My Sims always reset when I enter the lots
« on: 2006 August 31, 04:48:44 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

This has been going on since NL.  Every time I enter a lot all of my Sims are standing and their energy is replenished.  I can leave a lot in the middle of the night with them all sleeping, come back and they are all standing with full energy and the babies are on the floor.

Anyone know what the problem may be and how to fix it?

Thanks for any help.

Every time, even after the first time, without changing anything? You can save and exit the lot and come back in the same session and it does this?

Yep, without fail.  It does this with all of my sims, on all lots in all neighborhoods.  I just have been putting up with it, but was wondering if there was a known reason for it happening.

Something has to be casuing an error every time a lot is loaded then and it would have to be in one of the core controllers most likely.  Have you run with debug mode on and loaded a lot to see if you get any errors?

I had that problem with Nightlife when I first installed it.  I had a bunch of other problems as well, custom content didn't show up and Downtown developed some impressive corrupted graphics.  I reinstalled to fix the other problems and the reset stopped happening.  It drove me mental at the time, though.

Yes, I have been running in debug mode in hopes of getting some error, but nothing.  Weird.

Sometimes I have the same problems on diff lots and it seems linked to some hack objects(LizzLoveWaterbed for ex.) Smiley.
Try to remove all hacked objects on current lot then save lot and reenter on lot again.

I'm glad you mentioned Lizzlove waterbeds.  That ended up being the culprit.  Once those were removed the resetting stopped.

Thanks much to all that replied.  I really appreciate it.
