TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: missing expansion packs = missing Life Time Wants?

If you flirt - check sim out then you can usually force the wants to reroll and get back to some date-related wants. If it's a non-controllable date who has got clogged with useless wants, asking them if they like what they see will usually force a reroll. This works best with better matches, a 0 or 1 bolt match may not get a reroll, but it works in most cases.

I do the same, Eleonora. I have the seasons in sync across the whole hood, rotate to the next house at the end of each season, and the season icons tell me where I'm up to in the rotation at any given time. 5 days is just long enough to be getting ready to want to rotate for most lots. There are some where I simply drop in, advance to the next season, suck some life out of the sims there and then go. Permaplat sims with all the kids at uni are just so boring!

I have to second Gwill on baby controller and lobo nanny - the other options result in you still having to direct a lot of the care, not much different to having a parent stay at home. Baby controller and lobo nanny makes it pretty much set and forget. Would be better if the baby controller could recognise the atavera toddler blankets, though.

Still appear to have the same problem in another household. Nuking the pregnancy token doesn't result in an error dialogue, but does make the sim appear to be not-pregnant (TFB option becomes available again), but the sim bumps along as normal at the appropriate time.
Moving the sim out and then back in just results in her appearing as pregnant as before. It's decidedly weird seeing a pregnant sim with the TFB option!

What gives?
I've got the most up to date lot debugger, but the nuke pregnancy token action doesn't seem to be working in the same way as before. No error message pops up at all, and the most annoying thing - even though the sim sees themselves as not being pregnant (try for baby action reappears), they continue to bump along as normal.
Something's not working right here!

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sim can't interact with his wife

I finally got the problem fixed!
It was the husband that couldn't interact - I'd tried various combinations of him moving out alone, with another sim, with another sim doing the moving out, I'd moved him back via merging families at the neighbourhood screen, I'd had his wife propose move in... Nothing worked!
In the end, I got another adult sim to move out and this time took the wife. When I merged the families together again the problem was gone.
I guess it turns out the the queue dropping problem was related to the sim he was trying to interact with, not the sim himself.
Thanks for your help, NVA.

I moved their toddler son out with them just because I didn't want to mess up their order in the neighbourhood screen list thingy.
Bugger! it didn't work!
Did you move the sim back in via merge households, or invite them over and propose - move in?

Having a little bit of a problem here. I've got one sim who can't interact with his wife, every time he tries it just drops from the queue. She can interact with him with no problems, and they can both interact with other sims with no problems.
I've forced errors (reset), I've explored the options on the lot debugger and nothing is helping. Ideas?

Different types of assisted reproduction favour different genders, too.
Apparently male embryos tend to develop slightly faster than female ones, so they are more likely to be put back first. Giving IVF pregnancies a greater chance of having a male baby.
However, if male infertility is involved, the scientists need to catch an individual sperm and inject it into the egg (ICSI), this swings the balance back in the other direction as the female sperm (that sounds wrong!) are easier to catch because they move slower.

What are my options, Pescado? I'll stop by and check them out some time...
As for the custom hair thing... sim with regular hair colours ages to elder. At the change appearance screen, the hair bin will be open to the custom bin instead of the grey bin. If there's a custom version of the hair the sim will have that instead of the intended grey. I have to fix it for every single sim.
I suddenly can't recall if this is happening for maxis hairs or not, but I suspect it is.
