Swimming pool glitch after WA? SOLVED.

I believe this started after WA and the patch upgrading the game, and it's related with adding EA basement to the game. The problem is you can't see your sims swimming any more. They all "sink" to the lower level:

Do you also have this problem or it's just me?

Try turning up your detail settings? Object-hiding is one of the game's lazinesses on lower settings.

No go. With details on the highest, it's still the same.

I'm seeing this, too. I also assumed it has something to do with the new basement feature.

I'm not getting it. I think you're getting this because your high-detail-lots setting is very low, and it looks like your lot is being rendered in low-detail as a result. Wait for it to morph into high-detail. Notice how the water quality in the first screenshot is crap?

High-detail-lots setting shouldn't have anything to do with it. The camera is right on the lot. Everything is rendered.

This is when he just jumped in and bobbed up. The next second, he disappeared to the lower level.

I don't have WA, but since the last patch I have noticed when I build a pool, there is an extra lower level that I must go down to see swimming too. Doesn't happen everytime, but only on lots with EA basement tool used although I really don't like that basement tool, everything looks dark and spooky.  I still hate the extra click down cause of the pool.

I have everything up to high detail and no object hiding clicked.

I have to point out that simply building a pool, without the EA basement tool being used, will result in the sinking of swimmers for me.

Try increasing your draw distance. Maybe that is cutting it off.

It's the advance rendering. It has to be checked for most of the pool water effects. When I had it off, my pools were pitch black.
