Front door hack help please.

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Hello.   I think there is a small problem with this one.  After installing
this the delivery person, pizza person and the Chinese delivery person
all don't enter my gate anymore.  My whole lot is enclosed in a
wall with a front gate, well except for the garage door and wall
part of the whole wall.  The delivery guys just stand there untill
time is up and they leave the delivery on the ground and drive away.
I tested this more than a dozen times and the only fix I found
was to remove my gate and leave a 2 tile opening in my wall
and they then were able go up to my front door on a foundation.

Fencing in the whole property is bad with or without the front door hack. Fences also cause a performance hit so what you describe is not a problem to be fixed but a building practise to be avoided.

Have you tried moving your wall and gate back a couple of tiles and giving the delivery sims room to manoeuvre?  If your gate is opening right onto the pavement(sidewalk) and the mailbox and postbox are on the other side, they may be getting stuck.  Or you could try putting an accessible side entrance near to the garage.

And I'd tend to agree with Mirelly, some of the Maxis houses with fences or walls all round are dreadfully slow to play.  I usually just put a decorative bit of fence/wall at the front. and fence in totally a small area with a gnome and a locked gate.
