Ok so I just logged into Sims 2 site to find that their bbs site was hacked on friday night also, coincidence?
Update: The Sims 2 BBS is still down due to the hackings

Well, now I am in, but it's all back to white with no graphics, etc.
I couldn't get graphics either until I put two entries for 216.32.95.35 in my hosts file, one for moreawesomethanyou.com and the other for www.moreawesomethanyou.com. Now the site looks completely normal. I did that and I've not had any problems since. Before, with the www, I didn't get graphics. Without the www, I could not reach the site when clicking on links to threads and the show new replies link at the top. WIth both, it seems to solve both situations for now. |

What I would like to know is why some of us are having no problems (apart from no newsbox) and if it wasn't so damn quiet around here wouldn't be aware of the problem. Blue you might like to let JM know about the bbs, i can post the total entry here if you like, it seems they are under attack from bots

Yeah well they probably don't have a Pescado on staff. BTW I didn't have any trouble with the site at all yesterday, looks identical to normal and I didn't have to do anything to the hosts file or the Internet cache. Weird. |

Man, I was so flipped out when I couldn't get into MATY. I was all, "OMG, I HAVE JUST STARTED PLAYING THE SIMS AGAIN AFTER A THREE MONTH BREAK AND SUDDENLY MATY GOES DOWN!?" Anyway, I ran to simlogical.com only to find out Inge had left ... at which point I decided it was all a VAST CONSPIRACY to remove all cool sims things from the internets ... but then I went to laverwinkle and everything was fine there. *heaves sigh of relief* Wow. This is crazy. I feel like we're all in a hidden bunker somewhere whispering in the dark. (who is this enemy?)  ....who will fight for us? I'll fight! *picks up broadsword* ... Wait, this may not be the right implement for stopping DNS attacks. HOWEVER, if crazies with sticks come running at us, we'll be prepared. |

Hiya all! *waves at MATY peeps* Missed you all - two days without MATY. What a complete and utter pain in the rear this has been. Just so glad that putting two entries in the host file worked. On the subject of the tosser/s who did this, I have some pincers I can put in the fire if some random torture would help? |

Same here. Until I was directed to the laverwinkles thread from necteres site, I was in a panic! But with both entries in my host file, everything seems completely normal. I hope all of this clears up soon without too much more mess and aggrivation. |

Whimper! Three days of MATY deprivation--I've been staring at "server not found" messages all weekend, and only just now found out what the deal was.
I finally got my new PC, Sims 2 and all the EPs are all installed and patched, and I need MATY downloads--I need 'em bad.
It's such a relief to find out MATY is still here.
