THANKS THIS IS GREAT

While we're on the topic of Ponds... Does any one know of there is a DL for "Live Swimming" koi that we can add to a fish pond?

(Remember the SIms 1 Koi, Man I miss those  Sad)

There are some available on TSR but they are not animated. Simply stick in the pond, thats it... (according to the comments below)

Ideas anyone?

thanks a mill

Not everyone has seasons, or a graphics card capable of displaying the fish. I think simslice made some swimming fish for a pond, you can get them at PMBD.

Yes, simslice did make some, but it's the same as EAxis. Unless you are capable of using shaders, you won't see them.

If you don't have the graphics card to see fish in the pond, why would you assume a third-party mod would be any less graphics-intensive?

Because a third-party mod for fish might not use shaders.

EA's aquarium used to not use shaders for the fish until circa Nightlife. My antique graphics card doesn't know what pixel shaders are, and I just want my fish back.  Cry

Ohhh so it's not just me then.  Here I thought it was a hack conflict I could never resolve.

Had an interesting experience with that myself lately -- Parsimonious has a couple of really nice sets added in their recent space-themed update that have color-changing features -- a dining set with color-change glass inserts, and a shop set with color-change countertops. In my game all they did was flash magenta and black. After various conversation back and forth with Kate and getting a test version of one of the countertops to play with, nothing changed. Finally I thought to wonder if turning on shaders would solve the problem, and lo and behold it did.

(Now I get to recolor them!)

Actually I tried them in game just now and they aren't just deco.  They also aren't animated fully.  They kind of move from square to square in a weird blip-y way.  But the best thing ever is the "say hello" to the chicken animation that the sim does.  It's a little chicken dance thing and it's pretty cute.  But overall I'd say that they suck.
The beer keg available in the parent directory (objects) is pretty funny though.  I had a visitor try to propose to the owner of my brothel which I enjoyed.  Good thing she said no!

Egads, I hated the beer keg and 'party treats' from Simslice! The sims just got a little too weird with those. I understand that IRL people do strange things when under the influence of various substances, but generally incest isn't one of them. Srsly, why on earth would Simslice make it so that sims flirt with blood relatives after taking a few pills? That's just disgusting.
