Secret society refuses to load

Okay...Currently, I have all EPs and SPs, patched with every patch I could find.

I also have the AL director's cut from here. Yummy.

Now here's the thing.

My Sim gets abducted to the SS lot. Handcuffed, the limo, etc etc. whole bit.

However, when it hits the loading screen after driving off in the limo...it never leaves the loading screen unless I do ctrl-alt-del. Weirdly, when I did this with a previous sim, it loaded fine. No change in what's been installed between the two sims. I'd create an error log, but the very randomness of when or if a sim gets abducted seems to me to prevent that.

I know, I just -know- there's a patch from FFS on this issue, but though I've searched, I can't find it...and am unsure the patch works with AL in any case.

Help?

I'm not sure what's causing the stuck loading screen, but I do know that your sim will get abducted around midnight the day he or she makes the third Secret Society friend.
Could it have anything to do with custom content, I'm wondering? Just for giggles, take the sim that gets stuck and take off all the cc, if any. Who knows, stranger things have made the game work right...

Have you tried playing in debug mode to see if an endless looping error is preventing load?

I try to, but ctrl-shift-C produces nothing.

I should note that when I open the game again, my sim...Gets out of the limo, as if returning from the SS lot.

You might have some software in your PC that overrides that keystroke shortcut. I'm sure this issue already was discussed here, and solved.
