Put the offending files into a subfolder in your Downloads folder.
Run SimPE. From the Tools menu choose Scan Folders. From the drop-down menu at the top, Browse and select the subfolder with the files. Let the scan finish.
Select the file(s) that you want to change. If you want to do more than one file at a time, they all must be the same type of file (same age group, same clothing categories). The scanner window tells you this info and you can sort by type.
Once the files are selected, look on the bottom of the screen and find the tabs that says "Scanner Settings," "Operations," "Cache," and "Debug." Click on Operations.
Scroll down until you see a bunch of checkboxes for clothing categories. Check or uncheck as needed. Click the blue text that says "set."
The checkmarks will vanish from the checkboxes. DO NOT CLICK AGAIN, or you will corrupt the files.
Run the scanner again by clicking the blue "scan" text at the top of the screen. Updated info will appear.
