THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Is there a way I can make a Sim a zombie by editing with SimPE? I can't detect any references to the zombie state.
I have edit the skintone to the zombie tone, but still want the dead look without having to kill and faulty resurrect the Sim.

I don't know how to do that but you are aware that once a Sim is turn into a zombie I don't think there is any way to turn it back to normal even with SimPe.

actually you can flag the "life state" not with SimPE but with insimenator or a little doll cheat...

you can find insimenator here: http://www.insimenator.net/

And the doll, made by Numenor (and wintermuteai), here: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=91161

And yes, as of today folks need to register to download at MTS2...

dewshine: "Numenor's doll" is just the Sim Modder which can be spawned with the testing cheats. I don't recall seeing Zombie in there.

Insimenator is not getting on my machine... too much potential for conflicts.

I don't know if the doll I've got has zombie settings or not, now that you mention it.

As I have no zombies in my game I really don't know of any quick way to make one other than insim.  I've been a bit relunctant to use it also, and am testing it conflicts with the mods I like to use currently.  I perfectly understand why you don't want to use it.

So what you are looking for is the setting that insim alters to create zombies? (which would be the same settings altered by a faulty resurrection)?

I believe that Insim is the only way to turn them back to normal sims (at least that I've heard of).

Let me see if I can find those settings for you.

Conflicts? It's the swiss army knife of hacks and repairs. I've never had a problem with that hack. Download the OBJ version, plop it on your lot when you need it, carry on.

I agree w/ the other person - the insim actually has the least conflicts of any other hacks. It's mostly the SIM version that has issues, but the OBJ/DEST versions work like a charm, and on top of that any issues there are get stomped out fairly quickly.

InSIM (SIM version) - currently using it with over a hundred other hacks without any conflicts...

As for zombies, I believe you can use InSIM to switch them to zombie and back again but as I have never bothered with zombies I'm not really sure  Undecided

EDIT - went a looked at the InSIM info

Quote
Click on the RIGHT section of the InSIMenator Machine (the super computer) and you will get some miscellaneous options.

1misc option is - Life state - Change a sim from zombie to sim or sim to zombie (University specific). Turn your sim into a vampire or cure vampirism (Nightlife specific)

I have almost all JM's and TJ's hacks along with several others with the InSimenator SIM edition and have never had a problem with conflicts.
And yes, Sleepycat, you are right in that you can switch life states of sims with the InSim from zombie to vampire to normal as much as you want.

The object version indeed does seem safe. AND it has the option.
Yay.

Hmmmm, I must have an incredibly outdated copy of it then, if I am getting so many conflicts with mine.
It can be quite useful, I suppose.

Not surprising, really. It's not easy keeping up-to-date with these hacks, in fact it's downright time consuming sometimes.
