An extracted Uni vanity mesh... Is possible?
« on: 2011 April 25, 18:54:00 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

One of my long-term sims-quests has been to use some of the great CC vanities out there without having to install the Uni EP (I really don't like Maxis' imposed additional life stage plus my game takes up too much space as it is). I've looked long and hard at every site you could think of (here, MTS2, GoS, BPS, SC, Maxis' Sims Store, even TSR. And Google searches) for an existing one without success.

So, I thought this would be the ultimate (as in both most-definitive and last-chance-before-I-consider-it-a-lost-cause) place to ask: is it even possible to extract an EP object like the Uni vanity?

If not, please tell me.
If it is, is there anyone with Uni willing to try?

You don't have to send your sims to college, so the additional life stage is not "imposed" on you in any way.  Your sims will simply age to Adult at the end of the teen stage if you don't send them to college.

Yes, thank you jeromycraig. I was already aware of that; it's really more of a game loading/file size management issue. I'm a bit of a download-aholic, but I feel it's a little silly to buy and install a whole EP just for one mesh.

Also, an annoying thing about Uni if you don't actually play Uni is that all of your sims get an automagic bad memory about not going to college when they grow up, and IIRC the knowledge sims actually get a fear of it and then cry about it later.

There's a mod to fix that.

Oh, that's good to know.  I probably would have made something like that if I didn't just send all of my sims to uni as way to get them to spend all of their ill-gotten gains.
