on my desktop and wasn't that far into the game yet, or this would be quite tragic.
246  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pillow Fight Obsession on: 2006 September 17, 22:11:32
I wouldn't mind having my Sims obsess over having a pillow fight again. Some how the option has disappeared entirely from the game, for me. I have no idea what could have caused that.
247  TS2: Burnination / The War Room / Re: The Plague: A Detailed Study on: 2006 September 17, 19:04:03
Yes, well, maybe we need some more sicknesses. Some more powerful ones that are a tad less common, but a bit more fatal. That and they could have unconventional methods of curing. I don't know how or if anyone would go about doing that, but it sounds good to me.

I do agree with our idea of how a sickness should be cured, though. Most people sit down for their entire day doing work and they don't recover from it in 3 hours.
248  TS2: Burnination / The War Room / Re: The Plague: A Detailed Study on: 2006 September 17, 18:15:16
Actually, Pescado, I remember a relative of mine had caught some disease after coming out of the hospital that caused sores on her skin to develope, and if she had not been hygienic and cleaned it out three times a day, it would not be healed by now and probably would have gotten much much worse.
249  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New CEP on: 2006 September 15, 03:03:17
The good thing is, that you can choose whether or not the lighting mod is installed, nectere. Also, I don't really think the update is really needed unless you have the Glamour pack.
250  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: where has my flamingo wall light gone? on: 2006 September 14, 21:49:48
Ah, okay. I thought you meant they removed it from the game. Moving it in the catalog does make so much more sense though. At any rate, I didn't even notice it had even been moved because I don't use that light in practically any of my houses.
