Ok... Whyyyy does my dog, have no head?.. or tail?

I've looked over the boards here, and didn't see this problem mentioned right off...

Here's my issue. I have dogs, with no top of head, as well as cats with no tails... Pretty damned creepy looking, as when you see the dog, you see into his mouth! what's the deal with this? I'm guessing it's somwe glitch in the animations... Is there a fix?  Please help. My pets look like something from a horror film!

sounds like either a graphic driver issue (what card and what version drivers?), or maybe a bad pet mesh made its way into your game, possibly with a downloaded cat or dog.

Well, the drivers are fine from what I can see... And I've not downloaded any pets from any where. I've tried unistalling the game and reinstalling it as well.. to no avail. Sorry, I should have mentioned this as well.. My bad.

I have had dogs without bodies, just with heads and tails. Changing appearance in the mirror fixes it, at least for some time.

I've seen cats in the game with no tails.  I've got a couple of dogs at home (Real Life) who were born without tails.  I think that part of the game is intentional.

I haven't seen any problem with stray dogs in the game yet.  It's possible that new strays are spawned with some problems.  I wouldn't suspect a graphics problem.

I've had the missing top of the head problem sporadically.  Apparently, the ears are accessories and will sometimes float away like Dr. Pixel's necklace mesh.

When either weird thing happens, I know it's time to save, go to the neighborhood screen, and open the lot again.

Oh that. Take the animal to a mirror and choose "Change Apperance" Dosen't matter WHAT you select but that will put it right.

Happens all the damn time with my cats.
