Playing TS3 Supernatural without super-naturals

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I am pondering getting Supernatural, but I can't make up my mind about it. The thing is, I don't like playing super-naturals - I know, you think: why would you want a Supernatural EP if you don't like playing them. Well, I just don't (want to play them) and my thoughts about getting the EP anyway is, that there may be some fun/interesting game-play and/or things in it that I am missing out on which doesn't revolve around the SN beings. I know there are threads at MTS about the EP and what's in it and not, but as most of the users presumably don't use AM with their game, they wouldn't know how the EP plays with AM installed and I can imagine there could be some major differences when you have tweeked some features in the config. AM will probably have a feature to take care of the SN beings - so there won't be any. Plus a whole lot of other annoyance fixes and other stuff you read about the EP.

Could you shed some light on how the EP plays if you avoid all the gameplay involving SN beings, please? What's left and is it worth installing?

You can turn off supernaturals entirely in the options menu.  You don't need a mod.  The EP is of course mainly geared toward supernatural characters, but even without using them, it adds the Fortune Teller career and rabbit hole, the Alchemy skill, a bunch of new harvestables, collectibles, and new objects, a new world with custom rabbit holes, and adds a lunar cycle to the gameplay that is mostly geared toward supernaturals, but adds a nice graphical change.

Taking your comments (thanks) and what else I have seen about the EP, I'm still on the fence with it. I saw this video, very well made I think, and funny too. Worth watching for anyone who wants a little more than just "Looky here, see all the cool, grim Zombies? Gotta get it!! hype-video reviews" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feNbGXiHgdg

I think I may have to try the "try-out" version, to find out first hand if I like it or not. Wink

I'm actually the same way. I've been considering ARRR-ing it, but honestly wasn't sure it would even be worth the effort. Isn't there beekeeping in SN, though? That could be fun...

Fun for the bees, not so much for the player.

Arr it for the furniture - there are some nice objects in there.
I don't really play the supernaturals, but I do use the furniture and alchemy skill.
Plus: BEES and MUSHROOMS.

Yes, unavoidable for you Cheesy that goes without saying.
And they look real pretty.

So, the bee keeping isn't fun? Maybe because the Sims can get stung...

The stinging (and associated queue stomp) is annoying, but beyond the stinging, beekeeping is just really boring.  Smoke-harvest-clean-feed, move on to the next box.  Because of how the bee boxes are scripted to work, it's often better to just pick up honey from community lots/neighbors every few days, rather than having a box on your own lot.

I've never succeeded in bee keeping! They're so hard, and irrelevant.

Zombies were SO LAME. You don't even get properly attacked by them, there is no brain munching, etc. But all the Twilight spoofs are VERY funny.
