Building my own TARDIS - taking suggestions for what all to include

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I started to work on building a TARDIS in the Sims 3. I have the basics of the park that it's going to be parked in done (Need to finish adding plants later). I have the police box shell built. And I started working on the basement levels (Yes you enter and go down and it's bigger on the inside. All I have done so far is the main control room and a little engine room below. It's not a duplicate more of an original TARDIS creation by me. It took me forever just to get what I have done. Still a lot more to do. And not sure what all I'm going to put into it.

I'm taking suggestions for rooms to include in the floor plan. I know it is totally going to have a pool! Thinking also about building it as an apartment in the game to make it more interesting.

And of course I had to have it land in Lunar Lakes. It was just too fitting.

Here is the famous blue box. Still need to give the roof a slight pitch but I have to save that for the very last thing before the landscaping. Cause I don't want to break the lot using the constrain cheat.

This view gives a better look of the park I created that the TARDIS landed in. I just have to add some alien plants so it goes good with Lunar Lakes. Thought it would be the perfect world to have the TARDIS land in.

So here is the start of the control room for my Sims 3 TARDIS. Still want to create a cool massive chandelier which I'm going to be using columns to make.

Another view of my control room. Hubby and the kids helped me pick out the color scheme.

I really like the idea and the implementation. I reckon it should have a 3D room like Startrek's deck.

That's a good idea. Totally going to have to put that in.

Got some more photos.

This is the engine room below the control room. Getting in close for the photos gave me the chance to fix a couple of things too. Still want to add a few more pieces of furniture later too.

And here are some better ones of the control room. Trying to decide what I am going to do for some seating and control panels in here.

Finished the last details of the control room. Getting ready to start on the rest of the floor plan.

My Sim is even hanging out and trying out stuff to make sure it works. Can't blame her. I would totally hang out in the TARDIS if I had a chance.

Here is the chandelier which is probably my favorite thing about the entire control room.

Thanks! Yup I totally plan to share it once I get it finished. Still a lot of work to do however. I really want to make sure it is packed full of all sorts of stuff. Just like you would expect from the TARDIS.

Also.......

I went and created Clara and the Doctor too, so they could be my test Sims. It felt weird having some other Sim in there testing stuff out. Also got a very quick vid of the two of them Starting up the TARDIS and checking the engine room out.

Also here are a couple more photos.

Clara and the Doctor outside the TARDIS

And here they are inside for the first time. Not sure what simish is for "It's bigger on the inside" or "It's smaller on the outside." Depending on your perspective.

Also here are link to download Clara & The Doctor if anyone wants them. I used their outfits from "The Snowmen" as basis for their formal wear. And tried my best to get Clara's apron for her active wear. Also the Doctor is wearing a Stetson in his active wear.

Both of them Together

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

So I have been busy doing more work on the TARDIS. I managed to get the layout of all four floors worth of corridors done. Very twisty. Here are links to the photos of the current layout. There is a lot of black due to there only really being the control room done at the time. Thus I am doing links and not the photos of them.

http://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/y481/Cheryl_Caffee/Screenshot-4_zps9ef52297.jpg

Then I started work on the swimming pool. I would never forget it Jezzer. I needed to make it two floors high in order to make sure there weren't issues when using the diving board. I didn't want just a totally unused space on that second level however so I added a little overlooking balcony up there with seating and a mini bar. I also wanted to include a way for them to BBQ near the pool as normally your deck/pool would be where you would do that. So I built a mini kitchen just off the pool. It has a mini fridge and Grill no stove or anything the real kitchen is coming later.

Finally I went back to the control room and the engine room because it was bugging me how long it took them to get down to the engine room from above. So to fix the issue I added fire-man poles. I would rather have ladders but that is going to have to wait until June. (Island Paradise can not get here soon enough). And of course in order to make room for the poles took some changes. Just little ones in the control room. But I had to do a lot of changes on the center floor area in the control room. The shape is no longer an octagon. I do however find it much more interesting down there now.

And yeah bunk beds are cool Janette. Totally can't wait to work on some of the bedrooms. Probably going to be a few different kinds of them too. And of course I'm thinking that the wardrobe is going to be surrounded by the bedrooms. Kind of like a little hub for them. And it's probably going to be 2 floors too.

And oh the library The Doctor must have.... That is going to be fun.
