Could someone please explain this error message/log to me

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Could someone please tell me what the problem is here.

I had a sim heading out to the car pool (Hall of Famer career) - she was just going out the front door when 'go to work' dropped out of her queue and I got this error message :

Invalid routing slot specified (param slotNum=1003 numSlots=9) ref 1

The error log is attached.

I had a similar error with another sim in another hood (also Hall of Famer) - when I found him a new job he was fine.  So it seems to be something to do with the Hall of Famer carpool, although it's not affecting every hall of famer.

This is a bug which occurs because the Sports Car used as a mode of transit has fewer loading ports than normal cars. As a result, when the door becomes blocked for some reason, the loading ports become jammed and render it impossible to board the vehicle, and when alternate loading ports are attempted, they don't exist. The same thing can potentially happen with other vehicles that lack alternate loading ports, like the bus or ambulance.

Thanks JM.

I usually send my sims out to the carpool at the 30 minute mark - which for the hall of famer career is 10.30, when the mailman walks past.  It could be either the mailman or the trashcan blocking the car.  I'll try moving the mailbox and the trashcan to the house side of the pavement and see if that stops the problem.

The mailbox must not be moved off the row, but the Hall of Famer Sports Car routinely blocks the mailbox for the mailman, and vice versa. If this happens on your lot, you may wish to try grabbing the mailbox and sliding it a tile or so to the side so it won't do this. The mailbox, however, MUST remain facing the same direction along that strip in the road.

The trashcan may be moved safely, but should not be too far from the box.

What happens when you move the mailbox? I've moved it on several lots and haven't noticed any problems on those lots.  Embarrassed

Certain things use the mailbox for road alignment, so moving the mailbox may cause cars to drive through pedestrians and your living room.

All right!

I suppose it would be unwise to do this just to see this happen?  Cheesy

I've never had it happen, and I've moved the occasional dustbin!

Can you tell us what things use the mailbox for alignment. There are a few sims that need to be run over.  Grin

Oh yes, if the mailbox is round the wrong way, even, the paper then ends up in the road.
