Scope room also causes rerolls...  but means you're likely to get wants related to people who you aren't actually on a date with at that point in time.  Undecided

If you flirt - check sim out then you can usually force the wants to reroll and get back to some date-related wants.  If it's a non-controllable date who has got clogged with useless wants, asking them if they like what they see will usually force a reroll.  This works best with better matches, a 0 or 1 bolt match may not get a reroll, but it works in most cases.

Still not working...   Huh
179  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Microclimates in Uni? on: 2007 July 17, 21:47:39
I do the same, Eleonora.  I have the seasons in sync across the whole hood, rotate to the next house at the end of each season, and the season icons tell me where I'm up to in the rotation at any given time.  5 days is just long enough to be getting ready to want to rotate for most lots.  There are some where I simply drop in, advance to the next season, suck some life out of the sims there and then go.  Permaplat sims with all the kids at uni are just so boring!
180  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Moved in dormie-townie, she's graduated but only has four want slots on: 2007 July 11, 23:13:45
Will that also fix a sim who through some accident at uni ended up with too many want slots?  I'm still not sure what happened, but in the end I added an extra want lock and had her drop out - I just didn't want to see what would happen if the game tried to give her a 7th want slot.
181  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: nannies... on: 2007 July 10, 22:23:30
I have to second Gwill on baby controller and lobo nanny - the other options result in you still having to direct a lot of the care, not much different to having a parent stay at home.  Baby controller and lobo nanny makes it pretty much set and forget.  Would be better if the baby controller could recognise the atavera toddler blankets, though.

Still appear to have the same problem in another household.  Nuking the pregnancy token doesn't result in an error dialogue, but does make the sim appear to be not-pregnant (TFB option becomes available again), but the sim bumps along as normal at the appropriate time.

Moving the sim out and then back in just results in her appearing as pregnant as before.  It's decidedly weird seeing a pregnant sim with the TFB option!
183  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Can't nuke pregnancy token on: 2007 July 07, 04:41:40
What gives?

I've got the most up to date lot debugger, but the nuke pregnancy token action doesn't seem to be working in the same way as before.  No error message pops up at all, and the most annoying thing - even though the sim sees themselves as not being pregnant (try for baby action reappears), they continue to bump along as normal.

Something's not working right here!
184  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sim can't interact with his wife on: 2007 July 06, 09:52:34
I finally got the problem fixed!

It was the husband that couldn't interact - I'd tried various combinations of him moving out alone, with another sim, with another sim doing the moving out, I'd moved him back via merging families at the neighbourhood screen, I'd had his wife propose move in...  Nothing worked!

In the end, I got another adult sim to move out and this time took the wife.  When I merged the families together again the problem was gone.

I guess it turns out the the queue dropping problem was related to the sim he was trying to interact with, not the sim himself.

Thanks for your help, NVA.

Which option is that exactly?  The only one I've seen that I can't figure out is the frobnication thing.  I haven't been game to try it without any idea of what it does.
186  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sim can't interact with his wife on: 2007 July 04, 06:56:35
I moved their toddler son out with them just because I didn't want to mess up their order in the neighbourhood screen list thingy.

Bugger!  it didn't work!

Did you move the sim back in via merge households, or invite them over and propose - move in?

187  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sim can't interact with his wife on: 2007 July 04, 06:50:05
ok, I will try that.  Just to be clear, you moved out the one that can't interact, not the one that can?
188  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Sim can't interact with his wife on: 2007 July 04, 06:03:59
Having a little bit of a problem here.  I've got one sim who can't interact with his wife, every time he tries it just drops from the queue.  She can interact with him with no problems, and they can both interact with other sims with no problems.

I've forced errors (reset), I've explored the options on the lot debugger and nothing is helping.  Ideas?

Checked in my game - you can't purchase uni comm lots from the main hood.

Different types of assisted reproduction favour different genders, too.

Apparently male embryos tend to develop slightly faster than female ones, so they are more likely to be put back first.  Giving IVF pregnancies a greater chance of having a male baby.

However, if male infertility is involved, the scientists need to catch an individual sperm and inject it into the egg (ICSI), this swings the balance back in the other direction as the female sperm (that sounds wrong!) are easier to catch because they move slower.

Are you sure you need one?  I haven't tried it, but I'm looking at a uni sim with the want to buy a community lot, so it seems to me that it's already possible.
192  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Creating Community Lots on: 2007 June 25, 21:33:56
Sorry to ask the bleeding obvious, but it never hurts to check...  the lots are zoned as community lots, yes?  You are visiting them with a controllable sim?
193  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Teleporting Gypsy on: 2007 June 25, 21:22:31
You could just unband the gypsies from the lot.  Through the Adjust...  visitors menu.
194  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: H&M missing child clothing? on: 2007 June 25, 08:07:46
I have seasons, anyway.  Doesn't seem to be helping with this stuff pack.  Undecided
195  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: H&M missing child clothing? on: 2007 June 25, 06:34:25
Like everyone else, I've got the three with the 09 on the front, but not the others...

They don't show up in CAS in debug mode, either.

There's a politician in Australia called Richard Face.  Shocked

198  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Pregnant Sims Wearing Wrong Hair in Seasons on: 2007 June 10, 12:58:57
What are my options, Pescado?  I'll stop by and check them out some time...

As for the custom hair thing...  sim with regular hair colours ages to elder.  At the change appearance screen, the hair bin will be open to the custom bin instead of the grey bin.  If there's a custom version of the hair the sim will have that instead of the intended grey.  I have to fix it for every single sim.

I suddenly can't recall if this is happening for maxis hairs or not, but I suspect it is.
199  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Pregnant Sims Wearing Wrong Hair in Seasons on: 2007 June 10, 10:09:01
Could this be somehow related to my issue with sims reverting to the custom bin on aging to elder?

And is there a simple way to fix it and prevent it happening again?
200  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Pregnant Sims Wearing Wrong Hair in Seasons on: 2007 June 10, 07:08:34
I've a sneaking suspicion it's coming from the set hair style per outfit thingy, even though I'm not actually using it...  you can switch the hair back - I usually select another, then go back to the one I want, and it's then fixed for that sim for all subsequent pregnancies.
