Old bug is back with puppies

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Didn't know if any geniuses were working on this but remember the old baby abduction?  Well now it's happening with puppies.  NPCs and visitors don't put the puppies or kittens down after snuggling and leave the lots with them.

Edit:  And also just puppy or kitten just dissapears and/or is removed from lot.  As is the case in my latest lot.  Puppy just removed (dissapeared).

Anyone else having this problem and if so what is the work-around?

Thanks,

Pcgeekri

Someone please make a hack for this... Maxis will foul things up horribly if they try to fix it!

Like their fix for Baby Abduction now causes visiting households to leave their baby behind.

When a townie or npc walks off the lot with a puppy it will pop back on the lot.  I tend to find mine in the far back corner but they are there.

As for sims leaving their babies, when you invite household you get a menu of who in the house you want to invite.  Don't invite the babies you can't interact with them so why do you want them there in the first place?

In my latest case the puppy just dissapeared.  In that case a maid finally set the puppy down in the kitchen and the puppy just dissapeared somewhere in the floorboards.  Also the puppy just wasn't seen by the program to be on the lot anymore.

My workaround: had to move the family out of the lot and back in again to get the puppy to reappear.

Did you try waiting until next day to see if they brought the puppy back? Sounds like the bring baby to work thing.

You have to watch the servo too.  Mine didn't put down the puppy when she went to recharge and the poor thing nearly starved.

I wonder if things disappearing in floorboards is a new bug, as I had a sim set down some mail on the floor and it just disappeared.

Yea, probably something they broke while activating the rotatable floor tiles.  I saw it with a full-grown large dog, and with all the cats in the Kat house when I added it to my game.  In both cases the animals ended up back on the floor as soon as they moved.
