I put the family in an empty lot, give it about 1 and a half million dollars, and pull it back to the family bin.

Why don't you just use the familyfunds cheat while they are still in the Lot bin? It's alot faster and less hassle

I thought of something - did anyone else on the home lot earn money in their day job? Because if the home business is open during this time, it will count the salary in the "revenue."

It  IS humble, and doesn't cost much...Smiley. It's just decorated well...Smiley

Humble my ass!

Humble is an outdoor grill and giant bong in the woods.

Although probably also the fastest way to get lvl 10.

I think my game has some math issues as well.
It stated that my expenses were 6000 $ and that I earned 500 $. Totally fine, it was my first day at the shop. But, it says the cash flow is + 6500, which is so not true!

...? Doesn't that make sense? You gained, total, 6500, but you only earned 500 because 6000 of what you earned made up for the expenses. Am I misunderstanding something?

well, considering that I spent more than what I earned, shouldnŽt it be negative?
All the bars are green and I would think they need to be red. I really earned 500 and certainly not 6500 (no one went to work and there were only like 3 customers buying teddy bears, that cannot).

I don't know if this is the issue in your case FroggySim but another thing to think about is the time period of reporting. I believe the reporting period rolls over at midnight. So if you restocked at 11 pm, but then sold one thing the next day at 9 am, your cash flow for the day would show all green (until you restocked again).

That's why I try to keep "regular hours" for my business so I can compare apples to apples. I open my business at 9 am, close at 9 pm, and try to get all restocking done before midnight. Without regular hours there will be big variations in the day-to-day cash flow. Of course overall cash flow is what's important, but I like to see how things are improving from day to day.

Found the source of the hair - was linked there through SimShowcase:

http://www.sussissogoodsims2.com/

I found there a big treasure of nice hair...Smiley

Search in the Free Area.

Grrr...now you made me HAVE to go over to the side and DOWNLOAD HAIR! Just when I just finish sorting out my hair using SIMPE! Sad
(oh yes, sorting hair using simpe even after ofb still works.) Tongue

I never had such postive cash flow before...mine is almost always in the red till lately. I am also of opinion its a glitch.

I never thought about the time it changes...
that could explain a lot of strange things IŽve seen as so far I thought
one period would be the time between one opening and the next or
something like that (stupid me).
IŽll have to do some investigation in various shops. And maybe I need the guide will help.

I don't know if I am weak in maths or if its OFB's issue.

My jap themed shop is pulling in the big bucks (it's now at L10) and I earn five figures everyday I am there selling expensive cheapies to townies.

The issue is with remote managing. Why is that that when I am away from the shop and try to remote manage, the shop only manage to earn a puny $1900 a day?! WTF?!

Going by the prima guide calculation, the remote income should be the equivalent of the average of the previous 5 business days' income.

What is the issue here? Angry

Gali - if you have one of your sims in your neighbourhood get to gold level and sell Snapdragons your other sims can buy them and you can plonk them strategically around the house or business - esp. good next to cash register.  That will keep all motives but sleep up and then no one can criticise you for cheating  Grin

The issue here is that you haven't downloaded antibusinessdecay to stop things like this happening.

As for the actual issue, I'm not sure.

Part of it is also that you will only receive 1/3 of the average income for the business, since you are only paid for 8 hours of it while the business is operated remotely, but when you operate a business, it operates around the clock.

WOuld it be possible to make a hack that would only add and subtract from business funds during business hours on home lots? (Excluding restocking) So that when I upgrade things in the house after business hours it isn't calculated into my business?

No, this appears to be a hardcoded functionality.
