My vampire is pregnant
« on: 2005 September 19, 00:01:26 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I was trying to get my sim turned into a vampire and so I was having one of my female (and married Wink ) sims cozy up to a vampire. When I went to have her woohoo with the count, I got the option try for a baby so I figured what the heck? I got the lullaby and then soon after that he bit her so now she's a vampire and has morning sickness lol.

I'm not sure if this was intended or not but it sure is interesting. I'll let everyone know how the baby turns out.

I had two vampires have a baby.  Turns out human, unfortunately. Undecided  When the kid hit teenager, I had his dad bite him, and discovered I just couldn't handle three vampires at a time--I spent an hour screaming at them to GET INTO THE HOUSE ALREADY before I gave up and used Inge's painting to make 'em all townies.  Grin

I read somewhere that vampirism isn't genetic, even if both the parents are vampires.    Please let us know how it goes.   LOL    It should be interesting with the little ones awake in the daytime and the parent awake at night.    You may need to hire a Nanny.  And I know how much you enjoy nannies.  giggle

It's not genetic because kids can't be vampires.  Just have their parents chomp on em' when they hit their teens and say it's a rite of passage.

So are vampires immortal?

I haven't noticed any of mine age, but they *can* die if they're in sunlight for too long.  Just ask Countess Viola.... Lips sealed

The only time vampires age is when they enter and/or exit University (teen -> YA and YA -> adult). The guide says they can't die by drowning or starvation, but I'm not sure what happens when they reach those failure states yet.

If a vampire gets starvation, and is autonomously acting, he will bite someone.

Well as was stated, the baby ended up normal, or a regular looking human anyhow since I can hardly consider her family normal. And yes I did hire a nanny though I now need to make a nanny weird enough for that family.

One thing that is annoying the hell out of me though is the vamp's elder parents and little niece keep going down to the basement and sleeping in her god damned coffin. Ugh. I think they won't be happy until I get them all coffins too. :p I'll probably have to put one of those university mine doors on her room and lock to keep them the hell out.

Immortal as in not aging. That's about it.

True. They can only die if they are outside in the sunlight.

I attempted to burn some, however they never caught on fire - my fault really, didn't try hard enough - and they were in sunlight anway so the died because of that.

However in the guide or somewhere it said accidental death is possible. Pretty much the same way you can kill zombies.

Carrigon has a hack over on VS that stops the aggressive motive decay on vampires during the day if you're interested.

Anyone tried the "Peek at" option on the coffin where a vampire is sleeping? I tried it today, I had my headphones on, zoomed in, total silence in the house and it freaked me out!  Shocked lol

Carrigon has done something along this line - She's so into that stuff anyway.
