THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Why are my Sims don't ever die from plummeting the elevator?

NOTE:
*Their needs are almost zero.
*They are woohoo-ing
*Not in a community lot

Does anyone also has this bug?

I have no idea whats going on. You did say something about it not being at a community lot which could possibly be a problem, perhaps?
Maxis did make it so they can die on community lots and maybe that caused a bug where they cant die on residential lots by elevator anymore. I would have to test it out myself

But Sims can't die on Community Lots, especially if they went by themselves. How would you ever get back to the home lot? Does the gravestone just float to the car and go home?

Not only that, but if they did die on a Community Lot, their gravestone would be lost as the lot itself is not saved once you leave.

I heard Maxis say in a chat that they made it so you could plummet to death on community lots. The part about the lost gravestone could be resolved by simply clicking the tombstone and selecting "Place gravestone in my inventory."

Yes, but if the sim was by themselves...would the gravestone be retrivable?

i had a sim die on a community lot. it was her own business lot. The grim reaper popped up and said "it looks like all your sims have died. you have two choices. you can exit without saving and go back to your last saved game, or you can wait for the ghost of your sim to return home. it's up to you." (or something very close to that) then he sat down and turned on the t.v.  Tongue i have not played her home lot since to find out if she actually went home, nor have i tried to re-load that community lot, though (i'm not sure what would happen if she lived alone. A grave stone at that lot? At the community lot? Not sure. Maybe i should try them to find out what happened. ) it was entertaining to see all the customers being shooed out of the lot by a ghost though  Smiley
